Hi all. So the cabins that are under the Oceanview at the stern. . .do you hear noise from above, e.g. chairs being moved?

Feb 2022 on Reflection if you won a trivia game you were given little papers that had "points" on them, and at the end of the cruise, you presented the # you had and got little things like cards, glasses case, hat; don't recall what else, according to the # of points you had accumulated. Oh, wait, I won a lanyard at a name that tune--anyone who was first to name the artist of the song got one. But that was 2022.
FFWD to February 2023 on Beyond. Nothing. "Applause" and the game host thought that was funny.
It is fun to win little logo items, and really is free advertising for the line. Not sure what lines are still giving prizes at this point.

Not sure if this will work, I am not very tech savvy but there is a video of one on deck 7 and one on deck 9 /www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Carnival-Venezia&deck=9
Thanks; had not seen deck 7 video before!

bumping to top.
Would someone please post pics of an aft wrap (corner) balcony cabin on VENEZIA.

Coco Cay has come a long way from the first time I was there in 2019. I'd happily do a stop there any time.

and being from Nova Scotia I agree.. The ship isn't serving lobster . It is southern crayfish which is not even in the lobster family!!
Had the BEST and freshest lobster in NS at Hall's Harbor a few years back! I watched the boat come in, dump the lobsters into a tank, and chose the one I wanted. It was wonderful.

I pretty much like all of them. Cant' say we've had a bad cruise yet.
Tried out Virgin Voyages late 2022 (fabulous!), and going on MSC out of NYC this year as well to see what they're like; already got my status match set up.
Best to try them out more than once to see which you prefer. I'm at the point where the loyalty perks do weigh in a little bit (thank you Royal/Celebrity) for next cruise planning. . . and Carnival's platinum perks don't have any weight for it to tilt the scale. I've heard they are in the process of revamping, but I doubt there will be huge improvements.

Agreed, takes the fun out of it. Should be held in a wifi free area, and should swap for grading.
Used to swap papers on Royal Caribbean. . . not anymore though.
I agree it was more fun when you didn't have internet help!

And no children on board. And no nickel-and-diming??? From the recent Resilient Lady Live thread I followed there seems to be a lively party vibe on board. I did not get a sense of even a whisper of an elevated or premium experience. Also, so far, their itineraries are less than inspiring. But I need to research the line further. As interest continues to slowly ramp up I get a sense that Virgin's ships may not be sailing at full capacity which would be a plus. Did the ship feel as spacious as Celebrity's S-class ships?
I was on Scarlet Lady in October 2022 at half-capacity. That didn't feel crowded but I don't know if full capacity would. Pool area isn't large but there are other great public spaces. And yes, no kids. No pushing photo packages, bingo, etc. No announcements! I wanted to see what it was like and am glad I tried it out. I'll go again sometime, and yes, I agree that they need better itineraries.

Virgin ships are very nice! Loved the hammock on the balcony; all food is included in the cruise prices, plus wifi. Would go on their ships again tomorrow. Major difference is no big production shows.

Not following what you're saying - what do you mean by "open aft wrap" and what food are you looking to put something in?

I stated that maybe the bathroom is on that wall, I have no idea if that is the case, hoping for the best, might change to deck 7
ah, ok. I thought you had some secret intel'! I checked last night if deck 7 was open on my 2023 cruise and it isn't. Only deck 6, and I think that's too close to the public deck below. I guess I'll see how it goes.

I have aft wrap on venezia booked on deck 8, are those stairs crew stairs only and has anyone stayed in that cabin, I am thinking there might be noise from the door closing.
I like that the person on the ship now took a pic for you. Honestly, I'll say that after that pic, I went and checked if deck 7 had open aft wraps for my upcoming cruise, and they're gone. We are thinking of bringing something we can put in that door to soften the sound when it closes!
Also, how do you know the bathroom is right there? I haven't seen pics of these cabins yet.

wow, thanks so much for that, exactly what I was looking for, you are the best🤩 I'm thinking it maybe opens in which would probably be ok although it might bang against the wall, maybe the bathroom is on the other side so shouldn't be a problem. Thanks again, have a blessed evening.
When are you going? Whichever of us goes first can report back! I hope the door doesn't slam--especially early in the morning.

Thanks, I see that on the deck plan for 7 but it doesn't show on 8.
yikes; you're right. I was looking at the doorway to the L shaped cabin. Hopefully OP can answer this for us.

Thank you for all the pics, can't wait to sail this ship.
I know this is a huge ask but if you happen to be at the very aft of deck 8, I would love to see a pic of the crew door to the stairway in relationship to the cabin door for 8484, corner aft wrap, I have that cabin booked but I would change if it looks like I will be hearing the door bang against our cabin.
Have a wonderful cruise, thanks for taking us along.
Hi; I'm with you on not wanting to hear the crew door (it has happened -- can't remember the ship but it was deck 7). The latest (now updated) deck plans show the stairway door away from the corner aft wrap door and next to the tunnel-like cabin on the side.

Thanks for this review.
Were your card key thingies given in the terminal or are they outside your cabin doors?
Good to know about printed docs; I haven't printed them out in years (even pre-covid!)

Thanks for this thread. I asked TA to check price on our SV and got it for about $200 less. A little less OBC but so what. I'll check one more time before final is due end of the month!

ok thx. I suppose it'll just be the fanny pack and maybe pin for the subsequent cruises.

We have a stop in Miami and plan to Uber to the beach and then Bayside for a mojito afterward.
Personally, I would not want a cabin under any public deck.

Just curious; my ages-old Carnival Tervis tumbler just bit the dust. . .
TIA 🙂
Are Ultra Deluxe Veranda Stateroom the largest cabins?

This cabin is listed on my MoveUp offer and it says aft of ship. I was suspicious when I saw what looked like a big window which must be facing forward. I wonder what happens when someone wins the bid expecting an aft view!
