Good TGIF everyone and thank you Roy, Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie & Ann. Important day in history for space and it makes sense it is Human Space Flight day to match it. Street children need our help and as much as can be given every day. A good quote - not sure I can live up to it though, yet. Loved Cozumel the first time I visited on a BHB. In fact, I loved it so much DD DH and I went there for our honeymoon. We took a little plane to Chichen Itza and toured it in the morning before it was too hot. Magnificent. We were done by the time the hot, tired tourists on the buses had arrived. Another rainy day here and a few things to get done today. Ivan is off to be groomed & once he’s back I’m off to see the foot nurse specialist. I’m hoping she can help or give some advice. The podiatrist sure doesn’t 😞 And, I have discovered that the IOS update for my Ipad had mucked up my copy and paste. GRRRR. It took far too long to get the FCL up 😡 Prayers for those on the Care list, those suffering losses, grief, pain, health problems, worries & those that need them 🙏 Cheers to those celebrating & cruising 🥂

No, it doesn’t. the shower is the typical shower in a bathtub. everything else on that ship in those suites has been updated but I suspect the plumbing would have been too tricky or cost prohibitive to do. They are still nice cabins - much bigger than the newer ships - like many of the cabins on this ship.

HAL has offered so many nice itineraries in the past it’s hard to pick a favourite - We really enjoyed South America & Antarctica on the old Rotterdam, the 28 day Azores & Celtic Explorer on the Prinsendam, the med & River cruises on the Prinsendam, the 30 day Med & Glack Sea Explorer on the Prinsendam - heck we loved every itinerary on that ship. I’m looking forward to this Fall on the Oosterdam - 25 day Med Romance & Spanish Farewell on the Oosterdam And the 25 day Crossing Madeira, Morocco & Coe d’Azur on the Oosterdam in the spring. Our Fall sailing is only 15 says but it sure promises to be a good one with the roll call we have. In the meantime I will be heading out on a lowly 14 day FLL - MTL sailing on the little Volendam.

Sorry if I missed it Gail, but are the services you are offered by your steward/bulter standard on Scenic. Do they call every room a suite or did you book a special category to obtain this? It sounds lovely. Very impressed on how they approached the dietary requirements 👍 The chairs with the 3 legs are in the lounge? Are they comfortable? It nearly looks like they could tip like the old office chairs. Sounds like you are off to a terrific start 👍

Definitely report it. In the case of our cruise, the parties making the complaint did get an answer and the “service” dog (it was one but not properly trained) was no longer allowed in the Lido after several accidents (why I say it was not a fully trained service dog). The passengers who complained were advised so they could report IF it showed up. There were 3 service dogs on our European cruise - including the famous Joska who holds a platinum medallion. Joska is ‘retired’ but accompanies the owners as their new dog is still in training. Both dogs behaved beautifully and it was a delight to see them asked up at the Medallion ceremony for a special picture. I had a couple of nice moments when they were ‘released’ so I could lather a bit of love on them. The other dog was a service dog with an owner with a legitimate need but it was not properly trained and accounted for the issue I mentioned above. She was a sweet dog and in most cases very good but it was obvious from her indiscretions she was not fully/properly trained.

I’m from Canada so my definition on cold and someone from the South are probably different 😉 We found the weather “nice”. First few days are quite warm and then it has still been nice - 60’s usually. Early morning (like 6 AM) is cool and needs a sweater, jacket or towel.

Excellent quote by C.S. Lewis. DD DH and I enjoyed our visit to Jordan many years ago. it’s been appointment heavy days between the podiatrist, acupuncturist & physio. Podiatrist can’t do much for the pain in my foot but it’s good for it to travel she says. She wants me to get a referral to a vascular surgeon 😬 Then I spent a few hours scrambling and re-planning when Air Canada changed our return flight. Looks like we will have to fly to Moncton and drive home unless we want to travel for 7.5 hours to get home on what is less than a 2 hour flight. GRRR. The direct flight to here has disappeared on our return date for some unknown reason. Lots more appointments to cram in before I leave.
