  1. As others have mentioned, mask requirements can vary from ship to ship and various ports of call. This is a fluid situation and it is always best to check Celebrity's website for this type of information as passengers on sailing embarking from the USA are different from sailings embarking from the UK, for example. Here is the latest from Celebrity (lots of good info here and their statement on masks on ships sailing from the US is included....there is also a short statement about masks on ships sailing from a ports outside the US: https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/us-travel-requirements Let's not debate the subject any further here. These protocols change rapidly. Bookmark the link above and check it frequently.
  2. PinkSandGirl ~ thanks for taking us along with you! Have a fantastic time....can't wait to be onboard in 11 days!!!!
  3. We're on the Oct 20 sailing, too! Come join our roll call:
  4. FROM CELEBRITIES WEBSITE (you can pull it from the link above but you have to scroll: Vaccines All crew and guests who are eligible to be vaccinated must be fully vaccinated with all doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. View Vaccine FAQ's. NOTICE: Proof of vaccination will be recorded and may be reviewed for signs of fraud. Unauthorized use of an official government agency seal such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seal is a federal crime, and will be reported to the relevant government authorities.
  5. Thanks, Jim for takin us along and sharing so many details and photos with us! Safe journey home!!!!
  6. Please tell Connie and Sylvia that Anne, Andy, Amanda and James say hello....we miss them!!!!!!
  7. I don't often comment on a post like this but there are things in your post that are simply untrue. Celebrity is not going to dump you in some foreign port at your expense. Before posting comments like this, please review ALL of the information readily available on Celebrity's website. There is enough misinformation out there without spreading misinformation here on Cruise Critic.
  8. I do not believe that tests to return to the US are required for ships that left from a US port and return to a US port. We were tested in St. Maarten after our Summit cruise two weeks ago because it was required to fly into the US from a foreign port. Tracelet didn't bother me at all but I'm pretty sure they are going to facial recognition for contact tracing....I know Royal is doing that.
  9. I just double checked and CrusinFromL.I. is correct. CVS offers the rapid antigen test in Ft. Lauderdale however, I didn't see any times currently available. Start here and see if you can find a time you can schedule: https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing/covid-assessment
  10. Walgreens definitely offers a test that should work. It's called Rapid Diagnotic Test - IDNow which provides results in less than 24 hours. I had this test to get on Summit in St. Maarten two weeks ago and I had my results in 30 minutes; my husband had his in an hour. So as long as you are in Ft. Lauderdale more than 24 hours prior to embarkation, this could work for you. The challenge with Walgreens is that they only open appointments for the next two days so you'd have to jump on line to get an appointment as quickly as possible two days out. I logged on just after midnight two days out and had the pick of my appointment times. There is no charge for these tests at Walgreens. You don't indicate when you are sailing. Know that things could change between now and whenever you arrive in Ft. Lauderdale.
  11. Celebrity is doing away with all one-use plastic bottles. On Summit last week it was either the aluminum water cans (which I truly dislike and bring my own Orca water bottle to fill) or Evian glass bottles. We saw the San Pellagrino (sparkling) at dinner.
  12. I believe there is a transition happening to facial recognition for tracing but I have no idea which, if any, of the Celebrity ships have this yet. Some Royal ships definitely have it.
  13. WOW....that's surprising! I think it's becoming more challenging for most to secure the test. Good luck and safe travels.
  14. Testing - By the way, Celebrity does accept the ID Now test at Walgreens (they've added this to their website). We had our results in 30 minutes before we flew to St. Maarten for Summit two weeks ago. I'm already excited to follow along, Jim!!! Keep the posts coming!
  15. Hi Jim ~ stopping by to wish you a wonderful cruise on Equinox. I'll be following as we sail in October! ENJOY that RS! I'm sure you are going to love it! Safe travels and Bon Voyage!!!!

  19. OH MY GOODNESS.....that is wonderful. What an awesome son you have. Please send our best to Connie and Silvia in the Retreat Lounge. Would love to be there with you ... if only work didn't interfere. Have a wonderful time and HAPPY 26th. Many more!!!
  20. You made me laugh. We haven't been in a Sky Suite on the M or S class ships before. I know they've mostly been revolutionized so I don't know if the bathrooms changed but perhaps many may just put the curtain outside the tub and let water get on the floor or be very careful to avoid water getting on the floor??? Remember these ships didn't sail for well over a year so maybe it just hasn't been mentioned before. The older I get, the more I notice these things!
  21. Nope....no Boulud entrees for us on the Luminae menus. They did offer the Chef's table and I believe the menu was his but we didn't attend.
  22. I think if anyone is going to do "cutting" it should be a Celebrity staff member, not a passenger.
