  1. We were supposed to sail on March 28th on Symphony of the Seas, but called and canceled it even before RC canceled the cruises. I also got the email saying that we'd receive an FCC for 125% the total cost. I haven't ever received an FCC before or had to cancel a cruise. I am wondering how I will receive the FCC - is this something that's mailed physically to my address, emailed, or will it show up in my RC online account? Or is it something we just have to call and use because they'll have it on file? We cancelled our cruise a week and a half ago and I still haven't act
  2. Thank you! I would love to snorkel there. I looked up the Roatan Eco Tour website and it looks like you go to two snorkel sites on the tour. Sounds perfect. I think I'm going to book that one 🙂
  3. Swimming with dolphins is super cruel. I highly recommend that you don't support it. https://justinpluslauren.com/swimming-the-dolphins-the-dark-truth/
  4. Thank you so much for the recommendation for The Native Choice! Their Mayan ruin tours look fabulous and I think we will book one for our upcoming cruise.
  5. And as an answer to my own question after doing a little searching... Has anyone booked a tour with Roatan Eco Tours before? http://roatanecotour.com/
  6. I'm sailing with Royal Caribbean at the end of March and we're stopping in Roatan. I'm looking for a shore excursion (booked independently of the ship or through the ship, doesn't matter to me) that DOES NOT include a sloth sanctuary. I was shocked that these "sanctuaries" allow people to hold sloths, which is a form of animal cruelty. Human interactions in this way is extremely stressful to the animals and lowers their life spans. Even though they seem to be called "sanctuaries", if they allow people to hug or hold the animals, it couldn't be farther from being an actual sanctuary and not jus
  7. Never heard of this! Maybe someone else knows the answer.
  8. I wish I knew the answer to that question! And I am also going to have to Google what Pickleball is! 😂😂 I wasn't looking out for it. So sorry!
  9. I think we paid for everything in cash or credit, not ship cards. I might be mistaken, but I think that the port isn't closely affiliated with the cruise ship the same way that the private island/resorts are (ie. Princess Cays). Have fun kayaking! 🙂
  10. Fantastic! I'd love to sail on Koningsdam, too. Hope you have a wonderful cruise! The pool at the back of the ship is a really nice spot, too!
  11. I didn't know you could do a 1 day cruise! There are a couple of perks but it would be a huge tease for me and I would be sad to leave so soon. At the same time, could make for a fun couple of days! Thanks for sharing!
  12. Incredible! It's always fun to check out a new cruise line to compare. It was my first on HAL as well and we loved it! Have a fun cruise!
  13. Ah, afternoon tea! I saw it was offered on the Nieuw Statendam when I was cruising but I always forgot to go. I'll have to go on my next cruise!
  14. YAY! You are gonna love it! The ship is really beautifully designed and the food is also delicious!
