  1. Hope to meet you tonight at the pre cruise cocktail party. If not, then tomorrow at sail away. We cruised this TA last year as well. You are in for a treat. Happy celebrating! Dawn
  2. Kevin, Enjoy your sailing. We are currently in Barcelona, about to embark a different line for a 12 night Barcelona to Venice, five nights in Venice, then back to BCN for the TA on the Equinox to Fort Lauderdale. We will be in Rome/civitavecchia on the 12th - sorry we will miss you! Dawn
  3. Lovely. We are in Barcelona now, getting ready to embark in the morning. Now, the Vueling stories have me braced for our upcoming flight Venice back to Barcelona. I had read that htey were better than Ryanair. Oh, well, too late to do anything about it now! For us it is just a 90 minute flight. Enjoy your future adventures. Dawn
  4. In a little more than two weeks we will sail for the fifth time on NCL - 12 night Barcelona to Venice followed by our fifth cruise on Celebrity - transatlantic Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale. We are excited for both. We receive much better loyalty perks on Celebrity - free laundry, free internet minutes, three evening cocktail vouchers etc..., but we enjoy the lower pricing and casual atmosphere on NCL. It is a win win. We are on a floating resort and not shoveling snow somewhere. Dawn
  5. We have been to Spain/Portugal in April and early November. Barcelona was wet in the spring/ perfect in the fall. Conversely, Portugal was warm in the spring and cool in autumn. Either way, bring layers and a good attitude. Enjoy! Dawn
  6. We have our third sailing on the Equinox coming up next month. It will feel like coming home once we board! Dawn
  7. We essentially did a similar thing - had a TA scheduled from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, booked airfare that would allow us to add a Med cruise or we would spend those days in Spain. We saw the Spirit sailing drop and jumped on at it 5 weeks out. A week and a half later, the price dropped another $400. Although we would have loved to have saved the extra money, it would have been a bit more nerve wracking to wait any longer than we did. Good luck and I hope you get what you want! Dawn
  8. We are getting the same message, but were still able to complete our online check in and print out documents. Dawn
  9. One month from today. Spirit from Barcelona to Venice. Can't wait! Dawn
  10. Look into our roll call. Friendly bunch, always room for more! Dawn
  11. I used to receive the Tuesday emails, but no longer. When I log onto Celebrity and click sign up for specials, I am given the prompt that I am already signed up. Any suggestions? We are booked on the Equinox TA in October and would love to jump on the previous sailing at the right price if it becomes available last minute - right now it is nearly two and a half times more than what we paid last year. Thanks, Dawn
  12. Thank you. I have heard that Blu is best on the Solstice class ships. Maggie began in Blu on our 12 night Barcelona then switched to the MDR on the Transatlantic. Blu is wonderful - a bit more quiet, the food portions are spot on and just a bit more flavorful (my opinion). If you have never been to Barcelona, the HO/HO bus is a good way to begin. Enjoy, Dawn
