As a fellow tequila drinker, and lover of coffee, suggestion for you. Have you tried Patron XO Cafe? It's coffee flavored tequila. I found it on a cruise actually. I like to mix it with tequila cream or drink it on the rocks.

    Now that sounds good!

As I mentioned in the intro, I’ve been here once before about five years ago. I didn’t spend enough time here. I was rushing through before they closed. Plus they’ve added a new building since I was last here.

This is one of the top museums in the country. I argue that it’s cheaper and better than many of the excursions you will take on your cruise. I think everyone should plan a cruise out of New Orleans. Get a great price on one of these convention center hotels right by Fulton parking garage. Park at Fulton. Visit the WWII museum the day before your cruise. Use the included Fulton shuttle to and from the terminal.

As for the extras at the museum...I did watch the movie “Beyond All Boundries” narrated by Tom Hanks. It was excellent. I did do the submarine experience. It was less than excellent. I recommend “Beyond Borders.” I don’t recommend the submarine unless you have a kid that really wants to do it.

I am following your review to get some ideas about things to see, etc. in New Orleans (as recommended by sid_9169).  I have added the World War II Museum to my list of things to see.  Thanks for all the pictures!

I don’t see surf and turf on the menu posted...am I missing that or is that a special?

I agree.  On the Bliss this past April, there was no lobster on the menu.  The fish I ordered had no taste and my boyfriend's salad had a bug it.  It was a very bad experience.  They did remove the up charge, but it was still a waste of one of our dining choices.

  4. I have purchased the Social Media plan for my upcoming cruise on the Bliss.  I also have 30 minutes of WiFi as a Platinum benefit which I would like to use at the end of my cruise to download boarding passes.  Are there separate accesses for both of them, or will I be using up my 30 minutes once I make a post on Facebook?

  5. Sid, you have made my Sunday morning so enjoyable!  I thoroughly enjoyed your Bliss review and happened across your Breakaway review this morning.  Your reviews are amazing!!  You should write a book and include all your cruising "experiences."  I hope you enjoyed your Breakaway cruise and had a safe trip home.  I am looking forward to your continuing coverage of your cruise.

Our show and dining reservation window opens tomorrow, does anyone know what time it actually opens?

It will open at midnight (Eastern Time).  For my cruise, instead of 120 days out, it was more like 105 days out!!!

Heads up! The 20% off spa sale is now open until 2/14.

just got the thermal suite for 2 for $175 for the week we sail on Breeze!

Loved it on our Horizon sailing last summer, looking forward

to dropping the LO off at Camp Ocean, and heading to the thermal suite again!

Thanks for the info.  I had booked the spa pass for couples some time ago for $219.  Today I cancelled that reservation and repurchased the same spa pass for $175.20!  Thanks again.

Already have a couples massage booked and paid for our cruise in March. Anyone know if I could get this applied to that? Or is it just tough luck?

    Hi all

I will taking my first cruise on NCL in March.  I have booked by shore excursions and my dining. I went on the website to try to find which nights I was dining where - like a calendar for each day showing excursion, dining time/place but I was unable to find it.

Can anyone direct me where on the website I would find it when I sign in?

    thanks for any help

After you sign in and access My NCL, go to "View Reservation," then "Summary" which takes you to "Vacation Summary."  Towards the bottom of that page, there is a bar that states "Print Booked Items" which should give you a summary of your excursions, dining reservations and entertainment booked.

Sailing on Breakaway, I tried to making dining reservations, but the only date available to select is the first day of the cruise.  Reservations opened today.  Any suggestions as to what the problem is.

I had the same problem for our Bliss cruise.  I called Customer Service, but they could only see the first two days of the cruise as well.  This is an on-going problem.  Apparently NCL needs a computer programmer
