  1. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us again! We have had those middle 2 pool cabanas a couple times - love it! I always look at other excursions (rented a jeep our first time on the island), but have stuck with the cabana since then!
  2. There is a thalasotherapy pool - but more the size of a hot tub... Nice view over the ocean too!
  3. Love the thermal suite on Horizon! Which ever way you choose, you will enjoy the spa!
  4. It is also longer when returning from a long hot port day.
  5. I usually take a small fan too. I recommend packing it in your checked luggage.
  6. Same experience for our upcoming Celebration sailing. Last year on MG, Carnival Kitchen did not get loaded online until about 30 days prior to sailing... We will all keep on checking every day I suppose...LOL!
  7. Thank you for sharing your vaca with us! We will be on board Celebration in just a short 30 weeks from now... Love seeing the pictures!
  8. We purchased the thermal suite on MG last summer - loved it! Those heated loungers are wonderful - as well as the hot tub thing in the center! Planning to purchase for Celebration this coming summer too...
  9. Thank you for sharing your vaca with us all! Looking forward to being on Celebration next summer!!
  10. Thanks for sharing your vaca with us all! I especially enjoyed your review of Aruba and Curacao, we will be going there (and Bonaire) this coming summer for the first time. We were thinking of doing the tour on aruba you shared, but it seems like several places are just ruins of nice things to see from the past. I think we will stick to going to the beach, just need to decide Eagle or Baby - or maybe both! Long day at port...
  11. No USB-C ports in the cabin at all. Bring an adapter...
  12. We sailed Mardi Gras last summer, the Carnival Kitchen did not populate until about 6 weeks prior. Keep checking! as I will be for our Celebration sailing next July! enjoy and share a trip report when you return!
  13. How did it work out with the golf cart rental? By any chance, did you see 4 seaters available?
  14. I agree - Those new machines with the beans on top do a much better job than the older machines on older ships that use the bag of liquid concentrate. The lido coffee on Mardi Gras was just fine. Although if you want the specialty coffees - i.e. capachino, machiato, etc..., Java Blue is the place to go.
  15. Thanks for sharing your vaca with us again! Looking forward to being on Celebration in July!!!
  16. On our b2b, both 7 day sailings, last year, we got the 250 applied to the second sailing as well.
  17. If it is not too late, here is another good italian option. If you have ever seen Lydia on PBS, this is her NYC restaurant. Been there a few times, and her place in Pittsburgh several times, (which is now closed...). https://www.becco-nyc.com/
  18. My wife went through a similar situation on our Horizon sailing a few years ago. She shared with our server her intolerance for a few ingredients. While the intolerance happens when those couple of ingredients are uncooked, and it varies day by day, some days there is no issue, other days there is an issue. But no issues when those ingredients are cooked. They had difficulty understanding the details, similar to your details the way you described them. Almost all of her dishes were prepared individually for her, and they were rough. After the first evening of that, she did not mention it again, and if those ingredients were on a dish, and were raw - like in a salad - she left them on the plate.
  19. Anyone know of a company that rents golf carts on Bonaire that will seat 3 people?
  20. We have stayed on board a couple times at Nassau. Loved having the ship "to ourselves" very much. Or very nearly anyway... Those were great afternoons at the pool not having to jockey for space for sure!
  21. Interesting observation! I looked in my cruise manager too - looks like tips are at the $14.50 rate for us too, for a sailing next summer... Going to try to prepay and lock in that rate too! Thanks for sharing with us all!
  22. What were your elegant nights on your sailing? We are doing the 8 day ABC on Celebration next summer... Thanks!!
  23. We found Carnival to be more fun, geared toward a younger crowd with families. Many options for activities/entertainment. Late to bed, later to rise. Our one Celebrity sailing, we found it to be an older crowd (overall), fewer activities, certainly not a funship, early to bed and early to rise type of crowd. Finishes on the ship are more elegant. Food plated nicer, but not really better (at least in our experience.) This was 10 years ago though. Perhaps when the little ones are not cruising with us, when we are older, we will try Celebrity again...
  24. We did a car rental once, but we had a few days added on the front end of the trip... Last year we hired a limo, while the experience was fantastic, it was just higher than 200... But we got to the port in about 50 minutes, rolled right up to luggage drop off, The driver handled all the luggage shuffling. walked across the street and went right in with no line. Was onboard MG by 11AM. That ease was worth the cost for us. With all that covid on board credit we had - over 2K..., we just bought the carnival bus transport to get back to MCO. Walked outside the terminal, right onto the bus. We had a later flight, so we did not worry about getting to MCO in a rush either. Was very simple.
  25. Well look who’s here! so glad you are sharing another epic adventure! thanks for sharing your vacation with us once again!
