  1. After reading so many people having problems with refunds, we wondered if and when we would get one after getting our email saying they had cancelled our Feb. cruise. So sad, we really wanted to go. Absolutely amazed when we saw all our funds were returned 6 days later. Certainly hope the rest of you have this kind of service. There is no doubt we will be booking again as soon as we can.
  2. My husband and I and a female teacher friend did the Hawaiian Islands on Pride of America in an inside cabin. That was just one week, so not as long, but we were fine with it. My husband always got up earlier and brought back goodies for us to have for breakfast. We were never in our room during the day. Only slept there late at night as we attended everything. Could never have done this trip without doing it this way. Well worth it.
  3. What a small world Seamstress. We spent a year living in Guelph, Ontario 1990 because of my husband's work. We loved learning all we could about Eastern Canada while we were there and did a lot of camping when we could. My great grandparents had actually lived there and my grandparents were married there so we got to see where they lived. I'm glad you like Oregon. We absolutely love it. Let's hope we all get to do this trip on the Star.
  4. I'm with you. We have a wonderful aft balcony and air included. Really hope this will be doable. We go in Feb., and are really hoping we will know before final payment is due if it is going to happen. Normally I would have paid for trip by now and all the excursions, but this year I will put it off til the last minute.
  5. We are still planning our Feb. cruise in South America. Will decide for sure in Oct. Will definitely cruise again as long as we feel safe. Love cruising.
  6. We had the two bedroom family suite on the Pearl. It was heavenly. We took advantage of having breakfasts brought to us every morning by our terrific butler. We had wonderful lunches with a great view in the specialty restaurant. Our grandson would call the butler when he wanted a DVD. We always came back to wonderful snacks in the afternoon. Really spoiled us. It's going to be hard not to be in a suite on this next cruise, but we wanted to do an Aft Balcony.
  7. We had this for the first time on our trip to Alaska last summer. So wonderful. We got to the ship with our two grandchildren and were immediately taken to the special lounge where we checked in. Had all kinds of snacks and drinks which the kiddos loved. Our concierge came by and introduced himself and let us know that he was available any time for questions and help. We always got notes in our suite about when and where we would tender from (we were not in the Haven, but we were in a family suite). With disembarking they gave us special tags to put on our luggage and we were some of the first ones off the ship. Again, all information was given to us in advance. Can't wait for our next cruise to use all that again.
  8. I try to book everything I can as soon as they are offered to book. Have done this on every cruise. That way we get exactly what we want when we want it. We prefer earlier dining and those slots go fast.
  9. We were on NCL and we started in Venice, did the Greek Isles and then back to Venice. Then we went to Spain and Portugal on our way back to NY on the TA. Got everything in. Loved both places.
