Yes you can use any OBC in the casino. Just charge play to your on board account. The accounting system will automatically use non refundable OBCfirst, then refundable. You can not use the casino as an ATM. you must actually play.

Just off the Ruby a few weeks ago. No one ever checked loyalty level when entering the PES afternoon cocktail hour. It also was not very crowded.

There are a bunch of sailings from Boston this summer. Some are not RT but one way to Quebec City. You can make them RT by booking b2b. Take a look to see what is available.

Go to Princess.com, Find Cruises, Start/End Point, Select New York, to see sailings from New York. Princess typically sails from NYC to New England & Quebec in late summer and fall. They have also added some NYC sailings on the Island Princess and there are a few repositioning cruises. They don't have weekly sailings year round as some other lines do.

You have to check your OBC as mentioned in post #2. If the TAs OBC is mentioned there it can be used to pre-book excursions. Some TA OBC is not applied until final payment, and sometimes not until you actually board. If it does not show then your have to inquire with your TA.

I had the same issue. I was told on board that it probably was because I did not enter my credit card in the Shoreside section of the app, but the tech that answered was really not certain. The outcome wasn't any real problem. It took less than 5 minutes to pick up at the pier in Ft. Lauderdale.

There were no slippers in my cabin on my recent Ruby Princess cruise. There was a robe in the closet when I boarded. I don't see slippers mentioned anywhere in standard cabin or full suite benefits.

The original locks are not as large as the new locks. The original locks can handle ships 106 ft. wide x 965 ft long. The Coral Princess is just about this size and thus it is a Panamax size ship. Ships in the original locks maintain centering by electric 'mules which ride along rails on the sides of the canal. There is only a few feet between the side of the ship and the lock walls. The new locks are much larger and able to handle longer & wider ships to allow new build cargo ships to pass. Ships remain centered in the locks by tugs. The new locks have a water recovery system making them more water efficient than the original locks. You can look up lots of detained information and photos on line.

Yes. Every time, 6 last time one month ago, I transited the canal there was a narrator who is on the bridge and provided information over the ship's PA system. This information is a broadcast on cabin TVs.

The door is 22 inches wide. Person will have to be able to walk and stand some to use the bathroom and shower. There is a step into the bathroom. There are some rentals that do fit through the doors. Scooters can not be parked in the hallways. The hall is way too narrow.

Princess excursion? You will be brought back on board. You will have to wait until you are on board to determine the water shuttle schedule overnight.

Sailed on the Ruby a few weeks ago. Main lido deck pools were not warm. Hot tubs were around 100 degrees. I would expect the same for a Hawaii sailing. As mentioned I did see the pools drained and refilled.

It depends on when your flight arrives, and how much time you have. One evening in Manhattan is a really short amount of time with high cost for the hotel, transport, and meals. No matter what you select it will not be inexpensive. I would think that the least expensive would be a hotel near the airport with a taxi, uber or some other car service to the pier the next day. The hotel concierge most likely could arrange something. If you decide to spend the evening in Manhattan then expect high costs to get there from the airport, to get from the hotel to Brooklyn, as well as the hotel and meal costs. I would not take the Princess transfer to the pier on boarding day. Way easier and probably no significant extra costs for 4 to take private transport from the hotel to the pier. I would suggest a Princess transfer on disembarkation from the pier to the airport.

Forget all those costs, they mean nothing. They are just marketing promotion. Like others have indicated the value of the plus fare is NOT related to the cost of the individual items included in the fare. It does not matter if you book yourself or through a T.A. The cost of the plus package is $60/pp/day, that is it. I have found, no matter how I calculate, that the breakeven point for the plus fare is somewhere around 2 to 3 alcoholic beverages per day. The 3 basic items are the daily gratuity, the unlimited wifi and the beverage package. Take for example the casual meals. You may never have one, or if you are on a cruise with Alfredo's you may go twice and use both. So that value could be zero or around $35 over the cruise. I was just off 24 day b2b cruise. I saw very few people ever order one of their premium desserts, let alone 2 per day. In reality you may try a few. That value may be again zero or maybe $40/$50 over a cruise, maybe higher if you like lots of calories, and goppy sundaes.

If you really want them you can bring along some. No issue. What happens on one ship, one sailing may not be the same on all ships. None in Crooners this past month on the Ruby. Hopefully they will return at some point. Unsalted peanuts were available in a small bowl as a salad topping in the Horizon Ct. Can't be certain they will always be there. I did see some people place a few spoonfuls into a bowl.

This is kind of the standard. It does not mean very much. In Port Everglades everyone waits outside the terminal until around 9:30 or so. You then have to go through security, cumbersome, crowded, can be slow. No priority. Once through security passengers break into the green line for those that have their medallions an blue line for those that don't. Blue line makes a quick stop, took less than 5 minutes, to pick up the medallion. You are then moved upstairs. Boarding begins somewhere around 11am and maybe earlier. Once it begins it goes very quickly. If there is some waiting before boarding begins then priority boarders will board first. If you arrive upstairs after boarding begins you just go with the others. Boarding is controlled so there are not too many on the gangway at the same time. Now with all that said I have read on these boards about a special pre-embarkation lounge in Ft. Lauderdale for full suite passengers. Here is the link. You may wish to investigate.

Sabatini's serves a 6 course Italian dinner. Crown Grill is steak, lamb, some seafood. I don't know if fresh seafood is served while in Alaska waters. You can ask at the restaurant desk in front of the facility. Crown Grill is $39 + 18% service charge = $46.02/pp. Sabatini's is $35 = 18% = $41.30/pp. I enjoyed both and had enough OBC to cover the costs. I booked on board on a longer Caribbean cruise. This may be difficult on a short Alaska cruise. When booked in advance you have to pay upfront and can not use OBC.
