In the letter cancelling my April 2021 cruise there was this paragraph: · A $150 discount + Lower Deposit! If you purchase a $150 CruiseFirst certificate, which is a certificate towards your next cruise, we will match it with an additional $150 discount. For CruiseFirst terms and conditions, please visit https://www.ncl.com/terms/cruisefirst. My emphasis. This is the first time I remember seeing this term. All the Cruisenext certificates were $250. Is this something new or did I just missed it before?

TA on Escape 4/16 - Looking Less Likely :(
JayS replied to LCfromFL's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I am with you on the Escape. I haven't booked return air and will wait until I am sure it will sail. -
The second one looks like the one from the Escape. What are the dates of the menus. It is given in the fine print at the bottom. The Escape is dated 8/12/19. Too bad the Tomahawk is extra. I would use 2 of my SDP's just for that.😁 Interesting to see the changes once the ships sail.🙄

JayS started following Specialty Restaurant Menus
-
A lot of people asked for the specialty menus before sailing, myself included. I noticed in my April 2021Escape booking NCL is placing a link to most of the menus. Teppanyaki is not showing a menu. Is NCL becoming more customer friendly? Here is the link to Cagneys https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/Cagney's%20Fleet%20Dinner%20Menu_Premium%20Cut%20Tomahawk_1.pdf

Escape at POM, heading to Asia & Breakaway to Europe
JayS replied to mking8288's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I was told the Escape, Breakaway and Getaway can NOT go through the Panama Canal because the life boats hang outboard of the ship making it too wide even for the new locks. The Bliss has its life boats inboard. It is most noticeable in the Local (the new O'Sheehan ) A smaller dining area. -
HI I am joining you on this one.😁 On the Getaway TA last year there was a bus run by the local Transit. Cost a few Euros. The ticket was also good on all the local transit systems. Only problem it was Sunday and Everything was closed outside of the tourist store at the docks.

IMHO the reason CCL cancelled out of NY is they were running only one ship the Sunrise. The last scheduled cruise was a repro on Oct 19. It probably was not worth the effort to get to NY for the few cruises left in the year. Ncl has more ships out of NY scheduled. I may book something in November IF NCL starts sailing again.

It was my first Carnival ship. Also it was the only steam ship. All the others were diesel except the first which was steam converted to diesel. A memory is standing on the Lido deck on night and they started the soot blowers.☹️

Anyone get their CruiseNext certs back in their acct yet?
JayS replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Got my 2 CNs back today. They are dated to expire 3-21-2021. I will see if they can be extended. I used them to book the April 19 cruise on May 31,2019. -
Casino on the Bliss.. Two fold question if you please....
JayS replied to ScottVV's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I have been on the Bliss. All but the Pai Gow Poker and Texas Holdem tournament I remember on the Bliss. These two may be on the Bliss but not in my memory🤔. -
On the Bliss last DEC 6 for 5 BJ on lower limits, don't remember where or if 3 for 2 was offered. Continuous shuffle machine was used. If there was a shoe I didn't notice. On the specialty diners you should get several appetizers , one entree , and several deserts. https://www.ncl.com/specialty-dining-package/faq Sometimes the wait staff will try to give you the Platinum package of one app, $35 max entree and one desert. There are up-charge for the package but it is on the menu. DON"T forget to logoff when using the wifi or the time limit will ru
