  1. DH swears by his daily G2 (Gatorade), but when we sail he has come to accept Powerade instead.
  2. CLS - Crown Loft Suite SL - Suite Lounge
  3. Thank you. 🙂 We do love surprises. So you said "told to pick your bed"? You mean they aren't pre-assigned? Hummm. Intriguing. It all sounds wonderful. We are so ready for this vacation. Too bad we have to wait until Feb.
  4. We have a beach bed reserved for our Feb 2020 visit to Coco Cay. Looking forward to seeing the updates and renovations. Curious to know as we've seen/heard different things...we booked the beach bed online a couple weeks ago, but how/when do we find out the specific bed assignment or do we get to choose? Do we check in with the excursion desk once we get on-board? Should we call RCCL "now" to get the assignment? Do we wait until we arrive @ Coco Cay (surprise)? How did you find out your assignment/bed location?
  5. Following. We sail on Allure on February 2, 2020 and wondering the same. We purchased the Ultimate/Unlimited Dining Package, so also considering Specialty Dining Venues as well. Nothing against the WJ, but relaxation/de-stressing is the key word for this vacation. Based on some of the Cruise Compasses we've seen posted recently it looks like some may be open as early as as 12:00noon. If that is the case, are reservations required?
  6. Bob can likely confirm, but I seem to recall "beach wheelchairs" being available to assist mobility challenged guests in the sand. There is also a tram available to transport guests from the pier to Barefoot Beach (and other stops) at Labadee. As for the distance from the beach (i.e., the B1 or B2 cabanas) to the restrooms and buffet, it's not far but for those with mobility issues it can be a distance including walking through sand to get to a paved path. Attached is a map/diagram to give you an idea . The blue line represents the tram path, while the green lines are paved walking pathways. The buffet is at the rear of the Barefoot Beach (13) area (marked with a blue rectangle), with the nearest restrooms outside of the Barefoot Beach area (15).
  7. We've had an over-the-water (W3) and a beachfront (B1) and enjoyed them both very much. I agree with Bob that W5 or W6 would be amazing...a little more private as we found we had a lot of "traffic" on the walkway behind us throughout the day as others were going to/fro W1/W2. B1 was nice when we were traveling with my elderly parents...easy access to the water and less distance to walk for them. As for standard cabana locations? Some are closer to the paved path, some are closer to the water, while the ones in the back are closer to the bar/buffet. It would come down to availability and your preferences.
  8. The question of drink prices is a recurring topic and can be easily searched. Several people have posted menu pics or even detailed price breakdowns for the various beverage offerings. However, only you can decide if the drink package price paid is "worth it". What you need to remember is that the deluxe beverage package includes a wide variety of beverages...not just alcohol. Bottled water is about $3. Canned soda is about $4. A specialty coffee (not Starbucks) can run about $5. Then when you get to the alcoholic beverages (i.e., beer, liquor, mixed drinks, and wine) they can range from $6 to $15. So yes...depending on your beverage(s) of choice and how much you plan to drink, it can definitely add up.
  9. Love, love, LOVE your cabin. We are sailing on Allure in a CLS in Feb 2020. The configuration of your cabin/suite appears to be the same as ours and we're Diamond too (thank you for sharing both letters). Any details or info you can share about your experience with your cabin, the Suite lounge, and/or the Diamond lounge would be great! When we finally sail, it will be about 2 years since my last cruise and about 3 since my DH's last one. So looking forward to Allure and our first CLS.
  10. Absolutely no judgement. TSA Pre-Check is amazing and IMHO worth the investment if you use air travel even more than a few times each year...assuming your home or destination airports support TSA Pre-Check. Not having to take off my sweater/jacket, shoes, or empty my bag (don't even have to remove my "ziplock" bag) has spoiled me. 😛
  11. Sweet! (No pun intended) Thank you. I thought that was the case, but then started to second guess myself. I hate it when that happens. 🙂 So definitely no need to buy any internet "enhancements" since both DH and I will have Surf & Stream as part of the suite. That should be all we need for the occasional email or Facetime call back home.
  12. Bob...sorry to hijack this thread, but I thought I knew the answer and now I am questioning myself. We will be in a Sky Class suite on Allure in the coming months. Do you know...which VOOM internet service is included? Surf or Surf & Stream?
  13. This is correct based on the information that we have been provided. We splurged for the UDP on our upcoming Allure sailing too. We selected a time that we would like to dine. Royal will make the first night reservation for us and the information will be in our stateroom when we arrive. Then once onboard we can make the remainder of our reservations.
  14. We were on Oasis in August 2015...stayed in a GS. There was a suite sundeck on 17 (agreed it was way too hot and away from the pool. There were cabanas that we took advantage of a couple of times...it was nice, private, quiet, and provided shade. There was a bar available which was very handy, but nope...no hot tub. The closest hot tubs were on the pool deck or the solarium.
