  1. The price dropped on two of our cruises to $87 pp. Grabbed those. The other cruises are all above $100 pp.
  2. Both of us had to change our passwords before we could get in on the laptop and app.
  3. Same problem on both of our Android phones.
  4. There are cabins in the Haven complex. These are usually more expensive than the ones outside the complex (the forward and aft suites). It looks like deck 16 on Breakaway has the cabins inside the Haven. You might also post over on the NCL board for specifics on the Breakaway Haven.
  5. We've stayed in the Haven twice, most recently on the Escape in January. Never stayed in a fulll suite on Royal, so I can't really give you a comparison. The Haven complex is accessed via your keycard. Only Haven guests have access to this area. Loyalty tier does not get you access. There are suites within the Haven complex as well as ones outside (forward and aft suites on various decks). All suites come with a butler. The Haven restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, the menus do not change during the cruise. You have your own bar, pool, hot tubs and sundeck. I believe the Breakaway has a retractable roof over the pool so you don't have to worry about inclement weather. The Haven concierge can handle entertainment and dining reservations. They will also escort you off the ship on port days, bypassing the long lines. For theater shows they will escort you down early giving you first pick at the seats (there is also a Haven seating section if you want to sit there). It's a great experience. The Haven always sails at full capacity, but it never feels crowded (unlike the rest of the ship).
  6. My husband uses a mobility scooter too. We use the Cruise Deck Plans website to figure out which cabins have the sofa near the door. Go to https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/Icon-of-the-Seas and navigate to Deck 9. Find the nearest connecting cabins. Cabins 9728 and 9730 are listed as connecting. For connecting cabins, the one on the left has the sofa near the balcony and the one on the right has the sofa near the door (your desired configuration). Your cabin 9732 is next to 9730, so it will have the sofa near the balcony, which is not what you want. Sometimes there are photos and videos of the cabins, but Icon is new so not many are available yet. Since the cabins alternate configurations, you can pick out which ones should have the sofa near the door. Before reserving a cabin I will do a mock booking on Royal's site to see which cabins are available then identify specific cabins with the desired configuration. Hope this helps.
  7. Yes, we sail from Port Canaveral on Apr 26 and we are at Cococay on May 3rd. I'm not surprised that we'll get Icon's leftovers. Who knows when they'll get around to adding the Cococay excursions, but with pricing like that I think it will be a "stay on the ship day" for us.
  8. Adventure Apr 26th - Labadee replaced with Cococay. Icon is there that day so it will be VERY crowded.
  9. Adventure of the Seas, April 12-20, will stop at Grand Turk instead of Labadee.
  10. Giovanni's is our go-to embarkation lunch spot. Shorts and tshirts are fine.
  11. My husband uses a Pride GoGo Sport scooter on cruises. It's narrow enough to fit through the doorways on Royal Caribbean ships. It's the same model of scooter that Scootaround rents at the ports. The hallways on the older ships are narrow and it can be a bit challenging to get the scooter maneuvered into the cabin. The newer ships have wider hallways and the doors are inset somewhat making it much easier to drive the scooter into the cabin. If you are booking a suite, you should have plenty of room to store the scooter in the cabin. We typically book balcony cabins and make sure we select a cabin where the bed is by the balcony door and the sofa is next to the bathroom. We park the scooter next to the sofa, which leaves enough room to walk by it to the bathroom and/or out the cabin door. If you get a cabin with the bed near the bathroom, it may be very difficult (or impossible) to get the scooter around the foot of the bed over to the other side of the cabin.
  12. The instant rewards certificate terms state that you are only permitted to combine certificates earned on the same ship and sail date. You have two sailings, so you should have been able to combine the two earned on your 9-day cruise for one free cruise, and the two earned on your 5-day cruise for another free cruise. Did you and your wife each have two certificates posted to your Club Royale account after you got home?
  13. She will get her free Prime cruise after the current evaluation period ends on March 31st. The offer code typically shows up on the Club Royale site around the second week in April. Any instant reward offers earned on a particular cruise are tied to the points earned on that cruise. It doesn't take into account your current tier status. You typically get dollars off up to 1200 points earned. Mail offers lately have been for a complimentary room for two (sometimes for one with a discounted rate for two). Sometimes the room is only a guarantee. The type of offer and cabin category seems to vary with how much you've been playing. You can't combine points after they are earned, but two people can play on the same account at the same time to earn points on one account. This is advantageous when one person has already made it to Prime and wants to help the other get to Prime. Talk to the casino host at the beginning of the cruise to get an additional card for use in the casino.
  14. And when you debark, the drop off is outside of the terminal. Someone from Scootaround is supposed to be there early, but sometimes they're not. One time we had to leave the scooter outside with the key in the back pouch. We got a text later saying they retrieved it. Make sure you ask about drop off when you pick it up, in case they change the procedure.
  15. Same with my husband. He used to have to wait in the terminal for a crew member to take him onto the ship and up to lunch. With the scooter there's no more waiting.
  16. We sailed on Allure last week (same terminal as Wonder). Scootaround was located outside of the terminal, just to the right of the entrance.
  17. Here is the onboard benefits info we received in our cabin last week on Allure.
  18. I'm seeing it on my Wonder and Icon cruises. Other ships seem fine.
  19. I bring this up in every after-cruise survey. I mention that the newer NCL ships have the main casino as non-smoking and have a separate smaller glassed-in casino as the smoking casino. On every cruise we see people sitting at machines, smoking and not playing. Sometimes there will be announcements that you need to be actively playing to smoke. Even when the casino is closed, there are always a few people using it as an indoor smoking area. On our last cruise, there were a few people vaping on the non-smoking side of the main casino.
  20. Ship - Allure of the Seas Deck - 11 Stateroom # - 11253 Stateroom Category – Central Park Balcony (2J) Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? - Yes (at night). During the day there is noise from the pool deck. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No Balcony View - Balcony overlooks Central Park. It is also across from other Central Park balconies, so be sure to close your curtains for privacy. Was wind a problem? - No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? - None Any other comments? - This cabin was convenient to the Crown Lounge, which is located on Deck 11. This cabin had the bed near the balcony.
  21. We were in the Haven on the Escape last week. The photos of the restaurant and poolside menus were the same for our sailing. The photos of the breakfast cold buffet reflected the same items we had (maybe a few differences but very close). The Escape does not have a forward Horizon Lounge, so the buffet items and specialty coffee machine available on the Encore are not on the Escape. The Haven staff puts some snacks out in the Haven Courtyard in the morning (pastries, orange juice, regular coffee) and afternoon (pound cake, banana bread, peanut M&Ms, gummy bears, infused water). They will also place the poolside menus near the snacks around lunchtime. Just stop one of the waiters if you want to order something. We found the Haven staff on the Escape to be top-notch! Enjoy your cruise!
  22. Ship - Escape Deck - 17 Stateroom # - 17124 Stateroom Category – Haven Courtyard Penthouse with Balcony (HF) Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet. Any other comments? - Close proximity to the Haven concierge desk, bar/lounge and courtyard.
  23. We've brought a mobility scooter on a few Royal Caribbean cruises recently. We'll be bringing it on the Escape next week. The one my husband uses is a Pride Go-Go Sport, 3-wheel. It's 21-22 inches wide and fits through the regular cabin doors. We select a balcony cabin that has the sofa near the bathroom and bed near the balcony. This cabin configuration has the extra room to park the scooter next to the sofa during the night. It still leaves just enough room to get by the scooter to the bathroom and cabin door. If the bed is near the bathroom, there's not enough room to get the scooter into the cabin without blocking the entry way. The space between the bed and the wall is too narrow for the scooter to fit through. I guess you could disassemble the scooter every night, but that would be a pain. On one ship, the hallways were pretty narrow and it took two or three tries to angle the scooter into the cabin. The newer ships have wider hallways which make it easier to maneuver the scooter into the cabin.
  24. Definitely keep track of cabin prices. Last year we were on the Dawn for a 14-day cruise. We had booked an Oceanview cabin and noticed about a month before sailing that the Family Suite (no balcony) cabins were about $1,000 more than what we had paid for an Oceanview. No brainer...we jumped on it and enjoyed all the suite beneifts: butler, concierge, escort on/off ship, breakfast/lunch in Moderno.
  25. Thank you @notamermaid My sister said there was no notification ahead of their travel to Zurich. I agree that Viking should have been aware of the river levels and communicated that to the passengers that were scheduled to travel to this cruise. My sister, brother-in-law and other passengers have arrived in Strasbourg where they are scheduled to board the Viking Idi. Once all the passengers arrive, the Viking rep will meet with them to go over what's going on.
