  1. One exception to that is notable in my memory was on Nieuw Amsterdam in her introductory year. The musical group Cantare was allowed to use the Nieuw Amsterdam's stage capabilities to the max. There performance remains the best musical performance that I have experienced on any HAL ship in recent years. I say amen to this Crew News. We would catch the early and late shows. They were the best.
  2. Hi Jacqui, Bud & Marianne booked 11 Day embarking Nov. 10th 2021 on the Rotterdam with our 2 daughters and a grandson. Each year I tell you that this will be our last cruise, BUT I'm sure that this WILL be our last. We have enjoyed each and every one and we have loving memories of each one. Thanks for what you do and have done for a long time.

  6. I should know this, but its been almost 3 years since our last cruise. Does anyone know the charge for dinner at the Tamarind. We are 4 Star Mariners. Thanks for your help.
  7. Similar to my situation. It took 3 days to receive word that it was ok'd. Keep the faith. I keep getting mail from my PCC that she is experiencing heavier than usual e-mail and voice mail and that is why my questions are not answered immediately.
  8. I received a phone call from Holland America Monday afternoon. The caller said she was my new cruise consultant. I told the young lady that I no longer book directly with HAL, but use the big box store for my booking. She wanted to know why, so I told her it was because their OBC made it cheaper for us. She said for me to find our how much they offered and that she would try to match it. I did and she did, so I did a new booking through her. I also found out that the big box store now uses a gift card instead of giving an OBC as they had done in the past. Lets see how things word out

  11. Thanks to all who responded to my question. As suggested, we have delayed our departure from 10 AM to 2:20 PM. The reason we booked 10 AM in the first place was because it was a non stop flight. Not so with the new one. With Thanksgiving one day away, we are thankful that we had a choice. We wish all of the Cruise Critic family a blessed Thanksgiving. Bud & Marianne
  12. I should know the answer but I thought I'd ask anyway. We have a return flight to Houston after the cruise that departs at 10:10. We use Luggage Direct and if it is the same as before we will leave the ship around 8 AM. Enough time to Uber to FLL? Thanks
