  1. We certainly need a sad face for your post shark b8! 😪 So sorry that you are missing the experiences that you were so looking forward to. Hope that you and the Mrs are much better soon. Bummer......
  2. I know there will be many photos of Sydney today so I'll not duplicate any of those - I think anyway. We've been there several times, but this is one of my favorite pictures taken from the Taronga Zoo.
  3. Hopefully, there will be no twerking poolside to accompany the thong! 🙈
  4. We have attended a midnight mass on a HAL ship. I assume if it says Mass, that is what it will be as there are priests on most all HAL cruises. There may also be an interdenominational service as I've seen them frequently listed also, but not necessarily for Christmas Eve.
  5. And I was supposed to be back in Tallin this fall on the Rotterdam, but unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute. I could have checked up on our bars! 😁
  6. Having done this twice, it was limited to 400. They do still do it, at least this year, but as part of the Grand South America, I think it is called. Loved it at 24 days and both included South Georgia which is amazing!
  7. As a cruiser on both lines, I know that their websites and phone apps are virtually clones of one another, so since both are so glitchy anyway, it seems anything might happen!!
  8. Hope you bought some future cruise deposits while on board recently! 😉 What a great itinerary. Enjoy and good luck with the insurance.......🤞
  9. When we did this, first no one in the Square had a clue what we were talking about which surprised us since we had read this was such a simple request that they were accustomed to receiving. Then, it took many days and trips to the Square until it occurred. Then, it was not applied to credit card at end of cruise and we had to wait several months for the refund. Next time, we will request cash at end of cruise for sure.
  10. Hope you enjoy this evening's activities! Love it.....
  11. Regarding the Zuiderdam, I saw this post a couple of days ago. I had it in a sent e-mail to friends who are also in the region with those ports on their Azamara itinerary. They are due in Aqaba on the 3rd and Sharm El Sheikh on the 4th. The last I heard from them, those ports had not been cancelled, but still possible. They are in Safaga Egypt today and tomorrowl We are on the Zuiderdam on the Grand Africa cruise and our ports of Aqaba, Jordan and Sharm el Shiekh, Egypt were just canceled because of the unrest in this part of the world. They were able to add an extra day in the Seychelles and a new port in Oman to make up for it. The cruise has been wonderful so far!
  12. Yes, she has an amazing voice! Was her fiance' with her? He joined her in a song or two on our voyage.
  13. Thanks. Certainly doesn't read like a prior HAL captain! 🙂
  14. Bruce, I'm just curious who your captain is. I ask because we've done five Seabourn cruises and more HAL than I can count. But, on four of our five SB cruises, our captains were previous or "on loan" HAL captains. We did have the same one twice. The only one we remembered or had cruised with was Tim Roberts though. Glad you are enjoying yourself.............
  15. After they restarted after pandemic shut down, they did not have these for a while unfortunately. I enjoy the variety of flavors. Also, about the soaps, those also went away after restart, but I understand they started making a comeback recently. They do have a new president who has really been out on the ships talking with passengers and trying to really get things back. She seems to be doing a nice job of it from what I am reading lately. Easy to get spoiled rather quickly on SB unfortunately........
  16. Will keep my eyes open for this one. Love the Provence rose' type though. Thanks for the info.
  17. Yes, we do order special requests. However, I'm just hoping to find an alternative to the provided NA wines they have. And, those I've tried at home and elsewhere have not proven to be much better, all tasting like grape juice. Just hoping................there must be something out there! 😉
  18. Also, was there any discussion of adding/changing the selection of NA wines which they offer?
  19. Thanks for the info and nice to hear they are listening! I just used the Elderflower Tonic a few weeks ago and find it a nice break from the Indian Tonic I normally use. I won't be onboard for about six months so hopefully, they'll have this all ironed out by then.
  20. If it's alright to mention tour companies, I'd like to mention Glacier Wind as a possibility. We've used them twice in the past and they are lovely local people. They have changed to a bit larger boats since we used them, but if available and operating at the hours you are there, I think you would have a great time with them.
  21. Thanks for the warning about the sweetness. I find most mocktails way too sweet for me and couldn't tell from the menu how sweet they might be. Too bad in the one with elderflower syrup and Fever Tree tonic that they don't just use the Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic instead of syrup.
  22. Last time we were on they had several types of Fre' which I found very sweet. I do see in the new Zero list that they have a Joyus NA Rose as one of the ingredients, so perhaps they have expanded the selections (I hope).
  23. Mister and Mrs WhateverDam ship you were on. It was an attempt at getting people to interact......
