  1. Same here. You place the order and maybe get about 1/4 of what you ordered. Then you go to the store and they have the items you didn't get. Our stores here by Philly have just removed the directional lines. People seem to be doing the right thing for now. Though that being said, I don't go on the weekends or at peak times.
  2. This exactly. What is the problem with staff serving you? Make the buffet one long line with marks on the floor so people stay distant. Have staff hand you your plates and utensils, monitor the lines, enforce rules. Move the tables farther apart. Supply condiment packets. It can work, it will just have to be different. Honestly, not too mad if the traditional buffet goes away forever. Self serve with all the touching or food and cross contamination has always been gross to me. JMHO.
  3. Here is the Voom speed today on Anthem. Haven't had any streaming issues.
  4. Casino told me the other day that it would be open next week, when we're there. Hahahahahaha. Gotta love RCCL.
  5. Keep an eye on the app. It gives you the menus a ways out and then the entertainment right before sail away.
  6. I would have to think the rule to exclude minors is for both the adults and minors. I don't want children to intrude in my adult time, adult conversation, drinking environment and children probs shouldn't be exposed to an adult time, adult conversation, drinking environment. Kinda feel like the rule does good things for both sides. And as a few posters said, most of the unders aren't looking to hang out with us old folks anyway. What good is there in putting two groups of people together that are wanting and doing different things?
  7. I hoping less too. That's why we changed our week. Anthem TG 2017 was just way too many kiddos.
  8. MIL on Grandeur just texted... "Hey just an update. We are still in the Chesapeake Bay. We will be pulling out at 10pm and will be in Cape Hatteras by 8am.".
  9. She texted us that they're staying in port overnight as ordered by the Coastguard.
  10. My MIL is Grandeur today. Wonder if they'll keep their itinerary
  11. As others have said, they play a game or two at the pool. There are also games on in the Schooner, the casino and in your room. We were able to stream very well up in the Viking Crown and it was completely empty on game day, so we put the sound up and watched on our tablet. Great bar service too with no other passengers. Helpful hint, if it's cold outside, you can watch the pool screen from the Viking too. No sound though. Hope you find what you're looking for. Go Birds!
  12. How did you find the traffic in the port lot at that time? Last time we got there at 11 and it took a little while to get past the porters and into the garage.
  13. Actually, when they replied to my email about linking, they told me the criteria and then said that they had already confirmed his address thru our current res. They rest they needed me to provide.
  14. This is 100% me. Widowed years ago, met someone and after some time, decided to link us. Now he's my status. If we're ever "unlinked" in life, I can C&A unlink him too. Literally just finished setting this up like 2 weeks ago so we'd be the same for our 12/1 sailing. BTW... sorry you lost your person. It sucks. A lot.
  15. So I am not vegan, but while looking over the menus listed in the app for my 12/1 Anthem cruise, I noticed quite a few vegan items that I would be interested in. That being said, I don't recall seeing a/the vegan section on photos of the paper menus they present on the ship. Do you have to ask for the vegan menu? I get my menus the night before, due to my food allergy, but wondered. Thanks!
  16. I left a jacket on an upper deck chair last year. Case of SO thought I grabbed and I thought he grabbed. Went right to guest services as soon as I realized and nada that day or the day after. On the third day, I came back to my cabin to find it on the bed and laundered. Apparently the pool attendant found it on the ground, under the chair, wet and dirty. It was happy and totally surprised to get it back and I made sure to let RCCL know. I am sorry you aren't having such luck. I hope things turn around for you.
  17. I like good service. I appreciate hard work. I am happy to pay for both. It enhances my vacay. That's probs not the case for everyone and guess what... that's OK. I am not mad when my drink is waiting for me and "you're" still waiting in line...
  18. I've worked service. I tipped out bar backs, bussers, sous, lines, etc. when it was appropriate. They made more than me but they could also make or break my night. Also, I am pretty sure the ship staff knows who is doing what they're supposed to and who is slacking off. Not my business. I give cash to the people who directly affected me and my vacay. I don't care what they do with their tips after I give them. It's their business. Not trying to police the world. I just give to those who I feel deserve it.
  19. I usually remove grats, as we like to give cash. We are super low maintenance but still start out with cash and a convo with our cabin steward. Don't every really need anything special, just like him/her to know who we are and what we're looking for. MDR staff gets a hefty cash tip, but not until the end, as I am 100% high maintenance there. Food allergy and all. Would never, ever not tip the minimum. Even if there was an issue. Feel like the min tip is kind of more like part of the staff's salary than gratuity. Just my two cents.
