  1. You’re right, not the same class so in that respect I can’t compare but, IMO, I prefer Equinox over the Oasis class so if I can get a cheaper price with all the perks and a balcony, I get excited.😂 Sherri🙂
  2. True, but in July I was able to book a balcony on Celebrity Equinox, 7 night, with gratuities, beverage package, WiFi, and $600 OBC. It was a few dollars cheaper than an inside room on Harmony for the same time period. Only perk was dinner for two in a specialty restaurant and $50 OBC. Which do you think I chose?😂 Sherri🙂
  3. That’s what we did!😂. Once we reached 500 points, we decided to give Celebrity another try and have switched back and forth ever since. We still love cruising but it’s just a nice change to be on a different cruise line. Sherri🙂
  4. We were in Aqua class for our Infinity cruise in November, this was our first time to do Aqua and I would not choose it again just to eat in Blu. The service was very good but the food was just ok, nothing special as many of the menu items were the same dishes I have had in the MDR . The tables were very close together which made me somewhat uncomfortable. We went each evening between 8 and 830, and had to wait anywhere from few minutes to 15, we were given a pager that night. The wine steward was amazing, though, much better service than in the MDR. Sherri🙂
  5. It’s what I would have expected if we had been on a Royal ship😂. I felt sorry for all of the kids on Infinity as there doesn’t seem much for them to do. Just the pools and hot tubs, I heard one parent complaining at guest services that the kids club was overwhelmed. Sherri🙂
  6. We did the 4 night cruise on Infinity the week of Thanksgiving. Never have I seen so many kids on a Celebrity ship, we were told there were 450+. Pool deck was a wild and crazy place.😂 Very difficult to find a chair there or in the Solarium. Are the shorter cruises on Celebrity always like this or was it just related to the holiday? Sherri🙂
  7. As long as I can handle my suitcase and keep it under the weight limit if we are flying, then I don’t see a need to limit what I take. While I wear pants/jeans/capris multiple times, I don’t rewear tops but then, I don’t rewear them at home either.😂And the only laundry I have done on a ship is gym clothes. Our longest cruise was 46 days and I managed to take enough tops/tshirts to wear on port days and some for evenings and did not rewear or wash any. Sherri🙂
  8. We usually see a few dolphins at Port Canaveral but, otherwise, it’s rare for us to see them at sea. I hope you have better luck! Sherri🙂
  9. I was only replying to your post #70 in which you quoted me. Sorry if you felt “corrected” Sherri🙂
  10. I wasn’t talking about the last pin, just the D+🙄 Sherri🙂
  11. Not sure, ours was a4 day on Infinity and I don’t remember if anything was dropped. If it was, I did not miss it.😂 Sherri🙂
  12. Not necessarily, my husband checked with the LA on several ships when he wanted to get the D+ pins but was told to call C&A when we got home as they did not have any. He called, they were supposed to be mailed but did not get them.😂 Sherri🙂
  13. We saw a Journey tribute band on Equinox in July and they weren’t bad. The guitarist was really good. People seemed to be enjoying the show and the theater was full, even to the end. They did another show in the Centrum one night and it was packed also. Sherri🙂
  14. We never got our D+ pins and I have no idea where any of the others are. I think my husband may have worn his D pin once or twice on his lapel jacket. 😂 Sherri🙂
  15. We enjoy both Royal and Celebrity but, IMO, the two are more similar than different, especially when you compare service and food. Celebrity offers more selections in the buffet and MDR but I tend to like Royal’s food better. I also prefer Royal’s specialty restaurants over Celebrity’s although the coffee shop on Celebrity wins. Entertainment is tops on Royal, in fact, I think Royal is a much better line if you are taking children. Our recent Infinity cruise during TG week had over 450 children on it and the ship seemed overwhelmed. Overall, IMO, Celebrity has a different feel to it than Royal. More sedate, maybe? I think if I had to describe each in one word, Royal would be fun and Celebrity would be relaxing. One last thing, Celebrity has some really uncomfortable furniture in the lounges and even in the cabins. We cruised on Equinox after the revitalization and they still had the same chairs in the Starlight lounge. The few times we went to the Captain’s Club, we stayed only a short time due to the chairs. And the fake leather couch in our cabin was just as bad!🙂 Sherri🙂
