Harmless little whitetip reef
If you do a morning dive in Nassau which is possible on a single-day port stop, usually the blacktips come out as they feed them in the afternoon and therefore associate divers as a feeder
Yep, we were chasing them all week long in Fiji. Stayed a little further away from the 10' bull sharks. It would still make me fill the wetsuit if it came 2' from me from behind like that guy. At the end you can hear me laughing in the regulator. The guy is kind of a dick so wouldn't have minded seeing him take a little chunk out of his fin tip 🙂

Good Morning -- We depart on the Apex this Saturday and DH has booked a small group scuba excursion through Celebrity in Grand Cayman. Has anyone done this excursion and can provide a review? Also, it states wetsuit not provided but doesn't mention if there will be any available for rent or if so, the cost etc.,. This lack of information has my DH questioning if he wants to cancel his reservation, so hoping someone here can advise of any personal experiences. Thanks in advance!!
We did the excursion through celebrity in GC a couple years ago. Wetsuits will be available for rent and they were $10 then. It is an ok dive but if he is an advanced diver you are better to arrange diving with a private company. They cater to the least trained diver in the group and everybody else has to dive at that level. If there are enough divers they sometimes split the group into advanced and beginners so you get more wreck penetration and more bottom time than the beginner group.

Lets hope they also tried the great looking but god awful deserts at the buffet and something can finally get done about that. How hard can it be to bake a cake and slap some frosting on it that actually has some flavor to it.

When we have our half cow done at the butcher I tell them to grind all that up as hamburger. Makes a great hamburger but definitely not a good steak or even a roast.

If this replaces a Nassau port day then sign me up.

Right away. Make sure you have been assigned CAS numbers before your cruise. Call the CAS (1-800-526-9723) to verify or log into your CP.
I have a number and have logged in but it says I have no points and i'm at the pre lowest level of C&A. Do I need to give them my Celebrity # to get cross line benefits or is it in their system already?

Doing our first RCI cruise this summer. Question is does my loyalty status on Celebrity kick in right away for this cruise or only after completing the first RCI cruise?

I was hoping for something we could do for free because we have 11 of us taking an excursion in the morning. Big $$$
There is a trail right behind the train stop in town, we hiked up to the upper falls. The kids believed all the fools gold in the sand by the stream is real gold. Nice hike. Don't be intimidated by the first 1/4 mile, it gets a lot easier.

Roatan's ORIGINAL Fun-n-Sun Group Tour & Best Cruise Ship Excursion | Sloth Hugs (boddentours.com)
Roatan: I would recommend the fun n sun group excursion with Victor Bodden at Bodden Tours. Adults and kids will love it
Costa Maya: Would recommend Maya Chan all inclusive beach club www.costamayabeachresort.com
Cozumel: The Amazing Race Cozumel was a lot of fun and you get to see and learn something at the same time.

We sail out of sydney and are spending a couple days there pre cruise. We debark in Aukland and will be flying out the same day. I know we need the Australia visa but would we need a NZ visa if not staying?

We were on this cruise too. Wasn't sure what to think about the IV balcony thingy but we also loved it. In fact my wife insisted on having the window open all night long. Only sound was the ship cutting through the waves, no wind sound but there was a constant nice breeze all night long. Food was great, Rooftop Garden surprised me as to how good it was. No waits anywhere on the ship and the staff was great. Really don't know why there was a port day in Nassau, it is so far out of the way and to me a worthless stop. It seemed to also cut our port time in other ports due to having to basically back track to Ft Lauderdale before heading south.

Norwegian might be a good middle ground between RCCL and Celebrity. Big but not goliath ships, great entertainment with a lot going on it seemed and surprisingly good food. Geared towards the middle agers more I would say.

Just got the call back after submitting my request last night and booked Beyond for Dec 4th so now we have the caribbean in December on Beyond and Mexican Riviera on Solstice in february. Total cost for 2 cruises for 2 people in balcony cabins a little over $600. I'll rearrange my schedule every time for that deal.

Once you submit your date preference and continue, what kind of cash are you actually paying out of your own pocket ? I take it this is for cruise only with no All Included?
Taxes, port charges and gratuities. Cruise only

I've gotten both offers now and if I spend $50 in the casino for the week it was a big gambling week for us. The last cruise the only time we were in the casino was when walking through it to get somewhere. It doesn't seem like spending is a criteria.

So I got and took the offer for the Mexican Riviera and then yesterday I got the offer for the caribbean blue chip offer. Are they really going to give me 2 free cruises? I sent in the choices last night so we will see what happens.

I've always heard that the current version of internet at sea is very expensive for the cruise lines to provide. I would think Starlink could actually be less expensive than the current version to the cruise lines. I really doubt that they would forward on the potential savings to the customer if that is actually the case. I'd pay 5.00/day

So I got the email back with the booking number, room assignment and everything. Do I now need to call them and confirm it and pay or is there a way I can do this online like a regular booking and payment? They could cut down on a lot of the phone calls and hold time if this could be completed online.

Sweet, Now I feel like I should have played the powerball last weekend too.

Last weekend I got an email from Celebrity offering a free 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise supposedly through the Blue Chip program which as far as I know I never joined. It looked legit so I filled out my sail date requests. Today I get the booking confirmation for a 7th floor bump out balcony room cruise late feb 2023 to Cabo. All I have to pay is port charges. We have sailed Celebrity many times but some trips we never gamble and once in a while will spend less than 50.00 for the week. Is this a legit cruise offering. I've never been offered anything like this before.

I've always heard that even the present internet at sea is very expensive for the cruise lines. I would almost think that Satellite internet like Starlink would be cheaper. The problem is that cost isn't usually related to the actual cost on cruise ships, it's what people would be willing to pay for that service.

I love Celebrity and that is my favorite cruise line but my god there are some stuck up snotty celebrity flag waving people that put down every other cruise line. I had sailed a couple NCL cruises 15-20 years ago and was not at all impressed. Said I didn't want to go on another NCL cruise. Then i saw and booked a great deal and really good itinerary on the NCL Breakaway about 4 years ago and it was one of the best cruises i've been on. Food in the main dining room was much better than my last Edge cruise and the production shows on NCL are also much better than the shows on Celebrity. Is it as elegant, nope but sometimes we don't need that or want it. Met great people just like we have on all the lines we have sailed with and wouldn't hesitate to go on NCL again if the price and itinerary was what I was looking for. Try it, you just might like it

E class gyms
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
That is my one big complaint about the E Class ships is no front of the ship viewing area for us peasants in steerage.
