Thanks everyone for the inputs. I guess we will need to go through the standard line since we won't be paying or signing our son up for Global Entry just for this cruise.

I had really good luck taking inflatable paddleboards on cruises for years but in 2017 we had a struggle with one so we stopped doing it.
What rules changed and when?
Due to an "incident" with a inflatable paddleboard back in 2016 they were barred from being allowed to come on board. Due to pending litigations I can not disclose more detail.
(just kidding, I have no idea why they would be banned) 🙂

My wife and I both have Global Entry which allows us to use the expedite line at customs (at the end of the cruise). Does anyone know if our 14 yo. will be allowed to go through the line with us, or do we all have to go through the standard customs line?

2) the other issue we had SEVERAL times was asking a bartender for a specific type of liquor in your drink, and having them use the cheap well liquor instead. The would make mango daiquiris or other frozen drinks and instead of Bacardi, they’d put in that nasty cheap brown rum.
continued...
You do realize that Bacardi makes a brown/dark rum also (Specifically Bacardi Gold)? So, if you just ask for a "Bacardi and X", your basically just asking for a brand and not specifically the Silver or clear Bacardi (Bacardi Superior). Brown/dark rum doesn't automatically mean its cheap rum. There are some brown rum's that are much more expensive than Bacardi rum's.
If you don't believe me about Bacardi and brown rum, here is the full list of Bacardi Rum's: https://www3.bacardi.com/us/en/our-rum

Hopefully they come up with more variety of itineraries out of Galveston. Lack of variations is why we end up going out of Florida usually.

Having just experienced this last month, I agree with you 100%.
But its a "Freeport!" :)

Don't forget:
When you take your car to the repair shop and refer to the drivers side as Port and the trunk as Aft.
When you get up in the middle of the night and run into the corner of your matress because its not curved.

9618?? never again! it depends on who has that cabin and what they are doing.....we'll never book it again...and some of my roll call pals who had it on 2 future cruises changed it to the one they had at the end of the hump. we tried earplugs...they didn't help.
i will say that at least in the JS under the WJ we had, the noise wasn't constant...it was like rolling carts at weird times of day...and the deck chair noise WAS around 4-5 in the AM but we didn't hear that every day.
out of 8 cruises we've heard noise on 3 of them from above and 1 from below (that was an aft JS on enchantment that was over the karaoke bar!)
We have stayed twice in 9618 on the AOS and we were either lucky or just didn't notice any noise from the RS above. I think the plan is just do so much during the day that you are exhausted at night and sleep like a rock! :)

I don't think I've seen this listed in the past 12 pages, but one aspect of this is also it allows RCCL to capture data on what people are willing to pay for different categories. Its a great market data gathering tool which can explain possibly the sold out sailings still getting the emails to see what people are willing to bid on upgrades.
