  1. Awesome! Hopefully we’ll have better luck this time than our sunrise debacle! I agree, a pool would be nice…but a dedicated outside area to find a quiet place to read is a bonus for me. I struggled this fall to find a spot outside that had room and was shady and quiet. Up by the trellis bar was nice but it was roasting! We’re doing our first journeys cruise in a few weeks and have to see how I fare.
  2. We enjoyed it in 2023. We’ve gotten some great prices on some of the unique itineraries…and you can’t beat the convenience of jumping on nj transit to get there and not driving or paying to park.
  3. We’re on 7 for that cruise. Looking at terrazza for 2025
  4. We’ll be on that sailing with you to Bermuda! And we’re right down the road in Hamilton!
  5. Thank you! Yes I can see the white storage area on the map. Good knowing a few doors down may be better. We didn’t see a lot of people in the bar on our trip either. We had the outside to ourselves after 7 one night when we went outside to check it out. Thinking I can skip the cabana bc there’s such nice exclusive seating steps outside your cabin.
  6. Trying to do something of a small splurge for our 10th anniversary trip. We've been on Venezia already but have yet to meet anyone who has sailed the Terrazza interiors. Found lots of reviews on the cabanas but not much on interiors. Can anyone comment on the noise level since I know they back up to the lounge? The cabanas are bit out of reach...but thinking this may a be nice compromise.
  7. I have had no issues with that. My venezia double points for on board spend showed up in September and so did our other cruise in August.
  8. They just wrote me back saying there's an issue with the 10% back as well getting credited. They tell me they are working on it to resolve it. I'm owed a 10% credit, double points on my cruise pay off and the excursion and I still need to book 2 more excursions.
  9. They did message me back saying there’s an issue for 2x points they are trying to resolve, but put in a request to correct my points. My shore ex only posted this weekend so if the 10% doesn’t show up in a few days, I’ll message again. Sucks bc I have more shore ex to buy
  10. I just noticed something similar. Paid off my cruise and bought a shore excursion. No double points and I have yet to get my 10% excursion credit.
  11. The mushroom like things are a park called "Little island". There's a very cool modern marvels or nat geo episode out on it's construction. It's a really cool place to walk and hang out and not feel like you're in the city at all.
  12. It's a good thing you switched from the early 9/8 cruise with us....we got hit with a detour to the Bahamas and never made it to the Virgin islands as planned. Interested to heard your review of this one! We're booked for Venezia journeys in Feb.
  13. Ever since they cut down to just canada (halifax, sydney, st john) or short trips to st john on a 4 day, they haven't sold. The prices were higher and selling better when it was Portland, Boston, Halifax and St John. I'd prefer the NE stops get added back.
  14. Good luck! My husband is almost 6 years post ablation and is considered a “success”. Though it could always come back and is never guaranteed. His a fib too also had a mind of its own. The longer you can go post ablation without an episode is a high indicator of success. You’re already almost to the first milestone of 6 months. Hope you continue to get great results. It has been life changing for my husband. For the Op, talk to your cardiologist or electrophysiologist. Our electro who did my husbands ablation had no issues telling us to go ahead and cruise in September after a July ablation. We’re in our 40s for reference. However, he recommended getting and traveling with an Omron brand blood pressure cuff that has the built in irregular heartbeat detector. Just to give us peace of mind or be able to know we needed to seek medical help. We now are stepping it up to travel with a much smaller device called a Kardia mobile that interacts with smart phones. We definitely seek travel insurance that makes sure we have preexisting condition coverage. And if you’re going to any beaches, make your wife wears water shoes…you do not need a foot cut on blood thinners.
  15. We've duct taped it down to prevent tripping in a few cabins. No issues. Tacking it down in a few places worked well
  16. I'm going to advise you to just grab a traditional yellow taxi. They have a taxi stand outside Penn in multiple locations. Follow the overhead signs in the terminal. Trying to grab an uber in the mess of taxis there is challenging. It's trying to find your uber and them finding a place they can pull over for you. We've learned just to go with a taxi from the taxi stand there over the years.
  17. the brits, epic rock, studio vip and the motown one....we sailed in late jan/early feb
  18. Car service can come to the terminal..but debark is a cluster in NYC. It's a very small pickup area and very chaotic trying to flag down your car bc there is no easy place for them to wait and they are thrown back out in 1 way traffic. Even grabbing an uber was difficult. One year we actually crossed the main highway and went to the other side to get a ride. If it's a weekday, I'd stick with your carnival transfers at debark.
  19. literally just booked a week ago...and we just made the deposit which is the same as the casino offer.
  20. Hi friend, can you share who you use since we're not too far south of you? Ordinarily we just hop on NJ transit since we live near a station, but we've booked a Journeys cruise with friends in Feb 2024 and were thinking of car service since its 4 of us, extra luggage, etc.
  21. Where are you in Ocean? My husband works in Ocean and we live in Mercer. We live near the Hamilton Station. Its a much safer station than Trenton to leave your car and easy to get here via 195. No transfers needed...direct to NY Penn I also agree with the previous poster who said getting a weekday cab at the port when debarking is impossible based on past experience! We purposely planned our Venezia cruises to come back on weekends. I have a journeys cruise for 2024 booked and it comes back on a Friday...I'm dreading it.
  22. Figuring someone on here would know. My husband just started getting some offers in the last few months and we booked the one he had last week for a Journeys cruise. We also booked another cruise not under casino as it wasn't included in his offer, but as early saver bc the price was great as well as the obc. His new casino offer beats the early saver offer. Is there any option for us to switch to his casino promo for that sailing? We met a few folks in Jan that said this leeway may be changing, What are the guidelines here as far as changing offers or price matching?
  23. Same, friends have tried to link us thru the online thing and we’ve tried to link them..but no emails are ever sent,
