Hopefully things turn out positively and I can buy you a drink on our cruise on 28th. We’ve booked to stay in Ravenna for two nights and have all the transfers scheduled as well. It would be my youngest daughter’s (and her family) first cruise and she is so looking forward to it. We’re the same re cancelling all our arrangements as I understand there is no charge as long as I notify the hotel within three days of arrival (Tuesday). I’ve phoned BA and they’ve advised an almost full refund as I paid with avios and cash. I guess these are the things that are set to try us.

Whilst I totally sympathise with the people in northern Italy for the catastrophic flooding which brings things into perspective, it shouldn’t detract from RCI doing the right thing for its guests. Will Royal Caribbean be offering a full refund as I for one (and my family) go on holiday to have fun and chill and not have to worry about getting there or indeed home. I can probably get to the pick up in Venice in time (if it is sailing from Trieste) but getting back to Bologna airport in time for a flight at 12.55 on 4th June for me seems to be virtually impossible. I’ve researched and getting a transfer for 7 of us including small kids is a major issue. It would have to be by train and it doesn’t appeal having to lug 7 suitcases all the way there and takes around 5 hours. The key thing for me is that Royal need to make a decision about where my cruise is embarking and disembarking from by Monday. I can then decide on my course of action which would be to cancel if it’s from Trieste. Clearly that is a major change to the cruise arrangements and should therefore constitute an offer of full refund. Any views

I’m in a similar predicament pencruise, my family and I are due to fly to Bologna next Friday for the cruise on 28th and stay in Ravenna for two nights. Looks like they’ve just washed their hands of any responsibility for getting guests to Venice from Ravenna. I feel for you and your family having to spend all that money getting to Venice. Good luck

Does anyone know if RCI are offering transfers to Trieste from Ravenna. They have a responsibility to transfer guests who are already in Ravenna I would have thought.

That’s really concerning. Family and I are on Explorer a week on Sunday and flying in to Bologna on the Friday so goodness what’ll happen if it’s docking in Trieste. Really interested to see what the letter that you will be getting advises.

Are you on the 28th cruise out of Ravenna Little Britain. Myself and my family are as well. Still looking forward to it though

Really sad for those affected. Brings things into perspective. Researched it a bit and a few motorways are affected in the area. Did a route planner and the normal journey was changed to going up north then south adding 45 mins to the journey. Still got a week and a half to go before we fly in so fingers crossed things improve.

I’ve just read that the above has been cancelled due to heavy flooding in this region. I’m flying in to Bologna to catch Explorer next weekend and wondered if any one was aware if the roads from Bologna airport to Ravenna have been affected please? The weather forecast for next weekend looks fine so hopefully the incident clears up quickly. Feel extremely sorry for the people who have died and the thousands evacuated.

So can you take say $500 at a slot machine and then play at the tables. If you need to take out more will you be able to do that at the tables instead or is this blocked off as well

It’s just that I normally take my kilt and as it’s heavy I don’t want to take up 4 or 5 kg in my flight baggage allowance if it wasn’t required.

On Explorer in a few weeks and just wondered if there’s still two formal nights on this 7 night cruise. We’re sailing out of Ravenna Thanks

Is there any system where you can allow kids to have a daily spend limit on their seapass card. I’d like to put say $25 spend limit per day on their cards so we can control their spending. This is more for the arcade which they’re looking forward to going to. We’re on Explorer

Yes but still messed up

We’re on Explorer at the end of May out of Ravenna. Being out of Italy my expectation was that locals tend to go for the late dining option so I am a bit surprised there’s no availability

Maybe it is 0530 but was told it was 6pm. Looked at booking 3 restaurant dining package and it came up as a conflict at 6pm but not 5.30pm. This suggests it’s 6pm but who knows. Also thought the late dining was 8.30pm which then leads you to think it’s 6pm. I could have been given duff info though
