So I'm waiting for my VH GTY assignment on the Niew Stantendam on 11/12. So I went to see if a cabin # was on my luggage tags. No Cabin #, but they are orange color. Does that mean Club Orange and a Neptune Suite upgrade?
Thanks,
Paul
Sorry that is the color for the ship.

I live in the Tampa bay area and if the cruise is leaving on a Friday, Sat or Sunday I take the cruise connection bus from Clearwater. It will leave you off at your cruise ship . It also runs both ways so depending on your return date you could go both ways. I have also taken the train but it does not get in untill after sailing time so you have to stay one night in a hotel. Also the cab fare from the port to the train station is close to $ 50. I also have a friend that rents a car each way so they do not have to pay for parking. These are a few options for you to explore.

I still have a few from my past cruises. I would share if you send me info on where to send it. I have the old style and the newer ones that are more fabric like that we got on the world cruises.

I have done a world cruise on the Queen Victoria with it's many segments. There were only about 400 full world cruisers and segments as low as 2 days. Also guests were allowed to disembark any time including not official segments. Long story short it was like a hop on hop off bus with people coming and going all the time and some only staying overnight. Never again that is not my idea of a world cruise. Btw I have done 6 world cruises on HAL. Getting off the ship in tender ports was a long wait and some people got off with only a couple of hours before they had to return.

Door decorations were not allowed on the 2020 WC because of fire hazard but if your decoration is metal you could slip by.

The Zaandam only has 2 SB and 26 SA so for the 2022 world cruise it very well be sold out. To be sure call HAL or your travel agent.

HAL is very active on facebook.

I have been on the Queen Victoria for the world cruise and the Queen Mary for the transatlantic and I was not comparing ships but everything else.

I have been on 7 world cruises on HAL and only 1 on Cunard. I think that says it all.

The Grand World cruise goes to the Amazon in its first segment

The Jones act says that cruises have to stop at one foreign country. It does not say passengers have to get off the ship. Perhaps that will be enough for Canada to let a cruise ship in. I have high hopes for my Alaska May 1 trip round trip Seattle.

No matter how many names she has she will always be OUR VEENDAM.

Mine came today. The bags were clean and the contents were all in good shape except for the wrinkles of being packed for 7 months. There was no musty odor. Hard candy was not sticky. They were in the same shape as they would have been getting off the ship to come home with me. After the laundry is all done I think my 2020 world cruise will be done. Hopefully I will be able to cruise on the Zaandam on the 2nd of Jan 2021 yes 2021

OK I have the opposite problem I am looking for cruise insurance but I do not need medical or very little medical as my medical insurance pays out of the country. Any help for me out there?

Have you noticed that there are no segments offered for the World cruise only the full 128 days.

Sale was posted on HAL website. It is a done deal.

I am doing 7 back to backs on the Veendam starting Jan 3 out of Tampa for a total of 96 days. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Depending on your cabin there may be only 1 american outlet in the cabin. Spent 100+ days in a outside cabin the first of the year and it had only 1 american and 1 European at the desk, so you might ask for a power strip as well.
