But then, my address and DOB changed again. Once again got it corrected, and then once again, it changed. It has now been fine for probably about a month. They had no rationale why this was happening, but it all followed the changes they my to the account area. 

     

    Hope yours  remains unchanged!!

    I changed it back then changed my password. We shall see.

    Glad I found this thread.   We were booked on the 12/20/20 Quest Antarctica cruise which has now been moved forward to '21, thankfully still on the Quest and identical itinerary as the itinerary on the new expedition ship coming onboard next year (?) is quite different along with the price.   Personally I give Seabourn a lot of credit for pulling this off and think it is a good way to handle a cruise cancellation.

     

    At this point we plan to stay booked for next year, but are debating the risk of seizing the "pay in full by 9/30" for a 10% price savings.  Our TA told us in essence "Seabourn has made this kind of offer for a long time".   Having not sailed with Seabourn previously we have no idea if the agent is merely meaning it has been offered for months this year or has Seabourn actually had this kind of promotion from time to time over the years?   We pointed out to the agent that 10% is a heck of a return for us and very expensive financing for Seabourn.  Thus we question just why they are offering this 10% savings.  ie trolling for money from one customer far in advance of sailing in order to pay for current outstanding refunds?   

     

    Having been one of the competitor cruise line customers waiting for refunds from "C" and following that refund thread we know there is much speculation that may be what some of the companies are doing.   The big issue of course being concern about a company not making it through this massive financial hit.   

     

    Having read the last 5 pages of this thread it sounds as though SB refunds are being processed albeit some quite slow.   Or am I missing something?  

     

     

     

     

    I believe they have only offered the 10 percent this year due to the pandemic.  I think it has been on their website for a few months. Holland America has the same offer . Both end on 9/30. It truly is a personal decision. We shall see if they extend it after 9/30. 


  3. Both HAL and Seabourn used to do a top 10 sale periodically. These are flash fares for sailings that are leaving soon. Not called standby though. However, I haven't seen these sales lately as there are no current sailings.

    Today, Seabourn announced that it will cancel additional voyages for three cruise ships in its fleet as a part of its pause in global ship operations.
    The announcement applies to Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Encore, and Seabourn Quest with each ship having a different “effective through” date. Specific details are as follows:
    •Seabourn Ovation: with its operations pause effective through January 3, 2021
    •Seabourn Encore: with its operations pause effective through January 6, 2021
    •Seabourn Quest: with its operations pause effective through May 10, 2021
    Seabourn is also announcing a revised delivery date for its new ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition ship, Seabourn Venture, which is now scheduled for December 1, 2021. The delay is because of shipyard closures at T. Mariotti earlier this year as part of responses to COVID-19, which resulted in disruptions to the overall construction and finishing process for the ship.

    Also assessing the Odyssey Caribbean season. 


  5. I was booked on the 7/26/2021 Rotterdam Greenland cruise. Got the notice it was cancelled, got my deposit back as an FCC.  Used the FCC already to book another cruise. The cruise is still showing up in my bookings.  Called and they said it has been cancelled. Can still go in and book excursions, etc. Not sure why the delay in removing it from my bookings.

    This sounds like the casino rate offer that I received. If they check with their PCC or TA they may find they are also eligible for  $250 in casino play plus free drinks while in the casino. The offer of casino play must be redeemed in the casino. They should have received an email or offer in the mail with the details.

    So, yesterday they got the casino rate of $100 for an oceanview cabin with $100 in casino play.

    So I emailed the club. Three days later my preferences were corrected. Then today, all links say opted out. I corrected the preferences, and to my surprise, it worked. HAL and Seabourn need to improve there web platform.
