  1. On the other cruises I've done with Celebrity there wasn't an issue using the "classic pkg" at the Martini bar. It's just the way you are made feel when ordering and then being told sorry you have to go to another bar. We don't serve martinis on the classic pkg!! Instead of saying, we serve 3 types and would be in the 2 oz glass.....ok I'm fine with that!!! I won't be upgrading as with the Canadian dollar it just don't make sense. I think I've paid enough! I will get served by some other nice bartenders at another bar....like I did before. I've had some pretty nice ones too....and never question it! The Martini bar is making us feel like we aren't worthy of staying there and only the wealthy are welcome....imo...lol. Or at least that's how I was treated!!! They also will ignore you as long as possible!!! That's just mean! Maybe a trip to guest services could be on the agenda in Apr on our sailing if this happens again.
  2. See that's ridiculous that we are made feel this way. No one should be refused a drink. Not like we didn't pay for a pkg!! Perk or no, price is still built in!! 😞😞

  4. I've been on the Eclipse, Equinox, the Infinity and Reflection, and having the classic pkg. On the first 2 ships I could get 3 types of martinis at the martini bar in the smaller glasses, but on the Reflection I was made feel very bad....in that only premium pkg clients were accepted there. They did not want to serve me. There was a very kind gentleman who passed in his card and put my drink on his account, premium pkg. I think it's ridiculous that people are made to feel this way. Serve the drinks in the glasses that are to be provided with the selected drink package. We darn well pay for the packages anyway!!! JMO
  5. Fabulous review. Loved reading it and looking at the beautiful pictures! Hoping to do similar itinerary or at least "Malta" in it. Not sure which one it will be as looking for Spring 2021, and nothing released yet! Thanks again!

  7. I have a question regarding the so called beverage pkg promotions that are offered? Like the bogo 30% and the bogo 50%? So my girlfriend and I are taking a 6 night cruise in November and purchased the bogo at 30% off approx 3 months ago for $844 Canadian. So she sees the new promo offered yesterday, bogo 50% off. So she cancelled the first one to rebook the better deal the 50% one! It was the same price!! That can't be right so she calls RC directly to straighten it out. They are still telling her it's the same price??? She asked to speak to a manager so the attendant briefly asked her manager why there wasn't any difference only to come back with some crappy answer, So now she wanted to speak directly to the manager. She's put on hold for a very extended period of time so she hung up. Doesn't make any sense. Something fishy going on with that!! Anyone have any issues with this? Any advice is welcome. We have since emailed our TA to see if she can straighten it out. Thanks, Cathy
  8. Hey, was on Infinity last November and it was lovely. Food was a little hit or miss but mostly fine. Never really saw much wear and tear. I would do that ship again only now it’s down to a 4 night itinerary. We had a great cruise! Enjoy what ever one you choose. Happy cruising!
  9. Not sure if this is where I’m supposed to post but... Just off the Reflection and was in cabin # 3119 OV. The piping goes through the ceiling. If you want any sleep don’t choose this cabin. On our 10 night cruise, we tried getting moved after second day but apparently our cabin wasn’t considered an emergency!!! Just an FYI!!
  10. For anyone interested in getting any sleep on your cruise. FYI, don’t get OV 3119. We just got off Apr 1st (Mar 22nd sailing) and had very little sleep as the water pipes are above this room. All you can hear day and night is a very loud swooshing sound. We asked to be moved but no luck. It certainly put a damper on this cruise. On our last cruise we were on the Equinox and same deck with no problems at all.
  11. Sailed on Infinity in November and in my opinion the piano isn’t in a very good place. There aren’t many seating places and you have people/waiters walking by all the time. It’s right next to the Bar. The music however was lovely to listen to. He engages the audience.
  12. Try "Tiami" catamaran. We went with them a few years ago. Had a great time. Yes beer was served. Not crowded. Great reviews on them as well. Good luck!
  13. Hi, I have a question, I'm sailing on the Infinity later this month and I already have another cruise booked for March on the Reflection(10 nights). I'm wondering, if that's already booked with a TA, with an OV, would it be better to cancel booking and rebook onboard with the supposedly better perks? Possibly moving to a better category (veranda)? We have the 2 perks already, classic beverage pkg and a $300 OBC. Hope I made sense in explaining...lol Thanks, Catherine

  15. So glad to hear she is still in good shape. My friend and I will be on her Nov 24th. Has anyone see a thread for this date? I'm sure I posted to a roll call ( I know or I thought I read that there are no roll calls for under 7 days) but I did post somewhere about the cruise but cannot find it anywhere. I've been searching for the date and it's not listed. Can someone please help? Thank you, Cathy
  16. Deepest condolences to Mr Cosol's family. Did a tour with his company/ brother in law "Yellow Bird" a few years ago. Enjoyed it very much. On the tour they went out of their way to rearrange the schedule so that I could do the mud bath while others went to the volcano. They had arranged for another guide to come with myself and my hubby and stay with us until we were picked up! Fabulous service. I do hope they can keep this reputable company going. I hope his murderers are punished to the fullest extent of the law!!!!!
  17. Look up Sheepy Tours. We used this tour a few years ago and enjoyed it. This was before the devastating hurricane. I am pleased to report that he is back in business. I have him on FB and he had pictures on of a group doing a tour. Looked great!!!
  18. Dominica was such a beautiful unspoiled island. While the lush vegetation and beautiful tours up in the mountains, there most certainly are beaches. I was to a black sand beach called Mero beach a few years ago. Had such a lovely day there. I certainly hope they are able to rebuild their beautiful island.
