  1. Thanks for the clarification. I assumed at the very least NCL would offer coffee packs for sale, for our convenience of course. 😁
  2. I'm confused by the OP's question here. Does Norwegian provide coffee machine in balcony cabins but no coffee?
  3. I posted this on the Ocean Medallion Question Thread but had no response so I'll try again here: I'm Ocean Ready but a Canadian resident so need to pick up my OM at the port in Vancouver. Can anyone who's been in that situation explain what embarkation will be like? Will being Ocean Ready make any difference if I don't already have the medallion?

  5. From other comments on this board I believe the early arrival in and departures from Vancouver are due to the tide levels and Royal's need to slip in under the Lion's Gate Bridge at low tide.
  6. Forgive me if this question has been answered above and I missed it: Does this mean you have to call NCL to book using a CruiseNext certificate and it can't be used by booking online on the NCL site?
  7. Thanks so much for writing such a detailed review. I look forward to following along with the rest of it. I haven't sailed on Princess before but am book on a Coastal cruise to LA next month. I'm sure I'll learn a lot about the Royal from your review.
  8. Thanks for that, fishywood. I read these boards primarily for information but every so often am rewarded with entertainment value as well. 😁
  9. I'll be on Royal in September ... first time on Princess ... and am wondering about the "confusing layout" of the buffet. What makes it confusing and do people have any helpful hints on successfully manoeuvring through this area?
  10. Thanks to all who responded. I confess, now that I know what it is ... bangers and mash, meat pie, etc. ... I don't think it's really my thing but many others clearly enjoy it if the line starts early and gets long. We're lucky the cruise lines have something for every taste. 😊
  11. Thanks for the info. And in which venue(s)?
  12. I have seen "Pub Lunch" mentioned a few times in this forum but can find no reference to it on the Princess website. Where and when is it offered?
