  1. There is an opportunity to cross the border to Canada near Skagway. If its open and you want to go then you will need a passport.
  2. Please call Princess to better understand penalties/ insurance refund. If you cancel a month out the penalty is maybe ~50% Then with your CFR insurance you can minimize loss and take the same cruise in Fall instead. I think it goes up to 75% if cancel within a month.
  3. There were a couple days with more motions on the way to Hawaii when we sailed early April last year, also on Emerald Princess. The rest were calm and smooth sailing on the way back.
  4. I sailed on Emerald Princess to Hawaii last April. It was a fantastic cruise with Hawaii Ambassadors ELUA on board. Most notable were probably almost daily uklele and hula dance lessons. If you search Youtube you can find many final farewell performances by the students. Lots pple brought their own ukelele onboard. There were a couple as leis making sessions, we also helped made some extras for the crew members! yes I brought mine off the ship, no problem. There were also some other fees base crafts that I didn’t have time to participate. Every evening ELUA also performed Hawai
  5. Only you can decide what is the right for you. My neighbor is currently on Princess cruise in Hawaii right now and I haven’t heard anything her. She is in her 70’s although her sister had urged her to cancel but she wasn’t concerned. She was really looking for to travel with her friends. Have you tried to contact Princess to see if maybe they will let you postpone to a later date without too much penalties? They have cruises to Hawaii until end April. I don’t have any personal experience with this type of request but it doesn’t hurt to ask. safe travels
  6. I have sailed on both ships multiple times. Golden had a lot leaky pipes issues and fans going on multiple decks day and night for the whole duration when I was on a transpacific cruise in 2018 - not to mention buckets . Never saw this on any other Princess ships ever. You may want to take a look of 2019 reviews to see problems have been fixed. I was happy with Ruby Princess when I cruised Hawaii earlier this year - Adagio bar is a great Place to sit on sea days
  7. yes they do. Aon has to determine if it's covered or non covered reason (Btw, Traveling companion is covered reason but it depends on how it's defined.) If Aon determines it's not covered then it goes to Princess program administrator. If you still have PDF file that Princess sent upon purchasing the insurance, it has all the phone #
  8. Yes. we were on a transpacific cruise to Anchorage cruise with 4 days in Alaska then another cruise to Vancouver. Mom was sick last evening of the of cruise, after seeing on board doctor, we just decided to cancel the second cruise next day and returned home. I actually filed 2 separate claims. The cancelled cruise claim was processed promptly. Full cruise fare refund plus Princess EZ airfare from Aon. Port fees/tax were credited to original payment method by Princess after cancellation. The first cruise claim took a little longer because I had to wait for her medical insurance c
  9. I have filed for cancelled cruise and filed it online through Aon. The full refund (platinum protection) check was issued by Aon. It was an easy and painless, got my check in 4 weeks.
  10. On Nieuw Amsterdam Alaska cruise they served Escargot the first Gala night.
