  1. No worries... no two people agree 100%. And that was just my opinion. But I was mainly comparing vs other mass cruise lines. We love cruises! That’s why we’ve been on 13. And we had a blast on this cruise. And really reviews by nature are critical. 😎 👍
  2. 11:15 on embarkation day. And everyone is right on... I think the B2B people got it all.
  3. Even though we had a fun cruise, we won't be sailing on the Regal/Royal class anymore. This saddens me because I was hoping that everything was so much better on these ships that the other class. To us, there were very little differences. Even the main atrium area I thought was going to be huge and more grandiose. But it wasn't.
  4. Hey guys. No cabana (they were sold out immediately too). I just tipped an attendant heavily to make something happen in the Sanctuary! There were angry cruisers griping out the attendants when sold out, so I took another approach and got some help. I will say that the tipping was probably not 100% necessary, as they refused it many times when I offered it. What they appreciated was someone talking and reasoning with them politely and using courtesy instead of demanding to speak with the manager, etc. Honey is better than vinegar in negotiation. The people and attendants were great! It was my choice to tip. So why was I making that a "Con"? Because I didn't think at 11:15 AM they would be sold out. The Sanctuary was the main reason I sailed on this ship! I have no idea why they will not let people reserve the Sanctuary online. Also, I did have to come back later that day (around 5:00) to see if they had any cancellations etc. It's not like they just were lying or something.
  5. Just returned last week from our Eastern Caribbean voyage on the Regal. We were in a Club Class mini-suite on the Baja deck. What we liked: Nice mini suite layout. Very functional. Plenty of storage. Food was good, not great. Very good at times. But good enough. Dining room service was better than the specialty restaurants. We ate at both, and the waiter was doing everything for every table. Needed help. Lots of fun! Entertainment was great, and something is always going on until late. Embarkation was a snap with the medallions Disembarkation was a snap (Club Class). Off the ship and in a taxi by 7:30 Bed was comfy with nice sheets, pillows, etc. Could have been better: Not luxury. If you are looking for luxury, up the money and go on another line. At times crowded. Horizon Court was way too busy, no seats, etc Pool chairs hard to come by for even 2 We paid the $$ and got the Sanctuary for the week. Best move ever. However, we were in the line to reserve 1st day at 11:15. They sold out!!! What the?!?! I had to tip a girl VERY nicely to get the weekly rental. So we paid around $650-700 for the Sanctuary. Blah! Theater not grandiose and not as pretty as older ships. In fact, not pretty at all in our opinion. Crowded and cramped. Speciality dining was pretty good, not excellent. This is little, but our bath towels and pool towels are thin and small. And they were stingy on the towels for the bathroom. Showers had no water pressure. Worst ever that we’ve had on any cruise. Did not enjoy Princess Cays. Way too crowded, no chairs available etc. and they use those clam shell chairs. No umbrellas. So if you’re on the 2nd or 14th row, you cannot see the water. They have a serious elevator issue. Slow, small, and crowded. Worst we’ve ever had on a cruise. They had a lot of elevators, but it always seemed like 3-4 weren’t moving for some reason. When you have this many people, you need to be able to move them quickly!
  6. Are nice jeans acceptable these days on the non formal nights? Or is it slacks only?
  7. How many ships were in port on that day?
  8. There are umbrellas at most beaches. I wonder why the wind can carry them away here.
  9. Does anyone know if you can rent chairs and umbrellas at Magen’s Bay? In all the pictures, I don’t see any.
  10. Divi Little Bay Resort looks amazing!
  11. I actually asked called Princess with some questions, and I threw in this one about enhanced. She just described a normal turndown. I said what was the enhanced part, and she said it’s just more special?? Huh?? Haha. I dropped it. She didn’t know either. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  12. How? By binoculars, security cameras, or both? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  13. Going on the Regal in February. What are the better ports, especially due to hurricane? East: Princess Cays, St Thomas, St Martin West: Princess Cays, Falmouth Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel I am not a fan of Jamaica, and would most likely stay on the ship. So the # of ports would be the same for us either way. I guess the main question: are St Thomas and St Martin okay to visit yet? I’ve also been reading that they are having an extreme problem with seaweed. Thoughts? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  14. What are the Wine Makers dinner, and the Super Tuscan dinners? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  15. I just got off the phone with Princess with questions. Man. She knew nothing. She just kept reading long paragraphs to me info off the website. Ha! (She was nice though.). Anyway, I think people on here have more answers than the cruise line themselves. My questions. Let me know if you have the answers for Regal: 1. I asked about the Medallion status on a Regal. She could not explain when, where, or even what it is. Anyone know? What does it do and how do you get it? 2. I asked if I can sign up for Sanctuary and Retreat cabanas prior to sailing, or do we have to wait until we get on the ship. If we have to wait until on the ship, where do you go to do so? 3. When I was booking online, it asked me if my cruise was before or after April 2009 for the correct deck plan. I asked what was happening in April 2009 to the deck plans? She had no idea. Anyone here know? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  16. Any perks with alcohol mini bar, special coffee machines etc if you are staying in a suite (on the Regal)? We stayed in a suite on NCL Gem, and we had great perks like these. Thank you! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  17. Thank you! A couple more questions. What did you like most about club class? Also, does the MDR allow breakfast for 2, or do you have to sit with larger groups? And do they serve french press coffee? Thank you!
  18. If we book a Club Class Mini Suite, where can we eat breakfast (besides the buffet)? Is it in the MDR? Or can we eat at Sabatini's? This will be on Regal.
  19. We have been to Jamaica a couple of times. I will say that on one of these trips, a really bad experience. It's a long story, but involves a man just starting to walk with us and saying bizarre things, trying to sell drugs, etc. He wouldn't leave our side. Then another joined him, and I immediately tried to grab a taxi to get back to the ship. Once we got in, the man jumped in the front seat with us! The taxis and the and man were in the same game! I reached to get out and there were no handles on the doors! No way to get out and they were driving. I then started yelling at him to let me out immediately. He would not, until I gave them much money! Once he let us out, I saw a policeman and I went straight to him, told him the story, and pointed to the men. They all looked at each other and smirked. They are all in the same game of intimidation for money. Later that night on the ship, we were in one of the gift shops and the girl that was working in the shop was kind of crying while we were paying for our stuff. I said, "Are you okay?" She told us earlier that day she got off the ship and the taxi (same type of no door handles) took her out in the country and threatened her with a machete. She knew she was going to be raped and maybe killed. This was a girl employed with the ship! Jamaica = not a fan
  20. We are planning to go on an Alaskan cruise on Eurodam. Here are my questions: Does the ship ever feel crowded? Is the food on par with other cruises, or better? I am assuming there is a formal night. Do I need to bring a suit/jacket? How formal? Is the coffee good in the Lido cafeteria? Can we always sit at a table for 2 in the dining room? At breakfast too? Does their entertainment ever have choreographed dance/music shows? Or is it all like "game show" or comedian type of entertainment? I have read that the dining room is tight (space). Is this uncomfortable? What kind of clothes do you pack for a June cruise to Alaska? Is it ever warm enough to lay in the sun? Or will we always have jackets on? Thank you!
