  1. You're in the YC...you can check in when you want. We have also had an "assigned 3pm" check-in time...1030 it was for us! No problems! Welcome to the YC! 😁
  2. Looks to be a 12' table, not bad. 5/4/3 odds are decent. To me, it shows more commitment by MSC to the American market. I know we always book through the casino dept (and then transfer to our travel agent for another 10% obc), and this development would earn even more of my loyalty as a craps enthusiast. Currently, I play 3-card poker up until I hit enough points for the 30% my next cruise, then I stop playing...usu about the 3d or 4th night in. With this, I would enjoy myself more for the whole cruise!
  3. Wow, that towel in the pic looks just like some of the towels in my linen closet! (I'm such a bad person!)😁
  4. As a "gaming enthusiast," I appreciate how I can use my TA's OBC towards Casino play for free on MSC (no 3% surcharge), unlike my personal experience on NCL where I would be charged 3% for charging casino credit to my room account. So, between paying for my DSC's for the cabin and my DW's penny slots time, we NEVER have unused OBC! 🤣 More like "subsidized entertainment."
  5. Hanging on every vacation word...!!! I'm 1 1/2 years out from full retirement and the cruise life, so this message board is my therapy.
  6. Yesss! Another Poop Deck review! Just poured a glass of Pinot Grigio and kicked my feet up...
  7. I think you can find some youtube videos to get a good idea of the casinos. I do enjoy the generous casino comps on MSC, though. I always get enough points playing the tables to earn a 30% off my next cruise which makes sailing in the Yacht Club very affordable. You do have to use it within 9 months, though. My wife plays penny slots and usually earns one as well.
  8. Suicide, back in Feb. OMG. So tragic. This hurts on so many levels...
  9. Same here...what happened to Gene? Had several lengthy chats with him on a couple of cruises.
  10. What I did see is the parking deck is on the same side as the terminal, so no playing Frogger crossing the street with your luggage like the current parking deck!
  11. Yacht Club is a ship within a ship design. You must book either an interior or a balcony or a royal suite within the YC to experience all it has to offer. The Haven on NCL does have cabins outside the Haven which include access to the Haven areas. To my knowledge, the cabins on MSC ships with YC are all inside the YC area...can someone more knowledgeable confirm that? We used to sail NCL Haven, but got priced out of it...value for the cost-wise. MSC YC is our go-to now!
  12. Last time in PR, we did a Segway tour...I thought my sister-in-law would shoot lasers from her eyes straight through me while we were in the training area trying to learn how to ride them. Then, off we went and what fun it was!! Got to cover so much more area that way. 50+ cruises, never had a tour return us late. We make sure the operator knows what time we have to be back on board prior to departure, fwiw. When is your cruise? If it's around next April/May, I wonder if the lack of posted excursions is tied into the closure of Ocean Caye for renovations perhaps??
  13. I'm surprised about MSC (non-YC) not having 1 dining room open for embarkation lunch. My comment about doing the dining room on embarkation day to avoid the buffet crowds comes from our many cruises on NCL and Royal which do have 1 dining room open for that purpose. We usually had to ask a staff member to direct us to the right dining room as it was not readily advertised. Again, have only sailed YC on MSC (and luv EVERY spoiled minute of it!), so I made an assumption. Interesting.
  14. For my crew, this is usually the one day we go to the dining room for lunch so we avoid the lines at the buffet while everyone is waiting for the all clear that rooms are ready. Much more relaxed this way. (Disclaimer: on MSC, we've only sailed YC, so there are no crowds, but when we sail Royal, this is what we do).
  15. Found our shade pic from April last year on the Seashore YC pool deck by the air intake:
  16. Well, if you mean Ocean Cay, that is the price for 2 people on 1 wave runner for a full hour. You get the option to switch halfway in some shallow water, if you choose. When you compare the price to a rental at a Cozumel beach club, it's comparable. We did it last year and already have it booked again for next year! One thing we learned is you don't know your time slot until the day before arrival at Ocean Cay, so be flexible with any other plans (like lunchtime for us).
  17. On the Seashore, she has an expanded YC pool deck area vs the Seaside so you can move your chairs up next to the "funnel" (it's not an engine funnel, but more of an air intake) down the side of the pool deck area and have plenty of shade. We had 5 loungers all in a row, no problem.
  18. Thank you so much for this review, for some reason, I do not find many reviews on the Divina. I know this is an older review and I had to do a CC search to even find it, but glad I did. We are sailing MSC Divina in April 2024 in the YC. We have only sailed MSC in the YC on their newest ships...Seaside 2X, Seashore, and Meraviglia and have been both spoiled and converted from NCL's Haven and from Royal. For the price and the level of service, we just find it is truly a vacation worth saving up for! On Ocean Cay, we have splurged each time for a YC cabana as DW is a shade chaser. She enjoys having the ceiling fan and the chilled prosecco waiting upon our arrival. Our last visit, we had the jet ski tour booked and it was scheduled during lunch time. Our butler said no problem, he let the butler at Ocean House know to take our lunch order and had it delivered to our cabana for when we got back from our excursion...over-the-top service! I was wondering how the YC on an "older" ship would compare, but this review has put those concerns to rest...again, thank you!
  19. I have so enjoyed your trip report. It's helped keep me in Vacay mode as the school year starts back up (I'm a teacher now). I am so glad you got to experience the YC treatment! We used to sail NCL Haven before it got priced out of our pocketbook range, so we're enjoying the YC while we can still afford to! YC disembarkation is a treat as well, right past the lines! Then you're off on I-95, or as I call it "NASCAR for Tourists!" I despise that drive so much. Yuck.
  20. I think I would have a blast cruising with you and your Mom...Kindred Spirits, along with all the spirits!!! Grey Goose Martinis for me 🙂
  21. Dang Girl, you're taking it to the next level with this idea! Have not thought of putting the lobster meat on the burger...adding that to my menu list in April now!
  22. Ask yourself, are you having fun? Are you on a cruise and not at work? Then YES, u r winning no matter the +/- 🙂 FWIW, I play the table games and have come home with some os MSC's $$ each time. I pinch myself like, "so, they're paying me to be on their cruise?!" Plus the 30% off your next cruise voucher from the Casino makes it well worth it every cruise!
  23. I LOVE your selfie! How fun-looking and shows you are truly enjoying your YC experience!! I usually order 2 lobster rolls and a salad. Then I scoop the lobster meat out and put it on my salad and voila'! I just find the actual rolls to be too much bread going on. I do wish they would freshen up the Ocean House menu, but that is definitely a "first world problem" as my kids would tell me LOL
