  1. Still not able to view or book shore excursions for Silver Muse, 6 January 2026 sailing Seychelles to Cape Town. Deposit paid last November. Is this just an issue with this cruise. Anyone else on this cruise having trouble?
  2. I appreciate it’s a long way ahead, but when do shore excursions open for booking?
  3. Reading of the launch delay of Allura, I am getting nervous now about our Marina cruise due 18 May. Will it happen or will this be another refit delay? I note on the Oceania website that all suite categories are now show as waitlist.
  4. Many thanks, a taxi it is!
  5. We are on Marina in May and are very keen to spend time at the Oceanographic. Oceania has a ‘City’ excursion which includes a stop at the Oceanographic however we would prefer to do it on our own. Has anyone any knowledge as to how difficult it is to walk or taxi to Oceanographic? I guess a taxi would be best and hopefully taxis would be available at the port where Marina is docked. it doesn’t look a long distance from ship to venue - but guess it could be hot! Any comments would be appreciated.
  6. It’s been a long time since cruising on the smaller ships. Have now booked a cruise on Sirena but cannot recall if they have Baristas. I do hope so!
  7. Just love the dressing up on formal night! Always had a good turnout in the Caribbean
  8. We’ve never been disappointed with an OB. The cost saving with the OB usually off-sets any potential disadvantage - and sometimes the OB can be a real bonus!
  9. On our recent back to backs in Miami immigration formalities were undertaken very quickly by the immigration officers. Note the Wi-Fi in the immigration hall is much faster than on the ship! Time to download newspapers and emails!!
  10. Many thanks, would just like to start the cruise with a bottle of bubbly!
  11. Does Cunard allow passengers to bring their own wine on board at the start of a cruise?
  12. Thanks to you both. It’s only a short cruise ( 4 nights) so will go with CPS
  13. Just booked a quick 4 night from Southampton to Amsterdam. Advice please concerning closest car parking for Cunard.
  14. Thanks for the heads up, Techno 123. I’ll make a payment to Amex for a booked cruise. it’s been around 6 years ago or so when Amex last made this offer with Seabourn.
  15. Having sailed 15 cruises with Oceania, we have never previously made a new cruise booking while on board. Now we are thinking about a 33 day cruise in January 2024 and any discount I can get from Oceania would be much appreciated. So, when we are on our Riviera cruise this January 2023, we could make a new booking for January 2024. How does it work and what savings do we get for booking on board? We do us a travel agent and I am guessing we can have the booking transferred to them for additional benefits.
  16. The perennial question! We have often had to wait for an evening flight back to the U.K. My first idea would be to hire a car collecting it from the port and returning it to the airport. A drive around the island is easy and the Fishpot restaurant, just north of Speightstown, is the perfect place for an excellent leisurely lunch. As an alternative, the Hilton hotel offers day rooms and used to also offer day passes. With the latter you can use the hotel facilities and beach area. The hotel will store luggage and give you access to a changing room when you need to get ready for the overnight flight. Seabourn may offer a tour of Barbados in the morning dropping you off at the airport around 3pm. Still a while to hang around the airport waiting for a 9.25pm flight.
  17. More likely is early morning noise from the anchor if a tender port
  18. Thanks, Basor. I would be interested to hear from anyone with a Trieste embarkation/disembarkation recently.
  19. We are booked on the Vista in May 2023 which originally scheduled embarkation in Venice, however now switched to Trieste. How has Oceania handled the transfer from Venice to Trieste? Do we all meet at Marco Polo airport and then be shuttled to Trieste. Or are we being left to our own devises? Trieste is not very well serviced with international flights. All input would be appreciated. Thanks!
  20. Current O Life promotion does indeed include all 3 on select voyages. This could be a European promotion only?!!
  21. I’m trying to sort this out for my daughter, husband and 2 girls (6 and 8). They disembark the ship on 21 August but due to recent changes to BA flights, their 1.30 pm flight has changed to a 9.00pm flight to London. What to do for that day!! My thoughts are; hotel day room in Civitavecchia hotel day room at Rome airport Rome tour with airport drop off - although some concern about this with the 2 girls I have not been able to identify any hotels with day use. All suggestions and information would be much appreciated.
  22. I often feel as if the anti tux lobby overload this site too encourage dress down! Our last two cruises (August 2021 around Greek islands and November 2021 in Caribbean) both had a good turnout with tux and lounge suits, certainly over 50%. So, I would say dress as you feel comfortable - you cannot be overdressed, but will be noticed if you are underdressed!
  23. We have had 10 cruises with Oceania over the past 15 years but have never used O flights. However, we now have a potential problem with our Vista cruise in May next year no longer embarking at Venice, embarking in Trieste instead. My question is what O flights are being offered and where do they fly to, Venice Marco Polo airport or Trieste. If Venice, are Oceania offering transfers from Marco Polo airport. If so, I would be inclined to use O flights and transfers. Non stop flights are currently not available from the U.K. to Trieste, so I would prefer to fly to Venice.
