Not at all! -
Safe travels home! We left the ship around 7:45 and took an Uber home to Ft. Lauderdale. Now started unpacking, and then repacking, for an April Fools Day cruise.

I have been to Grand Turk on a Carnival cruise pre-Covid and it was a relaxing day for us. The beach is right at the pier, in front of the ship. The port area has some shopping and an interesting small display about the U.S. Space program (a space shuttle once landed in the water there). We went to Margaritaville for lunch, I don’t know if that is still open.

It was so neat to be sitting in front of the Pub, reading your live review, and look up and see you and your lovely wife. You have a wonderful writing style, have enjoyed reading your live reviews for many years. Hope you have a great Sea day today!

Talking to some other passengers on the ship, and they are saying that they think Royal made a good decision for everyone’s safety. We will enjoy our Sea day.

Nice! The water in Grand Turk is so pretty. We get another Sea Day, and that is okay with me.

Captain just announced on Oasis that Labadee is cancelled fleet-wide

There is seating at the Hooked bar on Icon, but the tables are more comfortable. If you don’t like seafood, you could perhaps order surf and turf and he can eat the lobster while you have the filet. We thought it was delicious!

At Cheers With an Officer Lunch, one of the officers told us that Rover has permission to go ashore at Miami and also CocoCay. He said Rover loves running up and down the beach at CocoCay!

Side by side Miami - moving between ships

We just went from Indy at Terminal D (which is actually a Carnival terminal) to Terminal A. Not as smooth as we were assured it would be. We got a porter to help us with our luggage and he brought us over to the complimentary Port shuttle. Except this shuttle does not go to Terminal A. He took us over to Parking Garage K (which is over by Terminal J) and helped us get our luggage off the shuttle. The shuttle that then came was actually an employee shuttle but since there were no employees waiting to be picked up, he agreed to take us to Terminal A. It took over 40 minutes to get to Terminal A with all the traffic!! But the next time we might just take a taxi from terminal to terminal. -

Just watched Freeze Frame (ice show) again on Independence. My husband said it is his favorite ice show because he loved the music. -

Enjoyed Up in the Air but I preferred Flight on Symphony. Loved Hairspray because of the music. Aqua80 on Oasis is my favorite Aqua show. -

Thoughts CocoCay and weather
sandebeach replied to Bombedpop's topic in Royal Caribbean International
As @ATG posted, today is sea day and we will be on time tomorrow for Labadee. We had gone to Hideaway Bay yesterday with friends, but it was so windy and cold at 69 degrees we only stayed for a half hour. -

Currently on Oasis and we are still docked at CocoCay. The Captain is waiting for the wind to change direction and then we can leave, probably within the next hour or two. -
We put in a bid slightly over minimum for a suite on Oasis, got our reject email the night before we sailed.

Just Curious - What if we Never Leave the US?
sandebeach replied to handbellplayer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We did a 3-day last month on MSC Divina out of Miami. We were supposed to go to Nassau and then MSC’s private island Ocean Cay. It was so windy we couldn’t dock at either port. So we just had two sea days before coming back to Miami. We didn’t get fined or anything! -
Glad you were ok. Saw videos on FB of the slot machines knocked over, that must have been so scary.

We changed cabins last week and were asked to pack everything (went from Deck 10 down to Deck 6)
