There will always be more kids on the ship in Summer and during school breaks.
Also, IIRC, none of the kids clubs were open last June, so that was probably a factor in the number of kids that were running around the ship.
What's to be offended about? I wasn't saying all Blue and Red cards are disruptive partiers. But there is already an established cutoff at Gold Card level that they could easily use.
Also, if your next cruise is 4 days or longer, you will be Gold and be able to buy a bottle under my plan!
If this change is truly due to curb down on drunken incidents on the ships, I have a suggestion:
Make the ability to order bottles a perk you are only entitled to if you are Gold or above.
My guess is that the vast majority of "incidents" happen with Blue and Red Cardholders. If you have had 25 days of cruising under your belt and haven't been disciplined yet, you can probably be trusted with liquor in your room.
If you are willing to take a more expensive cruise on another line just to get buffet bacon every day, go for it. It just lowers the demand and makes a Carnival cruise a better deal for me.
You should have credit for all of your past cruises. And yes, you would be Platinum. Carnival should be able to find your history using your name and DOB.
Actually, the poster was being kind. I have seen posts describing all of the food on Carnival as "inedible". Those poor people... Going on a cruise and not having a single thing to eat the entire time...
We are currently on the Pride and the CD made the announcement this morning. I would assume this is a fleet-wide policy change.
It's so great to see everyone's smiling face!
