  1. Mr. Sanchos is excellent! You cannot book via the cruise line. A great all inclusive beach resort- good food-great service. We go anytime in Cozumel.
  2. Sailed on the Adventure once out of Bayonne- yes IMO was Meh- Much prefer the Oasis class. Glad the Oasis is coming to Bayonne! Will sail her in August. The adventure is an Oasis wannabe- Found it fair.
  3. Having sailed on both, I vote for the Freedom over the Quantum. We didn't like the Quantum. The layout wasn't great and we found the service, amenities on the Freedom much better. Only went on Quantum once and Freedom class multiple times. Overall the Oasis class our favorite- second best Freedom . Quantum not even on the list-
  4. Just a month ago- She should ask! Our butler was Ricki.
  5. Honestly, it truly depends upon cost- we book the unlimited dining package with cruise credit- and I believe the cost of moving from a celebrity suite to a Reflection suite is significant. So important to consider the cost of perks vs. the cost of the suite and your budget #1- We just had a Royal Suite on the Equinox and the suite was wonderful! We even got beautiful bathrobes with our initials to keep. An outside whirlpool , bath and a half- etc. And bottles of expensive burbon and champagne to bring home! Unlimited everything! Including laundry and dry cleaning! Of course not shore X's, or shop /spa items! A real treat- but probably never again! A bucket list item for a special anniversary.
  6. Having sailed multiple times on celebrity, royal and princess, I must say we really enjoyed the Edge. Pool scene was great- not like a carnival cruise. Service also excellent. While we were in a sky suite, we did try the regular restaurants which were excellent- take the my time dining so you can try all of them. It is like dining in a specialty restaurant everyday. We always book specialty restaurants prior to the cruise- enjoyed le petite chef, the steak house, and the Italian restaurant- didn't enjoy Eden- didn't dine in the others either. Yes they had live music. Some people didn't like the high end shops- but we did- loved looking in Tiffany and the others. No $10 tee shirts nor magnets- buy inexpensive items at the ports. We have booked the Edge again for March 2020. I think you will enjoy the experience. So many new and improved venues.
  7. What is great about that is that you bring the beverages into your stateroom, which is very close- and enjoy the wine/beer on your balcony-or in your suite- if you want to.
  8. Correct. However you are next to the Suite lounge and have all day access to bottled water, soda and I believe wine by the glass. At cocktail hour (I believe 5-8) you get free alcoholic beverages.
  9. Actually, the Celebrity suite has two rooms. A living room- with a huge sectional, dressing table and closet- and a full bedroom with a large walk in closet. In addition, you can access the bathroom through the bedroom and livingroom. We rotate, depending upon our budget and the cost. I do like Sky Suites, as they are a big room. Not crazy about the S1 as the polls in the cabin could be a hazard walking In the dark to the bathroom and aft location balcony gets sooty and full sun too hot. Also to respond to another poster- if you move up, you keep your existing benefits . You do not get additional captains club points. You also get the same benefits allocated to your new level. For example from a balcony to a suite- you have access to the retreat lounge, deck and priority boarding/disembarking etc.
  10. IMO 1/2 bath so much more valuable. We had a whirlpool on the Equinox and adequate lounging area on the Equinox on the balcony. The master bath was also extremely big.
  11. We really enjoy the Summit and typically sail in a sky or celebrity suite. Does the Royal suite have a bath and a half as it does on the S class ships? Enjoy your cruise-
  12. The advantage of the Celebrity suite is location. The SIgnature suites are on the top of the ship and could experience movement- The Celebrity suites are centrally located. However the signature suites have an extra high ceiling and are in a private corridor. That is on the Reflection- not sure about other ships that have added them on. Both are great. Enjoy your cruise.
  13. We booked the package- and do even if in a suite- we definately prefer dining in the specialty restaurants- Enjoy
  14. Didn't even realize that the suite deck didn't have any bathrooms. Walked up looked around and left- My DH and I also cannot and will not tolerate direct sun. He also had skin CA and we always sit and enjoy the shade. I think that the deck was so poorly designed, that while the cruise ship is sailing- it should be updated to include a pool, hot tub and umbrellas- A bar would also be appreciated. Why wait for another dry dock? It will turn off suite guests.
  15. Our Crown loft suite was oceanview facing- closer to the middle of the crown loft suites on the Harmony-picked the same location for our Oasis cruise in 2021. Very quiet- beautiful oceanview- not far from the coastal kitchen and suite lounge- loved the location. The doors to the crown loft suites wasn't locked most of the time.
  16. Actually after 30 celebrity cruises, 3 on the equinox- I must agree with you- even our Suite butler was overwhelmed and we didn't get the same service as we were used to- Michaels club was previously so much better- Better service from the staff- Hopefully, the next time we are on the Equinox, the retreat sun deck will be greatly improved also. That was a big disappointment after sailing on the Edge and accessing the edge suite deck-
  17. IMO since you are spending so much for an S3- not that much more for an S2. So much better- less noise- better view then having railings blocking your view- We did sail on the Edge last New Years and will again in March - S1 New Years- S2 March. But that is just my opinion- enjoy your cruise.
  18. That is pretty sad to hear! I would have gone to report them to the customer service manager. People should just have a little respect for themselves and others! You can have a great time without being obnoxious.
  19. Cannot believe those people weren't reported and put in "cruise ship" prison and dropped off at the next stop. Smoking isn't permitted in hot tubs. Not even sure if allowed on a cruise ship.
  20. Yes, I do recall one has a chair elevator- Scheduled to sail on the Harmony again in January, but due to a very expensive 2020 coming up- didn't book one- Will try to bid if the price isn't crazy for a CLS. But it is so much better the one oversized cabin. When we were in a grand suite- on the allure, I kept on walking into the oversized coffee table in the living room -ish area. If I ever get one again, will ask the butler to remove it.
  21. You cannot imagine the wonderful experience it is to have the crown loft suite! The view to die for- the steps aren't steep and well worth the walk to view the two story sea view, storage other amenities-we were also very close to the suite lounge and restaurant- we like to have the ocean side view vs the ship aft view crown loft suite. The two bathrooms are worth walking up a flight of stairs for- do not understand why the owners suite sometimes costs more. Obviously, if you are handicapped and cannot walk up stairs the crown loft suite will not work. But if you aren't you will have a wonderful experience! We have had owners and grandsuites on many Royal ships- but absolutely nothing compares to the Crown loft- IMO
  22. A good decision. IMO well worth it- We enjoy premium alcohol and bottled water and for that worth it!
  23. You can expect more children on Holiday sailings- but we never had a problem with them. We stay primarily in the adult areas- so not a problem. Of course you find a few wild kids pushing every button on the elevator or running in the hallways- but this can happen any cruise when a wild group of unsupervised kids gets together. Also, less kids on a 12 day sailing and less on Celebrity in general. Enjoy your cruise.
  24. Having sailed in all stateroom categories, except inside- I am not a fan of AQ. Many of the cabins are poorly located. Under the gym, whirlpools etc. So if you truly want to try AQ, check the deck above your cabin carefully. Try to be under the hair salon or a massage treatment room. Avoid the gym and busy pool areas. We didn't love Blu. It gets tired as for the past few years, it is the same old same old- no menu changes and the tables for two are too close. However many like the feel of restaurant dining vs. Catering hall style dining. I prefer a well located balcony cabin, midship with cabins above and below and the money saved dine nightly in speciality restaurants. However if the price is the same and you want captain club points- you get more with CC and AQ then regular balcony. Enjoy your cruise
