  1. Only the ROCK CIRCUS and HOUSE OF HOUDINI shows in the carosel lounge must be booked in advance. Both of these shows are a bit cheaper if prebooked be be forewarned if the shows are cancelled like they were on our cruise they will not give you a refund or onboard credit while onboard and advise you to contact cusyomer service after the cruise. This happened to us. Customer service gave us the run around and never did give us the refund. We eventually filed a credit card dispute and got our funds back that way.
  2. Sounds familair. We were on the Meraviglia last October. Both carousel shows were cancelled and because we had prepaid they would not give us a refund or onboard credit. Like you we were told to contact customer service when we got home. I did and after many emails and calls stating that they were waiting for authourization from head office (not sure why they need authorization, they cancelled the shows). A couple months later I had to file a credit card dispute to get the funds back. I just received notice from the credit card that my dispute was valid and the funds were returned. The cruise was otherwise excellent but this poor customer service was very discouraging.
  3. No I have two charges. One for the cruise itself and then a couple of weeks later I purchased the show tickets and have a separate receipt for that. I will begin the cc dispute for the shows. Terrible customer service to end what otherwise was a very nice cruise. Chances of me recommending MSC to others, not likely anymore because of this.
  4. It's been over 6 weeks since the cruise and I still have not received a refund. This makes no sense. I paid for two shows, MSC canceled the shows due to techincal difficulties and does not refund those who purchased. Reading in one of the facebook groups this seems to be happening to others. Very disssapointed with MSC right now.
  5. Well they owe me $48. Two shows at $12 each for my wife and I. So I have not received a reply to my email from last week so today I decided to call the customer service number. Spoke to a representative who said she did not know how to handle this and would need to speak with her manager. She put me on hold and returned about 10 minutes later advising her manager was in a meeting and she would call me back as soon as she got out of the meeting. Well I never did get a call back and customer service hours are now closed for the day.
  6. Maybe your TA can assist you? We booked direct and will have to work this out on our own. This was our first MSC cruise and we had read some negative things before going so perhaps our expectations were lower but we really enjoyed the cruise. We did select the offer that included the drinks / wifi package so we were lucky to have have that and did take good advantage of it on the ship and Ocean Cay. We did go to two of the three shows in the main theatre but decided to skip it on the last night, while the shows were good, they were similar, just different music themes and lacked variety. Only one incident that really rubbed us the wrong way and it was not staff, rather a Yacht Club passenger who took over the full elevator we were on. I know it is a YC perk but she laughed that she could do it and the privilege she had. She was very arrogant in her approach to everyone on the elevator.
  7. I was on the same cruise as you. We also prepurchased the two shows. When they were cancelled we went to guest services to see how refunds would be handled and were advised like you that because we prepurchased we would have to email customer service after the cruise. They would not refund to our onboard account, only those who purchased on the ship could get this refund. I emailed customer service with all the information required and have not heard anything back, even a message saying that refund is in progress. A bit disappointing as we had a wonderful cruise. Food was good, staff were friendly ..... but this has been poorly handled.
  8. Keep us informed. My wife and I booked a cruise of Meraviglia next month and we are hoping things change for the better by then.
  9. Oh no .... we are booked on the Meraviglia early next month. I hope things will be sorted out by then. This will be our first MSC cruise and hopefully not our last.
  10. Same as above for us. Booked both shows. $15 CDN each for us which is about $12US
  11. Can the vaccine doses be mixed? I currently have one of Pfizer, Moderna, and Oxford/AstraZeneca.
  12. I emailed MCS Canada about three days ago and they haven't replied yet. They are probably working on my reply before they update the website. 😉 LOL
