Yes, they were $79 plus 18% gratuity. I would just ask for it day 1 and see what they say. There will be several tables selling drink packages.
If I recall correctly, while on Oasis for Christmas, I think the cards were on sale towards the end of the cruise (last 3 or 4 days) and believe it was 10 drinks for $79 (plus gratuity I believe). -
I would like to hear from someone who was on a more "normal" sized ship this week in this area and find out if it was rough for them too.
Oasis is not top heavy, she is rocking like all ships in the Caribbean are right now due to very strong winds. We are presently on Allure in the western Caribbean and it's the same. I wouldn't want to be on a small ship. -
I did a quick look and did not see those specific tables. There is not a great order to the table numbers and some 600's and 900's are next to the 400's???? Anyway, I looked over the railing to the 3rd floor a few times this week and there is really not much to see down there except for people eating! I looked last night and tonight when they introduced the kitchen and dining room staff but they circle through all the dining areas so you don't really need to look over the balcony, just wait and they will pass through.
We can pick a table in the MDR so I have a question. What are balcony tables on Deck 4 like 417, 418, 414 like especially with the view looking down to Deck 3 like? I also am looking at table 412 by the railing. If you have a chance to please check out, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks -
Did not go to the Solarium Bistro for dinner and did not see a menu posted.
Does Le Bistro still list lobster on their menu? One poster said it might be dropped. -
I really don't know what it is. I have heard 2 theories. One is that it was very windy and with the high profile and the open back the ship does not handle the wind well and it is worse than a smaller ship. Others have said it would be worse on a smaller ship. Right now it is pretty smooth.
Are the seas that rough right now or does this ship just rock because it is to top heavy? I'm not excited about sailing on a rocking ship. Been there. Done that. -
Sorry, when I went by dinner was out.
could you post the menu for lunch at givovannis... thanks -

Lots of things to do at night, no shortage there. Dancing, live music, disco, everything.
Make a res for the comedy club as it is small and popular. We could not make our res due to a schedule change so I did stand by one night and barely got in. If a group of about 15 ahead of us did not get tired of waiting, we would not have got in.
Flowrider, rock climbing and zipline are free.
Haven't been to Vintages but will try to stop by.
Hi! I am on the Oasis in 3 weeks and am soooo excited. Few things I am curious about:What is the nightlife like? I like to dance and drink and generally party like I am 25 (even though I am 40) LOL.
Is there a charge to do the flowrider, zipline or rock climbing wall? I have a boardwalk balcony which comes with the eat, drink, play perks which includes a “rock climbing session for the whole family”, which makes me think you have to pay for it if you didn’t have it but I don’t know!
Oh, do you know what they are charging for the tapas at Vintages?
Thanks!!!

1. Agree, absolutely shocking the lack of decent food after 8:45. Pizza is sometimes edible and sometimes not.
2. I thought the Dreamworks parade was on day 1 or 2, we did not go but I thought I saw it on the schedule.
3. First 2 nights was Cats. Nights 3 and 4 was the headliner. He was excellent. I saw the Aqua show the only night it ran and it only ran one night. The first 2 nights it was cancelled due to the ship motion.
4. The venues are surprisingly small for such a large ship. Often you cannot get in as they are full.
I am also on now and we are rocking!!! A few things that surprised me:1. You will be hard pressed to find a hot, free meal (not pizza or room service) past 8:45 at night.
2. I still have not seen anything about the Dreamworks parade and we are on day 6 today.
3. Headliner was only the first 3 nights so we missed him. I don't think the Aqua show is coming back either. It kept getting cancelled and only happened one night (we were docked).
4. Sabor is amazing!
5. Not a ton of adult oriented activites (other than shopping events and spa seminars) during the day.
All that sounds negative but we are having a great time. More of a review with pics to come later.

I have not seen that offered. I scanned the dailies that I still have and do not see it listed. It is possible it was offered a day I don't have anymore but I do not recall seeing it listed. Lots of wine and beer tastings though.
Is there Cavier tasting?? -
I have not eaten there but I did go check the menu yesterday and there was nothing like that on the menu. Prices for food ranged from $2 for a side to $10 for a meal, guac and chips is $6.
Does Sabor have the $20 tasting menu? Thanks

I saw an ad for drink cards yesterday (Thursday of a Sunday cruise start) while I was at Guest Services. That is the first time I have seen anything about it. I'll ask how much they cost and if they were available on day 1. I have to go to GS later as they charged one of our cabins twice for the soda package and it was the wrong amount (bought on Tuesday night was charged for the entire week, not once but twice!)
Please let us know if you see drink cards for sale. Curious about the cost and what day it first shows up.Bon Voyage!

Update- We bought a case of water and a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi. My suitcase wheels were not working at the Orlando airport so I went to Costco Sunday morning and bought a new set. We put the water and soda in the old suitcase and checked it in. Delivered to the cabin no problem. On the ship I asked the cabin steward to dispose of the old suitcase. We had brought an empty duffel bag for this but used the suitcase instead.
We are going on Oasis of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. Does anyone have recent experience with taking water and/or soda on board? Can you check it in with a luggage tag? Can you carry it on board in your carry on?In the past I have done both of these on several cruise lines. I know each port can be different and cruise lines change what they want to enforce.

I am on the Oasis now, if there are any questions ask.

I am on the Oasis now and this is the roughest cruise with the longest amount motion I have been on. The captain has warned us several times seas are rough and be careful and it can be hard to walk at times. He tried a different course than usual last night and it helped for a while but overall we have rocked and rolled all the time since Sunday!
Interestingly, it does not seem to be making people sick though. I am taking my usual precautions as I am very prone to motion sickness but I have not felt sick even once. We are all just sick of the motion and it woke me up this morning!
We'll be on the Harmony Transatlantic in October. How's the motion on the larger ships?
We watched an old episode of Great Ships the other night that was the inaugural sailing of Oasis. The captain went on and on about how stable the ship is and that passengers wouldn't feel any motion at all.
We're not bothered by rough seas, and even enjoy an occasional storm at sea.
Have any of you been on an Oasis class ship during rough weather and felt movement?

It seems all the port areas have a fenced area around them, not just Belize. We have walked around right outside the port area without any problem but always at the end of an excursion, not right on arrival when it is chaos.
Anyway, I loved Xunantunich. We have also been to Altun Ha and Xunantunich was much better and less crowded. Only book with the cruise line though as it is very far away. We got back after the last tender time but the cruise line knew that and there were tenders running for the late cruise excursions.
In my opinion Belize is one of those places you really need to have a planned excursion. The port area has a 12' fence around it for a reason. Not saying there aren't some neat places to visit but I would only do those on an excursion. I would be very cautious about venturing beyond the fence.
Again....this is just my opinion.....nothing more....

Did you check it in or carry it on?
Haven't tried that. I put it in a rolling carry-on bag. -
Maybe I could put it in a cardboard box?
We have had bad luck with putting a luggage tag on a case of water at Port Canaveral. I'd put your water and soda in some sort of container. -

Is the only option on Oasis the unlimited package or are there any options to pay for minutes?
Is it cheaper to buy ahead of time or do they discount them on the ship?
If I buy a 5 device package how does this work if we are in several cabins? If I have a laptop to use plus a phone, will that count for 2 devices or is it just that I can only use 1 at a time?

If you want to get a passport before your trip you can with the expedited service and fee. https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/information/where-to-apply.html
My Dad had to do this when he didn't realize his passport had expired prior to a trip to Europe.
Hello! We set sail November 20' date=' 2016 and when I went to check in online I discovered that my passports expired in July 2016. I looked online and called RC who told me as an American citizen cruising on a closed loop cruise that my birth certificate, drivers license and marriage license will be enough. Is this true? Has anyone had experience with this?? HELP!!Thanks in advance!![/quote']

I get very motion sick and have all of my life. I have used the patch twice and it worked perfectly both times. One trip the seas were very rough for the first 24 hours or so and I never felt the least bit sick. It made me a bit drowsy but not too bad.
The second time I used the patch I had very bad problems once I stopped using it. I would get something like vertigo, "out of it", drowsy, nausea, etc. After doing some research, I discovered withdrawal problems are not uncommon. It went on for 2 or 3 weeks and was really awful, made it very difficult to function because it could hit any time and was debilitating.
I have never used the patch again and will never use it again and now I stick with Walmart brand motion sickness pills taken routinely during the cruise and supplement with ginger candy, saltine crackers and ginger gum.
Also, you are absolutely not to drink alcohol with the patch so if you are planning on drinking, this is not an option anyway.
I'm worried about sea sickness. I could get the patch for $40 but not sure what the side effects are. Is bonine better than Dramamine? I don't want to be sleepy when drinking! Thank you for any helpSent from my iPhone using Forums

Some of the perks the OP mentions are on the RC web site such as the priority boarding, departure lounge with continental breakfast. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cas/benefitsLoggedout.do
Hi there.I know this is just ripe for laughter as it is small potatoes, but could someone please help me with what I will receive on my cruise aboard Harmony of the Seas late April 29 2017 for a 7 day Eastern Carib cruise if I am Gold Crown & Anchor status?
I booked with a Travel Agent for my first and then this cruise and not RCCL, but I have Gold status nonetheless. (I think it doesn't matter as long as I had booked/been on a previous cruise as RCCL gets their money regardless of who I book through correct?)
I looked at the RCCL website to see what perks/benefits Gold members get, but there are a few "if available" notes etc., so could someone please tell me what may I look forward to on Harmony of the Seas being a Gold member?
Do I get Priority Check-in? If so, what does that mean? I'm departing from Port Everglades Fort Lauderdale. Anyone know if/how this affects my Check-in and Boarding?
Is there a special waiting area for us? It mentioned a Continental Breakfast. True? If so,what was it?
Is my SeaPass card identified with something that indicates the Gold status? If so, will that matter anywhere onboard?
Is the Sea Pass loaded with any deals? offers?
Do we get any advantage/priority in terms of Entertainment seating?
If you can think of anything else I might have missed, I would appreciate hearing form you
Thanks
(please stifle laughter as I know most cruisers are at least a gold member-have to start somewhere

It involved a large number of people in the parade, not sure where they all came from. It was very cute and fun.
Vintages has tapas starting at $4+ and then there are some multiple tapas groupings in the $18 range
