  1. Going 3 days early and may want to book same place.
  2. My wife and I are not water people )swimming, snorkeling, etc) but love being on teh water. Zodiacs are fine, kayaks not so much. So my question is are there lots of other opportunities for those of us that don't want to literally dip our toe in the waters? I am assuming lots of boat rides and shore activities as well. And I assume there is no bad time to go there due to its location close to the equator.
  3. Having never sailed on SS, is there a sushi restaurant on all ships or just certain ones? We are on the Quest for 24 days in February 22. Or if there is not a specialty sushi restaurant, do they have sushi available at some of the other restaurants? TIA
  4. Glad to see Rudi is alive and kicking even if he is no longer with SS. He had to leave the ship afew nights before our voyage ended due to health issues.
  5. In 2013 we sailed from Lisbon to Porstmouth on the Explorer as it was making its way from the Antarctica season northward to the Arctic season. All I can say is wow. We had a sommelier from Italy onboard, a cheesemonger from London, Doamine Chandon CEO, a lady that had worked side x side with Julia Child, two historians (a WWII expert, and a Renaissance Religious expert) as well as two renowned chefs, the current culinary expert with Silversea (David ???) and Rudy (???) from Relais and Chateau, as well as David's wife joining mid cruise (she was a professor at Le Cordon Bleu in London). Oh
  6. Interesting the website for CCL says to send it to CCLshareholderSBN@seabourn.com I tried that twice with no response so sending to the email you furnished. Hopefully better results.
  7. Seabourn has the Thomas Keller (think French Laundry) inspired restaurant at no upcharge. PAX are limited to once per week dining.
  8. We dined there on the Wind back in 2014 at La Dame and I wasn't overly impressed, especially having to pay for the meal at $60 pp. I didn't really care for it. Looking for different opinions for a Shadow cruise in August and whether I should change my mind and give it one more try. Opinions please,
  9. Good catch. Yes circumnavigating.
  10. We rolled over our Tromso-Reykjavik suite to the same category on the new Shadow Itin circumventing Iceland. What happens is that suite category does not become available? Are we upgraded or what happens? TIA
  11. I thought 15% but someone on another board says only 5%. TIA
  12. So we are considering receiving a refund as an option for Tromso-Reykjavik that was cancelled. Our TA advised us SS wants a $200 fee to get a refund on a cruise they cancelled. That just doesn't seem right to me. The $200 is applicable to a future cruise.
  13. Hi all. Our Tromso-Reykjavik cruise got cancelled for August. Looking at options. There is a Med/Middle East BTB cruise Athens-Athens-Dubai. There is a 15% discount for BTB cruises, but shouldn't my 115% FCC also apply here? The cruise is in October. TIA.
