It would be fine with me if they put the PW events in the smoking section of the ship🤣
I agree with you.

Would I be able to contact Celebrity and ask if this company has Sky Lounge reserved on what cruise dates. If I knew before final payment I would probably cancel. Sky Lounge in one of our reasons of booking Celebrity ships.

7095 on NA would be a great stateroom. You are surrounded by other staterooms and are away from any "noise" areas. I am linking you to what the room will look like which is 7083 down just a few doors from 7095. Five through 7 are my favorite decks for staterooms because they are surrounded by other staterooms which is the best stateroom to have. The beds in the picture are moved into a "twin" configuration, but it will be configured as a "queen" if you indicate that on your preferences when you book the stateroom. This stateroom is also convenient to the elevators and stairs. https://halfacts.com/signature-class/7083-nieuw-amsterdam-v/
Thank you.

by the way our cruise leaves from Ravenna Italy next July have you experienced that if so did you fly into bologna or Venice and which hotel first time in Ravenna not Venice…
thank you
liliana
We arrived in Ravenna at the conclusion of our cruise. We took bus/shuttle arranged by Celebrity for 3 hour ride to Venice to stay a few days. They also provide service to Venice airport. I can’t remember exact pricing but I think it was around $60 per person. I really miss sailing into Venice but I understand the reasons.
if I were you I would fly into Venice for a few days and then arrange shuttle thru Celebrity. I believe pick up would at airport.

Thanks for information.

Looking to bring some magnetic hooks for cabin. There are so many different weights, what should I be looking at for weight? Will be using for jackets, backpacks etc.

We just booked Pan Pacific with a refundable rate, I only book hotels with refundable rate because you just never know what might happen. In this case cruise is September 2025, too far out to be locked in.

We've been on 25 cruises with about 15 of them on Celebrity, the most recent one before our 8/28/24 Silhouette cruise was in December, 2022. Many of our comments have been well said before on CC, but we wish to state our experience (recognizing some comments are subjective).
The ship was in fine condition, entertainment was very good and most of the ship's employees were friendly & competent. Unfortunately our cabin steward (V-1 prime veranda) was not very good. Many items were not in our room and had to be requested including, umbrella, laundry bag & order forms, pen, paper, card holder, elite events list, ice bucket, etc. We found the food in the buffet good, specialty restaurants very good, but the main dining room food was of lessor quality & quantity than in the past. No nibbles in the bars to munch on. Prices for specialty dining, drinks, etc were overpriced, especially when adding tax & tip when you already are paying for food & drink not used included in your fare. We did not take a drink package this time as my dw is now barely drinking & I can't justify $140-$180/day for a few drinks, beside our HH benefit. A lot more promotions and some "nickle & diming" . Overall, a good, but not great cruise.
We only have a few drinks for an entire cruise so we too can’t justify the package. I wish they included a package that includes just Wi-Fi and tips.

pen, paper, card holder, ice buckets are no longer a thing in cabins. . You can request ice
I know it’s a small issue but it as a nice touch. Even Hampton Inn and Hyatt Place provide those items. The cruise lines in general just keep charging more and providing less, but week booking cruises. I just make sure to bring those items minus ice bucket.

Looking forward to the comparisons. Have missed you guys and your adventures. Looks like some interesting ports. Safe travels.

In my experience you have to request at time of booking, they don’t do it automatically even though they know you’re a Captains Club member. I always call when making reservation and I haven’t worked with TA.

As I remember it was a nice ride to the top and great view, but nothing else. Down below I remember a gift shop, there was a restaurant but only available to those who had booked shore excursion. On a previous trip what restaurants that were there were sold out or closed. Our first Alaska cruise we booked a whale watching cruise, that was great.

I imagine any day now. I booked for July 2025 around the 2nd week of July last year. Land portions, however, didn’t come out until late in the year. I booked our cruise for a specific cabin, and while waiting for the land, decided to do land on our own.
Thank you, I’ll keep watching

When might HAL release 2026 Alaska cruise itineraries?
-
We are thinking of a back to back cruise with turnaround in Seward. What might be some good shore excursions or what to do on our own?

Hi. I could use some advice from people who have done this tour.
I am looking at ‘Sitka's Barrier Islands & Fin Island Lodge.’ (This is through HAL, but I imagine other cruise lines have the same thing). This is the tour in an orange rubber raft zodiac boat that goes around the islands near Sitka and then eventually to Fin Island Lodge for the seafood meal. I want to choose this tour if the boating part is relatively long and in depth. If it’s just a quick ride over to a island with the food, then I’m not very interested. Has anyone done this before? Do you know, how long and in depth, boating adventure part is?
Thanks!
Try looking for YouTube video if there is one.

We chose to go on a smaller boat with Captain Marvin - smaller boat, snorkeled away from the bigger groups.
We too enjoyed Captain Marvin’s tour. We seemed to arrive before the big groups did which was nice. I don’t know if that’s always the norm.

Look for cruise lines that offer covered pool areas for those less than perfect days. Also look for ships with good outdoor viewing areas.

I thought the food wasn’t good, my opinion.
You definitely had to get in line before they opened or would probably not get in until late.
Movies in cabins
in Celebrity Cruises

Our cruise on Constellation last March had very few choices on TV and no pay per view movies. Seems like they could update the choices. It would be nice to access the movies they play outside as weather doesn’t always cooperate.
