  1. Finally settled TODAY but not via CCL providing the refund directly to me. My credit card company settled it via a dispute I raised.
  2. Around March 24th we applied for a full refund for a May 21st Radiance cruise out of Barcelona. I've contacted CCL, filed a credit card dispute and still waiting for our 4 cabin refund. It's been 126 days and they are still making interest off of our $12K!!!! Ridiculous!!!
  3. UGH... All I know is my credit card statement says the payment was made to Carnival Cruise Lines from my bank so if CCL is using a thrid party company, you're right, another layer of nonsense. I'll leave it to my bank to get the money back now. I've had enough of CCL and their excuses for not refunding us in a more timely manner.
  4. My family and I had 4 cabins on the Radiance for the May 21st, 2020 sailing totaling over $12k. We immediately requested a refund once CCL sent out the cancellation letter. 3 of the 4 cabins are for Platinum cruisers (just to let you know that we obviously do not get any preferential treatment) and as of a couple weeks ago, we still hadn't received any refunds and then getting a response from a CCL PVP saying it could take much longer than 90 days.   5. Thanks!!! I filed the dispute against Air Canada with my credit card company and I was advised today that they won the dispute for me and my card was credited the full amount for all 3 round trip tickets from Toronto to and from Barcelona. Kudos to Synchrony Bank!
  6. I recently read somewhere where Canadian law just came up with a policy due to the COVID-19 pandemic saying the airline could in fact give out vouchers. Our travel insurance was for cancellations due to illness, loss of job, etc. standard reasons but did not include "cancel for any reason" clauses. The insurance company quickly sent out mail saying "sorry but..." We are only 1.5 hours from Toronto by car and could get direct flights to Barcelona for less than half the price as compared to Buffalo.   7. All I can hear in my head is the Canadian national anthem and thinking "Oh Canada..." I'll just hope Mastercard puts up a good enough fight! I booked this trip for a very specific reason and going over seas within the next 2 years doesn't fit into my family's plans. This was the perfect time for everyone and now I might have to take a loss because corporate bureaucracy finds it acceptable to keep customer funds to help their bottom line? My family members who were to fly on Norwegian and Lufthansa from Toronto to Barcelona were told they would receive full refunds due to the flight cancellations. Air Canada however, like you said, are refusing to give refunds and They CANCELLED my flight reservation. Air Canada is also being really shady telling folks to go into their system and cancel your reservation to get the voucher but I said NO because I did not cancel...THEY did! I don't want them to be able to say that I cancelled so am bound to the terms of me actually cancell

  10. I had 4 reservations on the Radiance for May 21 and opted for the full refund on March 24th. Good thing I called last week as they only had 3 of the 4 cabins being cancelled. They at least fixed that but still gave me the old "up to 90 days" for a refund response. Hopefully they process them all at the same time! Still awaiting the dispute resolution for Air Canada cancelling our flights but refusing to refund our money (vouchers only). That's annoying!
  11. Well good for American Airlines...Air Canada cancelled my flight to and from Barcelona and they are saying they will only issue vouchers. What looks shady is that their instructions tell you to go into the web-site and cancel the flight. I refuse to do so because I am not the one cancelling, THEY are! They are no longer responding to my e-mails!
