  2. LPYRCRUISER , thank you for your honest review. We board Magic next month (different itinerary 8 days instead of 6). We've cruised Princess - very laid back- this is not the fun ship cruise line. With that said, we enjoyed ourselves- food is very subjective as is how you receive the entertainment - a vacation (land or sea) is what you make of it.
  3. You can also apply the gift card to your sign & sail at the kiosks- if the guest service line is too long.
  4. Yes you do self-assist and the info regarding this will be in your cabin the night before. They usually call for self assist people around 6-7am.
  5. my understanding on cruise cash, it's a use it of lose it situation, correct? But with a Carnival e-gift or gift card if the balance left is more than $10, Carnival returns this to you in the form of a new gift card. ….just something to consider.....
  6. Correct-you apply it once on board, either via Guest Services or the kiosk, and it will be used first -after any onboard credits you might have to reduce your total cruise bill. Enjoy your cruise!
  7. this is how it was on Vista but I've read other ships are now converting to the free Carnival HUB app as the means to make a reservation for Anytime Dining.

  9. tomato or tomatoe- thank you baby jesus-your opinion on what I do or don't doesn't matter- pay all my bills and you'll have a say that truly matters. I know who I am- I'm a thoughtful and courteous cruiser who happens to enjoy listening to a little smooth jazz in the evening with my husband on the balcony I paid to use for the time period we are on the ship.
  10. I play my bluetooth speaker every cruise- never had an issue and will continue to do so. I cannot answer the issue the other poster says occurred I can only speak on what my experience has been.
  11. Actually my balcony is an extension of my cabin- per Carnival. It is not a "public space"...but again we aren't going to be neighbors- I actually know who will be in the cabins next to me. Happy Sailing!
  12. You do realize according to Carnival the balcony is considered part of my stateroom, so I can in fact use my Bluetooth speaker on it without it being against rules & regulations.   14. Thank you for your concern but the music isn't loud enough to disturb those around us....and I don't use EarPods, I'm a Samsung woman not and iPhone chick . Happy Sailing!
