  1. We took the Alaskan Cruise this year with three families. I started looking for options in June of 2018 for May 2019. When pricing, I checked Princess, RCL, NCL, CCL. When I was looking for a two person cabin, Princess usually came out a little cheaper. Where the big difference in prices came, was in a family of four. Carnival’s guest 3 and 4 rate was usually $299 pp. Princess’s rate could be as much as $599 pp I guest 3 and 4. It’s good that Carnival is finally deploying a larger ship to Alaska. I liked the Spirit class, but the other lines have larger ships covering the area.
  2. We got an upgrade call for our Alaskan cruise back in May. We went from an inside to one of the premium balcony cabins for $600 for a family of 4. We thought it was an awesome upgrade and took it. They called us on the Thursday before we left on Monday.
  3. There was no evidence of an oil spill. The operator said there was not on at all. It was very beautiful there.
  4. We were on the Carnival Legend on the May 24th visit to Skagway. We were told by one of the local tour operators that the Jewel would not be docking with us that day. We had booked independently and there was supposed to be people from that cruise on with us. He said that the passengers were told there was an oil spill in the port and that they were not docking. Both the Carnival Legend and the Queen Elizabeth docked that morning safely at 7:00. I was wondering what had happened.
  5. We had Simon London back in September on the Triumph. He was great! His tag line is Lovey Jubbly! We loved his Marrage Show. You will have a good time with him.
  6. Has anyone else seen the note on GoCCL about there are no self service laundry facilities? This is a screen shot i grabbed when looking at the deck plans.
  7. The only reason I was asking was related to the tropical systems forming in the Gulf.
  8. We are on the 9/15 sailing of the Triumph this weekend. We got an email saying our departure will now be 5:00 instead of 4:00. Does anyone know why they are pushing back the departure time?
  9. Hey, I was wondering if any recent cruisers on the Carnival Triumph had used the chat feature in the Hub App? We have a small group going next month and would like to be able to get in touch with each other when roaming about on the ship. We had tried to use the chat feature on the Dream last May, but we seemed to have lots of trouble with the chat staying connected.
  10. Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to the new procedure. We cruised last year on the Dream and it seems like it took us right at an hour to go from luggage drop off to finally boarding the ship. It helped we had a 2 year old in a stroller. They cut one of the lines short for us.
  11. Does anyone know if the Triumph has the new embarkation procedure with the card in the mailbox? We are cruising in Sept and was wondering.
