  1. We're going on a short cruise and only taking carry-on. DH's underwear will definitely being going to the 'free' laundry! 😳
  2. Weird. I got the same message when I logged in from my computer and my birthdate (day of month) was wrong. It said if anything was wrong, to contact Princess. I didn't. Instead. I logged in with my iPhone and my birthdate is correct. 🤔 However, it did state that my account is missing some information. It wasn't.
  3. Old joke and still funny! 😂 Thx for the laugh.
  4. Correct. Rate set for a particular cruise.
  5. I called my local Guardian pharmacy and made an appointment over the phone. They will provide a printout in 15-20 minutes.
  6. Reduced capacity is one of the things that gave us 'confidence' to book. We haven't had covid and are double-boosted. Princess updated their CruiseHealth FAQ June 28 and July 1. Health protocols are still strong. 👍
  7. Yeah, chocolate-covered strawberries even better. Might as well get extra anti-oxidants while we’re at it, lol!
  8. Most people I've seen don't dress up for funerals either. The world has become a a more casual place, weddings being the most dressy. Cruise ships are like Vegas... long gowns to jeans... cocktail and sun dresses to shorts... soup to nuts. People who aren't used to dressing up in the real world, often love to play dress up. It creates a special feeling. Others... not. We loved it and have all of the formal photos to prove it. Princess has loved us for it! 😉 Now we'll opt for 'very' smart casual (almost formal) and eat in the MDR.
  9. We don't get the drink package either. Lots of people don't. Wouldn't want to lose the mini bar!
  10. Sounds like a pretty good cruise overall. A friend told me there's no such thing as a bad one... she just liked some better than others! I called Princess last week. They said they were still booking at 75% capacity. Hope that's still true in Aug in the UK.
  11. Thanks. That's what I remembered, though unclear from photo above.
  12. Please remind me of how many of each (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) you get?
  13. I believe you have $400US to spend and paid £288 for it at a Princess rate of £72/$100US. Hope this makes sense. We're Canadian and pre-purchased excursions and OBC are sold in Cdn$. Princess made their own conversion when they set the prices for our sailing months ago. I use a Cdn credit card so pay whatever mark up my bank may charge for an international transaction from US to Cdn. For our August cruise, we're charged $125Cdn for $100US OBC. So, a Princess exchange rate of $1.25Cdn. It's charged to our credit card in Cdn$ and valued at $100US. At the moment, if I purchased US$ at my bank, I'd pay $1.323, so pre-paid OBC is better for me. BTW, at the end of the cruise, any balance owed should be charged in US (preferred), allowing our bank to make the only conversion, not Princess at an inflated rate. There's been a box to tick off at check-in at the port indicating the currency you want to use to pay your balance. Not wanting to risk being charged in Cdn$ in error (because I've registered a Cdn credit card), I visit the desk on the last afternoon to ensure that I'll be charged in US$. Have a wonderful cruise!
  14. I wonder if it's slower because more passengers buy Princess Plus (Standard works better for us) and get it for 'free'. I'd think that lots of people logged in at the same time would slow it down. Sounds like a 'be careful what you wish for' scenario (included and unlimited). Maybe if more people logged out when actually not using the internet, the speed would improve for others. While unhappy we're losing free internet (Elite, big bummer Princess!), 1/2 price is better than no discount and it was a pain watching our minutes evaporate. Focussing on a glass half full... however, included and unlimited of 'nothing' is 'nothing'. I will buy it in hopes that I can access it at least some of the time and my husband can easily pass.
  15. Nothing under 'Excursions Reservations', arrival day.
  16. Sailed on Majestic Down Under in 2020. Deck plans are slightly different on Enchanted. Doing a 7-day cruise in August. From your personal experience on Enchanted: Can mocktails that aren't on the non-alcoholic menu be made at any bar? Are milkshakes available at Swirls Ice Cream Bar... or only smoothies... and where can you get them? Are mocktails available through room service if you have the soda package? Can anyone use the Retreat pool? Or only Sanctuary guests? Can the Enclave be booked for any half-day and at what cost? Can you book only half-days on the 'Day of', or in advance on Day 1? Are sea days exclusive to guests buying longer passes? Welcome any tips re: Enchanted!
  17. I was hoping that internet might be better on a newer ship but apparently it's all about the provider and 'location, location, location'! However, maybe the Medallion works better than when it was an add-on.
  18. How is it compared to sailing on the older ships in the same part of the world?
  19. We also use a Scotiabank debit card and use one of Scotiabank's Global Alliance bank ATMs (country specific) for cash withdrawals.
  20. True, the rate you'll be charged on your balance on check-out will be the going rate. I ensure any balance on my account is charged in US$ and let my bank do the conversion. At least I know the exchange rate paid for the cruise itself. Only if it's worth it to you, buying OBC in advance does lock in the rate.
  21. I'm used to the exchange rate for onboard charges being set far in advance for each cruise. The rate was identifiable by what you were charged for the cruise... ending in .75 or whatever. I don't recall the set rates so was asking to be reminded. I only know the Canadian price I paid. I've now asked and answered my own question. Looked at what it would cost to buy $100 US OBC. $125 Cdn. So, anything bought on our cruise should be charged at an exchange rate of $1.25Cdn/$1US. Now I'll know what I'm actually paying in Cdn$ for anything purchased onboard. Thx for replying.
  22. What's the onboard exchange rate set for a cruise where the price ends in .75? Booked in June 2022 for August 2022.
