  1. Thank you, I'm with you it's been a long, frustrating 2020 and 2021. By the way Arielle will be 27 in November and Mitchel turned 25 in July. Hoping for some grandkids to we can return to family cruising.
  2. I know how you feel, we had our 2020 cruises in Australia and New Zealand cancelled as well as our 2021 cruises in Japan and Australia cancelled. We decided to stay close to home in 2022 and we have a B2B2B (Symphony of the Sea, Sky Princess and Celebrity Reflection) scheduled in February and then in November a B2B2B2B (Celebrity Apex, Sky Princess, Norwegian Encore and Carnival Celebration). We have a lot of cruise credits to use up. LOL
  3. Yes, Arielle will be 27 in November and Mitchel turned 25 in July. Looking forward to the day when they have their own family and we can all go cruising again as a family.
  4. Thanks, it's nice to see that some people are still enjoying my review after 10 years.
  5. Great review, fantastic photographs. We are doing a 12 days to New Zealand in November. Do you know how the appointments time assigned for boarding the ship. We are used to boarding as soon as possible, love to get the most out of our first sea day.
  6. If you can get one on the your first B2B can you use it on your second B2B?
  7. Would it be a problem to bring a medium and carry suitcase each on the train?
  8. Thanks everyone, We usually leave late at night or the next day, however this flight is ideal for several reasons. We are not familiar with Sydney and that’s why I was asking. I’ll take everyone suggestions in making a decision.
  9. Ovation of the Sea arriving at 6:30 am on Friday, December 11, 2020. Do we have enough time to disembark , go through customs, get to the airport for an international flight leaving at 1:15 pm.
  10. 27 Days Allure of the Sea and 410 days B2B on Ovation of the Sea.
  11. Yes I did tip in cash at the bar and I usually sought out the same bartenders if possible. In regards to the smaller menu at Butcher’s cut, if you pre purchase a dining package you will be picking your meal from a smaller menu unless you want to pay extra and pick from the regular menu if you are paying a la crate then you have access to the regular menu but the prices are high.
  12. She works out every day and she eats very healthy when we are at home. Cheers
  13. Thank you, we are doing very well and looking forward to our next cruises B2B2B on Allure of the Sea, Regal Princess and Crown Princess this November as well as our B2B on Ovation of the Sea in 2020 in the South Pacific.
  14. Background info: Mike (55), occupation- Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Mountie), Tracy (37) Paramedic, formerly from Wales, U.K Arielle (15) and Mitchel (14). With lots and lots of overtime and over 5 weeks of vacation time we are fortunate enough to be able to take a month off each year. In 2006, 2007, 2009 we spent a month in Florida doing the Disney, Universal, beach etc. In 2008 we spent a month in Wales, UK visiting Tracy’s family. Introduced to cruising last year, We did 4 day cruise on Carnival Sensation. Everybody loved it so much we decided to skip the amusement parks and beach and simply cruise for most of the month. Aug 19th Destiny, Aug 23rd Imagination, 2 days off, Aug 29th Valor, Sept 5th Freedom. I took well over a thousand photos, therefore this review will have a lot of photos. Highlights: Chef’s table (Imagination), surprised my wife by proposing to her again with a new ring since she had her’s stolen years ago (Valor), renewed our vows (Valor), Scarlett’s Steakhouse (Valor), Sun King Steakhouse (Freedom), Snorkeling and Paradise Beach (Cozumel), Seven Mile Beach (Grand Cayman), Mahogany Beach (Roatan) private tour (Ocho Rios). Pre-cruise: We left New Brunswick, Canada on Aug 14th and traveled to Andover, MA. We stayed two nights at the Staybridge Suites, $54.21 per night through Priceline in a studio room with king size bed, full kitchen, free hot breakfast, free wireless internet, free parking. The only negative was the sofa bed, it was so terrible that the kids slept on the sofa cushions rather than the thin, springy mattress. On Aug 16th we drove to Boston and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express through ParkSleepFly, $209.86 with 21 days of free parking.
