  1. Just wondering whether to resurrect the upgrade spreadsheet which I haven’t updated since March 23 when the upgrade system disappeared. As it now seems to be back, would people find the spreadsheet helpful or not. If you would find it useful then please start posting the following upgrade information. - bid date - cruise date - cruise length - loyalty level - minimum bid required for upgrade (in US$) - total amount bid (in US$) - cabin type initially booked - cabin type bid for - final bid cost per night (in US$) - bid strength - outcome (successful or not) - cruise region - any other useful information (E.g when told about outcome) Here’s a link to it.   3. We’ll be on Onward for the first time in September. Could someone post a photo of the chairs, so we know what to expect.
  4. I think it’s the same thing as only world voyage passengers will be onboard as I understand it.

  8. Yes, we had Botanist on Pursuit.
  9. These drinks package prices are now showing on their website.
  10. And if you buy an experience more package that can add extra bags (we had 7 on our last 18 day cruise - but only used 5). In addition they usually have a laundry offer of $40 for a bag, and there is a free self service laundry (washing machines, dryers & irons & ironing boards) including detergent.
  11. Yes you do get the upgraded starlink Wifi. We had an Indulgence package on our recent cruise and our Wifi was good (apart from the first two days when we were told they were testing the systems - even the future cruise managers Wifi was poor on those two days)

  13. Quite agree about likely numbers not reporting it and that a high number of people suffered from it. On the other hand most people we spoke to said they were fine after 24 hours, and that was certainly our experience. A few like you were poorly for longer, but seemed to be in the minority. I was OK, my husband had it for a few hours, but immodium stopped it - no antibiotics. He was quarantined for the last day. I wonder if there were 2 separate things - SA water causing a little bit of a GI upset, and some sort of virus causing longer illness and needing antibiotics to clear it. Interesting to hear that now the bottled water has been changed, everything seems to be back to normal.

  15. Our hotel in Cape Town told us it was not safe to drink the tap water!
  16. So we probably never sailed on a ship with passenger cabins on Deck 3.
  17. When was that, I don’t remember seeing them, but maybe it was before we sailed on Azamara or maybe I didn’t notice them.

  19. Anyone on Pursuit now - how are things? Is the pool open and self service back? Any reports of GI issues?
  20. I haven’t actually commented on this topic as I don’t really have a view on it! I’ve not been sent the email so haven”t had to think about it
  21. On the cruise we’ve just finished we found that the speciality restaurants didn’t stick strictly to the booked times. We booked 8pm as our preference is to eat at about 7:30. Every time we went up at round about 7:30 and were seated straight away
  22. On the single page we did there was no question about recognising crew. The only free form section was after the last question on the page and only asked why you gave the score you gave for recommending Azamara to others, nothing else.
  23. Definitely not the two brands we had on Pursuit, they were both South African brands. If it was the water, it must have only been some of the bottles. I drank lots of both brands and had no problems.
