  1. Go with the Navigator! Wirh the new upgrades you will love it! I have been on the Dream out of NO. It was nice but a one time thing.

You will be happier trying something new and different. Galveston is on the Caribbean. It took some 8 hours of murky brown water on the Mississippi to get to the Caribbean. I like seeing the beautiful blue water getting on the ship and get like it was nice but a waste of cruise time.

The snorkeling on Roatan at West Bay Beach surpasses all the places we’ve been to in the Caribbean. We did the day pass at Bananarama and it was in the perfect spot to snorkel. They pick you up just outside the port and bring you back when you want. It cost like $35/person. You CANNOT best the price. Leave your bags on your chairs guarded by their security, walk to the left just a little (in front of the beautiful Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Hotel) and walk out into the water. It will not disappoint.

It will be worth the longer drive to the port and the increase in money. Trust me! 😊

  2. Has anyone rented a 6 passenger electric car in Key West?

This is our first time there and thought that would be the way to go.

    Am I right?

If so, which rental company has the nicest/newest 6 passenger electric cars with the best service.

They are all about the same price.

    Thanks for your advice.

We will book ahead so they are in stock.

  3.

hoping the sound insulation is better then the oceanviews on other ships.

the cabin is right in the middle of the galley.

can you move to the forward of 2334 or more forward of that area

Too late, just paid our balance yesterday. Praying for quiet nights. I will pack my earplugs.

Thanks for getting back to me.

  4. Coming to NO in April. We will have a day as a family (kids are 22 and older) to see NO before cruising the next day.

What places should we be sure not to miss and what places/areas should we stay clear from?

    Thank you!!

I heard that many side streets are dangerous and it is best to just stay on the main street. Also, that I should leave jewelry in the hotel, as well as a large pocketbook. The less stuff, the better.

    YES???

  5. I'd be curious to know how much those dolphins pictures will cost.

Found an excellent deal in Cozumel for a royal swim for 90 bucks pp since we booked and paid for it 60 days before. saved 60 bucks pp but no one will give me information on pricing for pictures.

you can haggle on pic prices

    Hi Serene56,

Glad to see you are still active on CC. Sorry to bother you, but since you are a wealth of information, I was wondering if you had a minute to tell me about 2 rooms on the Carnival Dream, Cove balcony rooms 2354 and 2350. I am hoping they are quiet rooms. Thank you for your time! Happy Sailing!!

  6. Thank you CruisinCrow and hancogran! I appreciate you taking the time to give me some first hand advice!

I will talk it over with my husband.

jwlnroe, thanks for responding. I had to double check that I had the name right. haha. So many beaches out there. :)

    Safe travels!

    Phyllis

  7. We are sailing the Oasis during Spring Break. We get into Nassau at 7 and depart at 2.

We usually try to go to the beach and do a little shopping or site seeing in Caribbean ports...

Is Cabbage Beach worth grabbing a cab to go to for a few hours? Certainly cheaper than Atlantis for such a short amount of time. Anyone know what a cab runs and how much a chair to rent costs?

This is our first time to Nassau.

    Thank you for your time.

  8. Hi! Does anyone have photos or a list of the 2014 menus for the OASIS?

If so, please post them. Thank you!!!

We are sailing 4/5 and my husband had a heart attack last August. He emailed RC asking for a low salt diet. I am not sure if low sugar was an option but we've made major eating changes in our home.

Thank you for your help and time. Just trying to plan ahead. :)

  9. On my 50th birthday my wife put in the cruise compass a happy birthday to me notice, but they published it as a 50th anniversary. My wife was only 48 at the time, so she would have been married to me two years before she was born.

They credited the charge for the posting because it was their mistake.

Also on the 6th day, RCCL made a mistake in the announcement of the backstage tour. It said: "Your Invited.." It Should be "You're Invited.."

    This bothers me.

I am a teacher. I catch those errors, as well, but it doesn't ruin my day or cruise. Every day on a cruise is a great day! Happy sailing! Sorry they messed up your kind birthday jesture.

  10. They start the tour at either the Museum of Science or the Prudential Center. Check out their site, as it takes you all over and gives you a fun and quick history of the town. I grew up in Burlington, Massachusetts and have lived in San Diego for 30 years. Boston is still home and a great city! I met 8 girlfriends in Boston 2 yrs. ago for 5 days and we started our first full day at Charlie's Sandwich Shop (my cousin's restaurant on Columbus Avenue) and then the Duck Tour from the Prudential Center. It was well worth the $ and a lot of fun! It gives a good overview of the city with interesting tidbits.

Quote on their website - "You've never toured Boston in anything that comes close to this tour. The fun begins as soon as you board your "DUCK," an authentic World War II amphibious landing vehicle, renovated for sightseeing. First, you'll be greeted by one of the legendary tour ConDUCKtors, who'll be narrating the tour. Then you're off on a journey like you've never had before. You'll cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts! View such sights as the golden-domed State House to Bunker Hill and the TD Banknorth Garden, Boston Common and Copley Square to the Big Dig, Government Center to fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the Prudential Tower, and more. As the best of Boston unfolds before your eyes, your ConDUCKtor will be giving lots of little known facts and interesting insights about the unique and wonderful city of Boston."

    Here is their website:

Yes, Quincy Market is a must and well worth your time. Legal Seafood, a 10 minute walk away, is a terrific place for fish, but a little pricey. Union Oyster House (around the corner from Quincy Market) has the best clam chowdah and is the oldest restaurant in the country!

Enjoy Beantown. There's so much to see and never enough time - a Sox game, a swan boat ride, a Sam Adams beer in the restaurant right across from his burial site, a slice of Boston cream pie at the Parker House, a slice of Regina pizza, fried clams, lobstah...I'm getting homesick and hungry. Have a fun time!

  11. It is too bad that you had an experience like that. Was he a member of the taxi association? The members of the association have photo ID's which they do wear. Did his license plate on his vehicle begin with a T and yellow?

Is there a particular person or company you would recommend to use for a tour around St. Kitts? I see that you frequent CC and know alot about the island. Also, would you recommend spending a few hours at the Marriott using their pool, etc. and enjoy the scenery and R&R over going to Cockershell Beach? Thanks for your advise.
