Great News!! We just received an e-mail from Azamara this morning for our October 12, 2024 cruise from Boston to Montreal notifying us that the AzAmazing evening will now be off-board in Quebec City on October 22nd at the Mamege Militaire de Quebec Theatre for a performance of "A Night with Machine de Circue". This replaces an onboard event previously scheduled for Saguenay.

Anyone know who the officers may be on the Journey in October?

We were on the Vista, PH2 #7116 in January, 2024 for 22 days in the Caribbean. We had the extended balcony with two loungers, two chairs and two tables. The balcony is huge! We also had the chance to check out the aft wrap around balcony on deck 7 and it also had the two loungers, two chairs, and two tables. Our butler told us the only large extended balconies are on the aft Deck 7. Hope this helps.
We also had no noise from the dining room below or the rooms next door or from the hallway.

We are booked on Vista for next February in PH2 #7114. Glad to hear that loungers are on the extended balcony. Any problems with noise from below, since we are over the dining room? Thanks.

Thank you! There is a PH3 available on deck 10, across from the laundry room. I'm prone to motion sickness so we are trying to stay as midship as possible. This is about 1/3 of the way back from the bow. Thoughts?
We had PH3 10020 across from the laundry room last year on the Marina from Lima to Miami. The location was very convenient to the stairs and elevator as well as the laundry and I would have no hesitation to book that suite again. We did not notice any more motion than further toward the middle of the ship.

We did a b2b in July in August and a cruise on Vista in Jan. We were in concierge cabins. Both times I asked our steward for a clock and received beautiful clocks both times.
Rhea
We asked for a clock in our PH2 and it was brought to our room within an hour or two.

I would like to mention that the covered outdoor Terrace was a great addition on the Vista. It was possible to seat everyone at breakfast and lunch with complete shade even next to the railing most of the time! We always enjoy the beautiful weather outside while dining on the terrace during the warmer itineraries.

We just disembarked the Vista yesterday morning after 22 days in PH2 cabin 7116. We never heard anyone talking or TV from rooms on either side. Actually, we didn't hear hallway noise either. Perhaps the wall insulation is not uniform throughout the ship? We had a great Butler as well as room attendant and the food quality was very good. We would sail again on the Vista for the right itinerary.

We did ours a few years ago in May. Weather was beautiful in Tahiti as well as Hawaii
Good to know. I have heard that May and June are also good times to be in FP.

It doesn't matter, on all sailings departing after 01OCT 23 every cabin had 2 WIFI logins.....irregardless if you were booked under SM or OLife. We just sailed on Vista and this was the case.
Thanks for the update. We are booked with Cruise Only on the Vista in January so curious about the latest internet rules.

We have sailed twice in French Polynesia as well as a land vacation on Moorea during late March and early April. As I recall, both trips during those months were quite hot and humid and somewhat uncomfortable, so I am pleased to see that Oceania is now going to sail in the somewhat cooler winter/spring in FP which is about 5 or 6 degrees cooler. The Windstar and Paul Gauguin have been sailing in the cooler months for several years now. My son and wife just returned from 10 days on Moorea in mid-October and they said the weather was perfect....warm but not uncomfortable.

Same with our Nautica sailing last month. We each had our own login, no more bumping each other off to check an email etc.. the only bumping was if i wanted to switch from laptop to iPad with my login.
Was this booking Simply More or still under the old booking with either Cruise Only or OLife.

It used to be .25 a sheet. Don’t know currently.
I printed out Boarding passes recently on both Riviera and Marina and there was not any charge for printing. I used the Executive Lounge on the Marina and the computer center near Baristas on the Riviera.

People on board may not even be aware of covid cases. We had no idea there were cases on our cruise a few weeks ago until we got home and read about it on line.
We are currently onboard the Marina and have not heard of any Covid cases during our cruise from Lima to Miami. Everything seems normal and have not noticed anything out of the ordinary. No coughing and only a very, very few masks worn by anyone whether passengers or crew. We are enjoying our cruise and have been going ashore on most of the ports with no problems.

Thanks! I thought that was the case, but hadn't purchased off the ship in several years. We have a Lima to Miami cruise coming up next month.

I know we can bring wine and other alcohol beverages onboard when embarking the first day, but wanted to know if any problem with Oceania purchasing in other port stops along the cruise and bringing back onboard?
-
Currently on Riviera as well as the next 7 day segment. I suppose Oceania has better information than weather.com, however, wind speed at 5 p.m. is predicted at 16 m.p.h. in Puerta Plata on weather.com as well as other weather sites brought up on the oh so slow internet! The Riviera is definitely more likely to get into Miami on time with an entire extra day at sea!

Yes, I definitely change to Airplane Mode as soon as the ship leaves the port. I did get the warning from T-Mobile the first day out about no coverage at sea.

Hello, I am currently on the Pursuit having left Ravenna on Monday and now in Monemvasia, Greece. T-Mobile worked great on land for 6 days in Venice and Ravenna and super fast at all of the ports in Greece we have visited so far. I can be in my room on the ship in port and it connects easily with the T-Mobile network on land at the port. We have used it for checking e-mails, texting including a few photos, and calling back to the U.S. I haven't tried using as a hotspot on the ship yet, but will report back if I do so. I did sign up for the extra $50 monthly international plan over and above the basic plan which works fine too since my husband has the basic plan but more cautious regarding data and voice. In summary, I am very happy we made the switch from Verizon and are saving $50 per month!

Yes they do. You need to take two shuttles one to the terminal and one to the town.
Thanks. Appreciate your help!

Hello, we will be in Corfu on the Azamara Pursuit on Wednesday, October 19. Does Azamara or the port provide a shuttle into Old Town Corfu? We were planning on a taxi tour of the island but think we may rather just walk around the town for a few hours.

We can't do the impossible. But there is posted evidence here that Azamara has dropped the requirement, and published rules from other cruise lines that they have dropped the requirement. There is still time before your cruise for Azamara to update its published materials on this issue, but if not – keep checking Cruise Critic for reports from the Piraeus departures between now and your cruise. That's what we're here for!
Post #71 from Missminnie on the September 27 Quest Greece cruise says they did not require a Covid test to board the ship in Athens. Sounds good!

For those boarding in Athens. No testing required for the return voyages that disembark in Athens [which seems backwards to me, but what do I know?]
Hoping they drop the testing requirement before our cruise October 29th. It does seem backward!
