At this point it was after 11 am so we were free to Park Hop over to California Adventure. I reserved Soarin’ Around the World while we waited for Mr. Toad’s Wild Walk. Our ride time was 1:50. We wanted to do Guardians of the Galaxy over there too.
We were standing in line for it’s a small world when we heard a Big Crunch. An “ahhhhh”. Then some loud beeping. I looked over and this lady had driven her scooter right into a set of trash cans. Against my better judgment, I laughed, only cuz it was really funny, and no one was harmed in the incident. Oh and the best part was when her family left her. They wanted no parts of that situation, and I don’t blame them one bit. Ma’am maybe scooter life ain’t for you. That scooter is a weapon forming against you that could possibly prosper. Leave it alone.
I just laughed so loud at the scooter!

Good to know! We'll be back down there in April. Probably a little early I guess.
Yeah, they just started clearing the land. I think they said by Jan 2025.

We checked out of the hotel at 7am and then gassed up the car for the next leg of our journey…..
Once back on I-95 south, it was only a few minutes before we entered Florida…..
We continue to head south on I-95…..
As we pass St. Augustine, we see this famous sign…..
Patti insists that we pull in so that she can do a photo essay of the property, just like the one she did of South of the Border last year…..
We are entering Buc-ee’s……
To be continued……
I live at exit 38. A few exits before Kingsland. They are building a brand new Buc ees at exit 42. Just broke ground Monday. Should be ready for you next year!

W and I cruised in Oct and I did write a review, however, it is still sleeping peacefully in my notebook. I will wake it up and post it though, if y’all don’t mind reading about my rock bottom autumn era. 🤪🤪🤪

For anyone who has recently cruised on the Liberty, are there any adults only pools or hot tubs? I’ll definitely be spending some time at Serenity but was wondering about possible pools as well. Thanks!!
Yes, pretty sure its in the back of the ship

I haven't really been in CC since my cruise in Sept. Has she done any lately?

pretty sure the 15 (alcoholic) drink limit is whether you have the cheers package or not. They don't want you stupidly drunk whether you are buying it with or without the drink package.Thats what I thought too

If you're not purchasing cheers he will not have a 15 drink limit. The 15 drink limit is only if you're on the Cheers plan. Otherwise you can purchase as much as you'd like as long as you're not stupidly drunk and they stop serving you.
In answer to your bucket of beers/will they be open question. I know they usually open beers for you, but I don't think they open all of them for you if you open a bucket. It's been awhile since i've purchased a bucket so I could be wrong on that. You could always ask them to not open them though (or open them) depending on your preference.
Have fun!
Oh ok. I have seen many times people on here say its 15 no matter Cheers or not

They will not allow you to buy a bucket on Cheers. It is one drink at a time and there is a 5-10 minute wait time before they can ring in another.
We aren't getting cheers since I don't drink.

My wife and I been on 5 Carnival cruises. We like to chat with others over meals. For three of the cruises we booked YTD and requested shared tables for dinner each time while checking in on the app (25+ times). We were always given our own table (usually a small two person table) and was never given a shared table at dinner. The only time I've had a shared table assigned was at seaday brunch.
Is there a point in requesting a shared table at dinner for Your Time Dining? Is the only way to get a shared table for dinner is through fixed dining?
You are literally 1 ft from the next table so we always end up talking to them anyway.

So my next question is this. If he buys a bucket I'm assuming it counts 6 towards his 15? Will they be open or does he have to open? It will be cheaper to buy the bucket and bring back to the room whatever he doesn't drink but that wont work if they open them for you.

Carnival Cruise Beer Menu (cruisecritic.com)
Not impressive if you only like high-end craft beer (e.g., Pliny The Younger, World Wide Stout, etc.). I usually stick to rum while on the ship, it makes me talk like a pirate. Fun to order a Pirate Punch with a pirate accent. But at home I drink beer more often than not.
The words "high end" and my husband don't go together 🤣

based on various articles that can be found it seems like NCL is more in the negotiation phase with the port officials that it MIGHT happen sometime in the future. no official announcement/press release about it
I'm an hour from Jax. It would be great to have a 2nd option.

I read that a NCL ship is coming to Jacksonville, Fl? I'm sure it will be a smaller one because it has to fit under the bridge.

Starry is far superior to Sprite, IMO. Sprite has a slight DIRT after taste to it (yah! that's experience speaking!) and Starry is just a cleaner experience.
I'm not a fan of Pepsi in general, but ever since I gave up caffiene, I've found that the "other" options that Pepsico offers are better (Mug rootbeer rocks!)Clearly you've never had a crisp and spicy Sprite from McDonalds 🤣

Back here at the room now, and I don't even know if I'm going back out this evening. It's been a long strange trip here this week. Ups. Downs. Sideways a couple of times... A pretty decent time by all standards... Things didn't go "exactly" as great as I'd thought, but then again it was magnitudes better than my last cruise on Virgin Voyages, so that's a plus... I've got some REAL work to do once I get back home to Atlanta... Try to work on this drinking situation, as well as looking into therapy. On top of that, tackling whatever health issues I may or may not have, and also trying to figure out what I'm going to do for work going forward after my days over at the 'ol salt mine come to an end...
Seems like my plate is pretty full right now... Thanks to all of you who made it this far on this crazy crazy week!
I've been off CC since my cruise in Sept so I missed the VV drama. Going over there now to read it.
