Diamond+ stateroom upgrade

What a pity that they shut the GTY out, I guess It explains whyi dont get upgraded, though I have allways been assigned a cabin immediately, great way to reward...
2. the prices are dynamic and can change VERY fast :) as for the GTY they can change them at any time before sailing, though I have never had that happen and allmost allways sail in GTY cabins :) as for the rest, with a GTY cabin you might have a cabin with a obstructed view next to elevator under a nightclub etc etc you do not get to pick the location so you get a cheaper price instead, I havent been dissappointed yet :) when traveling with others it can suck if one cabin is aft and one forward :) as for the Vision she is indeed my favortie ship in the fleet :)
3. Shell get obc if she books it onboard....

New bucket of beer deal?

:) so is this only on cruises leaving stateside or also mediterranean cruises? Ie the splendour ots?
5. Or try the late departure program and for 30$ or so you can stay onboard till upto 90 mins before the next cruise departs :)
6. It means someone either a travel agent you or royal is accessing your cruise information for whatever reason... for instance if I am logged into my cruises then the royal agent cannot get into it at the same time :)
7. The last few ships i have been on have done away with the non smoking nights as it really hurt their revenue... Go figure i liked it but i guess more people did not... Then again i dont visit the casino anymore due to the 3% charge my little protest :D

No More Babysitting?
So when you do "another sort" of vacation do you take a babysitter with you or do you arrange your vacation activities so you can take care of your own children? I'm just trying to figure out what you do differently on land based vacations? Or do hotels now have babysitting services available?
oh and just to clarify, we use this service on the ships for 2-3 hours at a time about 2-3 nights out of a 7 night cruise so its not like were not taking care of our own children, but for those of you WHO HAVE NOT tried crusing ALONE with 3 kids try it some time and see if 2-3 hrs of alone time would feel nice... ;) to each their own but also everyone makes their own decisions on what cruiseline to use based on their needs, wants and desires corresponding with the different lines offered services :)

Or do hotels now have babysitting services available?
If we go for a week or two like on cruises we book with full service resorts that offer qualified babysitting service upon request. If we go on shorter vacation then we just deal with it :), we just do like to also spend some alone time when the kids are sleeping and on a ship thats kind of hard to do without baby sitting... I HONESTLY dont understand their logic in stopping this service as it DOES bring money to royal, if we go to spa, or bar or to casino or whatever its money in their pocket.. plus the 0-3 year olds pay the same price as adults so why dont they deserve service... oh well soon wont be a issue for us but still will be for many :) my Son aged 3 is a diamond member all on his own... thats how many cruises royal would have missed out on had they not had this service.... somethng to think about ;)

No More Babysitting?

For many it is a requierment that there be such an option... I for instance travel with three small children aged 1-6 so if there is no baby sitting available at all during the cruise I will not go, I will do another sort of vacation, now that equals to alot of missed revenue for royal... I DO NOT have a use for 24/7 baby sitting but 1-2 hrs in the evening sure goes along way towards relaxation :) so should royal decide to cancel inroom babysitting it would simply mean we will not becruising as a family on their ships, there are alternatives. It seems funny that for paying the same fares as adults children under 3 sure dont get much in return on Royals ships anymore... :) just my one cents worth

Diamond plus question

makes sense since also have access to concierge lounge... I verified this also with the concierge for my upcming cruise and was told access would be granted with the Diamond plus on the sea pass card, same for tender priority...

DO toddler's pay full price?

This is the MAJOR reason we as a family are considering switching family cruises to (dont tell anyone) NCL :( ;( they offer 3rd and 4th pricing for kids under 17 in european cruises atleast of 99€ per person, consider that with royals 599-799€ :( sucks as I HATE even considering someone else but at those rates might have to consider it... I would LOVE to see royal try even one or two family friendly sailings where kids would be free or 99$ on a 3 and 4th... maybe a sailing that is generally not as popular???
14. have you thought of adjoining cabins? I am not so sure they will allow kids in the same cabin ALONE... this is a safety issue and I would assume there are some maritime laws or regulations prohibiting that which would make the cabinstaff uninklined to comply tip or not... they also do have 4 person cabins you know, thats what I have done with the kids :) just my 1½ cents worth :)

Upgrade fairy called DURING cruise!

Sometimes they need to make repairs of other service to a cabin and they will thus offer upgrades to people in that cabin to move them :) other then that I have never seen them upgrade during a cruise before, but sure would be nice to have it happen :) not like it costs royal anything anymore :)
