  1. We were dropped off and picked up from terminals in Barcelona. They use taxis, so it will not be a problem
  2. How big are the backpacks? If they will fit on your lap, I would not worry. The luggage is to fit in a car or do they send a people carrier. Las Ramblas has traffic along the sides so you will get close. 1hr is fine, give your flight info and they will monitor your arrival.
  3. The price is given when you book your journey. I created a profile with photo on their site and paid with a credit card. The drivers use whatsapp to stay in contact, if you give them your number, our drivers all sent a message saying where they were. Great for an airport transfer. An email confirms the driver name and a photo, vehicle type. If plans change you can adjust from your phone. A little more than a regular taxi, but worthwhile. Check the TripAdvisor reviews, lots of happy customers.
  4. We used them 4 times in June and were very happy. I recommended them to a friend who visited Barcelona over the weekend, also very impressed.
  5. We used "welcome pickups" for 4 transfers in Barcelona. They use taxis but are pre booked with your route, you have the drivers details and you will get an English speaking driver. Give your flight info and they will chexk for delays, message you to confirm they are at the airport, you can advise of delays with customs or bags etc. You can give them your ship name so they will know which port. Most ships use "Mol Adossat" pier but smaller ships can use the city terminals e.g. berth S. The cost is given online and pre paid, so no messing to pay on the day. It is similar price to a taxi from the line, but good value for the convenience. I decided to change time of our transfer from port to hotel a couple of days from the end of our cruise, very easy from my phone.
  6. Elite on X, we have sailed Riviera 3 times the only reason we have to return to Celebrity is the Open Passage we bought years ago. X is less for more money. O is value, excursions aside.
  7. On our 10 night it was the night of the Chef's Market buffet, which in our case was night 6. Then on the final night, we had dinner at Toscana so skipped Tapas that night
  8. Hi ORV more likely we met on Riviera in Nov 2015 from Venice to Barcelona. I remember joining you at an Oceania club party. We were waiting our turn at the front desk when we saw staff at the concierge desk with beverage package signs. They were free, so we asked them to upgrade us. So whichever option is quickest, they all work.
  9. Prices are per glass, or bottle which seems to defeat the idea of trying new wines unless you share a bottle. We had the prestige package, so all except the bottom 3 connosiuer wines were included. The tapas was very good. They offer a 3 x small glass wine flight of your choice too, price similar to a single glass.
  10. We enjoyed this on our recent Riviera sailing. It was held twice, firstly Spanish, then a Mediterranean list. It was quiet when we went, but hope it gets supported as it is a nice idea.
  11. House Select - No Prestige - Yes The only thing we found not included in prestige were the 3 connosiuer wines by the glass ($25+ per glass) at the new wine bar in La Reserve, one of the menus is attached.
  12. We used OBC to upgrade. Right after boarding visit the concierge desk to reissue our cards. It includes gratuity, plus also the Spanish IVA tax which would have been payable otherwise. The house package alone would have been borderline for us with no sea days, but with the upgrade, it was a good move. Happy hours became invisible with magic cards as every hour was happy.
  13. The nearest metro stop is 10 mins walk to the "Les Corts" stop which is on the L3 line so is a route into the main hub at Pl. Catalunya. For general travel the local bus #7 is only a 2 min walk to the Diagonal - Entenca stop. This goes to Pl. Catalunya too. Each bus stop has a list of the bus routes so are easy to use. You validate a journey in a machine on the bus on boarding. The good news is that a metro ticket such as the T10 (10 journeys for aroun €12) covers both options and transfers between the bus / train. You can buy T10 tickets at metro stations from the ticket machines, in english, and the 10 trips can be shared by a group. The HOHO is a good orientation, but there are 3 lines on the one I am familiar with BusTuristic (spelling?). To cover all the city takes all day without actually hopping off much. It is an expensive way to go if you know which places you wish to see. It depends on the plan you have. As for close to the hotel, it is probable that you will have some choice, I cannot see what is nearby, but add it looks like a business area, I world imagine there will be. Try Streetview to take a look...
  14. We walked into town last week. It takes around 50 minutes.
