Another subjective question

I hear that but we are a year away as well so I think there is plenty of time for conditions to improve as well so I think we cant count it out yet. -

There are basically no days in port. It is going to Labadee and Coco Cay so extension of the ship. -
Another subjective question

Oh to be clear, we never get drunk without the kids either. When I say we get our money's worth i just mean it financially works to our benefit and that we can justify it financially. We never get crazy. And we definitely wouldn't with the kids. I am assuming that it will be less drinking for us, which again isn't anything crazy to begin with. -
Another subjective question

No. We are only select so no vouchers for us yet. -
We are taking our first family cruise with young kids now that they are both potty trained and old enough to actually enjoy themselves. We are not new to cruising but mostly with Celebrity. The cruise will be a summer cruise, 5 nights and the ports are Labadee (as of right now, understand that it might change but it is a year away) and Coco Cay. Normally on Celebrity we get the drink package as part of the perks and upgrade to the premium for the convenience and we build the cost into planning. We are not big drinkers in our regular life but do manage to get our moneys worth on cruises, though never get sloppy or anything. So all that is the background info. Being we will have kids that will be less drinking but then the package works for both ports so all do for the five days. With water and coffee it seems like it might be worth it. Probably will end up getting it but thought others thoughts might be helpfully in deciding since it is a bigger expense as well. Thoughts?

Cruising with Younger kids
georgiaguy replied to georgiaguy's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The ultra spacious are the ones with the bunk beds. I hear what you are saying about the bunk beds but I wouldn’t say that is a big concern for us. Our kids would probably see it as an adventure and I slept in a bunk bed when I was six. Ultimately it came down to price for us. It was the right balance of space and price. We chose the spacious oceanview on deck 12 that were part of the newly added cabins a few years ago. It also comes with a walk in closet and is a deck above the Windjammer and right next to the kids club. We may end up sleeping on the sofa bed ourselves if the kids cant slumber party it but we will have the night before at the hotel to figure that out. Here is what it looks like: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/category-detail.php?c=508#google_vignette Here is the comparison chart for those interested. Jr Suite - $6023, 299 sq ft 2 balconies - $4984, 188 sq ft per Spacious ocean view- $3569, 211 sq ft Ultra spacious OV - $4381, 351 sq ft -

Well this one has the walk in closet and lots of storage. The shower will be a little tricky but as long as it has the hose that detaches that should be fine for us. -

Just thought I would come back and update. We ended up booking one of the 3M Spacious Ocean Views up on deck 12. Only 1 bathroom but a lot more space in general. -

Cruising with Younger kids

Yeah. That one may change but it is on the itinerary right now. We would not feel cheated if it was changed to another port as long as it still has a beach. -

Oh should have said that the idea of the semi-private/private room (depending on config) for the bunk beds also sounds nice for the adults. -
Hey everyone, As a couple, we prefer to cruise with Celebrity, but we are considering a cruise on Freedom next summer. We went on Freedom a decade ago, but that was back in our dating days, so it was just the two of us. Our kids will be 4 & 6, and we will also be traveling with two other family groups, but they will all likely be in standard cabins. The cruise is 5 nights and goes to CocoCay and Labadee, which sounds perfect because this will be the first cruise for all the kids. Real question, what are your thoughts on the ultra spacious cabins for a family of four? Is the higher price worth it for the extra space? Anything else I should be thinking about as we decide? I know much of this is subjective, but I thought it doesn't hurt to ask.

Well I can guarantee that I am not looking at it because of their adjectives. I get they are selling a product. The couple reviews I did find mentioned the food was good so I was looking here to see if any here might have ever used them.

I was thinking the same thing.

So we committed the sin of booking a guarantee stateroom because we aren't really concerned about where we are as long as it is on the ship. Anyway, funny thing happened. The room is showing on the app, but it still looks like it has not yet been assigned on the website. I am pretty sure that means it is assigned but thought I would probe the masses for other opinions. And sure, I could call, but what's the fun in that? PS I am happy with the possibly maybe could be assigned room.

Thanks and good to know. Ours will be earlier in OCtober so hopefully no issues like that.

We booked on Oct. 10/10/26 and got $120 OBC from CEL & $276 from our cruise agent.

I would love some help if you have any suggestions. We are planning our next cruise leaving out of Fort Lauderdale in Oct. The day before our cruise is actually our 10th wedding anniversary. With the cruise booked, I am not going too out there because there will be plenty of romance opportunities on the ship, but I don't want to do just a normal pre-cruise night either. I am thinking it might be nice down near the beach, a little further from the airport, and less big box hotel. We are willing to spend a little bit but nothing crazy. Say $300/night budget. I proposed on the beach and so being down on the beach seems like a great full circle. I am looking at the central beach area. We are also going to be landing early afternoon so we will have time to enjoy the evening without feeling rushed. So what do you think? Have any romantic ideas?

Yeah I didn't proofread this. You got me. Also i am a notoriously bad typist when im not typing for work.I typed it out quickly and wasn't careful. What I wanted to know in general is, is pricing inflated right now. I was also trying to acknowledge the specific sale because we all understand that sometimes that means they inflate the price to give a discount. Mostly this was me trying to get a bigger picture of the general prices in cruising. We can't afford to cruise without saving up and planning. More so since I want this to be special. Honestly I was amused. I apologize if you found my comment flippant. I was trying to save folks time and effort of trying to tell me things like "there is always another sale" or "if you like it, book it". That's all. But I appreciate everyone who took the time to respond. Thanks.

Sometimes I wonder if folks read everything you write. lol not mad or anything but some of you literally responded with things I said I knew. I went ahead and booked it…now 18 months to dream about it.

Ok. First, I know that another sale is just around the corner. There is always another sale. Some are better than others, but mostly it evens out. I get that, and that is not the question. Context: We are looking at a cruise in October of 2026 since that will be our 10th anniversary, and we want to do something special. We like to book far out so that we have time to save up and really enjoy our vacations. We are looking at the ABC islands cruise on Reflection. Question: That all said. We have just started looking and the price seems pretty good, so we are probably going to book it, but I also have no idea how prices are right now because I haven't looked at cruise prices in a while. Does this current "Spring Sale" with "75% off your second guest’s fare and save up to an additional $400 per room". Just wondering peoples thoughts.

We are looking at an Oct ABC cruise and in just looking around at possible ideas to get general cost ideas, particularly if we want to spend a bit more on one particular day. I came across an excursion but didnt really find much on here. Epic Tours has a “Catamaran Snorkel & BBQ Sail (cruise friendly)”. On their site the describe it like this. What can you expect from this cruise ship excursion? • Sailing and snorkeling in Bonaire National Marine Park • The best lunch in Bonaire made from our on-board grill • Premium open bar (soda’s, rum punch, beers, wines and prosecco) • All-inclusive service on board • Guided snorkeling with our certified snorkel guides • Free use of our premium snorkel gear such as masks, snorkel, fins, snorkeling vests and swimming noodles • The tour is perfectly attuned to arrival and departure time of your cruise ship • 4-hour sail trip Any thoughts on this?

6302 is across the hall so not sure exactly what is below it. We didnt spend a ton of time on the balcony but the time we did we didnt notice smoking though that may have been because it seemed like folks spent time out there in the evenings/nights.
