  1. We booked back in May I think. I just checked a couple days ago and it was still inexpensive around $160. Do not go through Laquinta website call the place direct. It's much higher on the website.
  2. There is a small fee around $10. but that was a couple of years ago.
  3. Were also staying there in January and only paying $160. for a king room. We've stayed there twice before. The free shuttle is great and you can also get a shuttle to the cruise port in the morning. The room and property are nice. Free breakfast is very good by go early for a table. Lots of people waiting for transportation use this as their lounge area. There are homeless people living in the area. If you walk to a restaurant you will see evidence of this. Didn't feel unsafe walking but make sure you pay attention to your surroundings. Were going to have food delivered for our evening meal or eat at the airport before we arrve.
  4. We have stayed there twice and have it booked again for January 2024. It's a nice clean place, free airport shuttle and a decent breakfast. They will even arrange shuttle to the cruise port. Rooms are spacious with fridge and microwave. Pool and hot tub outside. For the cost it's worth it.
  5. Before our Alaska cruise last August we purchased Nikon Aculon's at Best Buy. Can't remember the exact price but think they were around $30 each. They are 3.5" by 3.5" and very lightweight. They are 10X21 and don't take up much room. Comes with lens caps and a cloth bag. Work great.
  6. It is a clean decent place to stay. The website has pictures of the rooms, lobby, breakfast area and pool and whirlpool outside. Our stay in January will be our third time there. Nice pond outside the Hotel. Go to breakfast early as people like to wait for pickup taking up all the seats in the breakfast area. Also sign up for the shuttle on arrival. If I remember correctly it was $10 each. The shuttle may also be able to take you to a restaurant for dinner.
  7. Check out the LaQuinta Airport. It's a decent place with free airport pickup and free breakfast. They also arrange transport to cruise port. We're staying there in January 2024. You can book direct through the hotel rather than their website. Much less expensive.
  8. Hello we were on the Ruby last August to Alaska. There were no puppies! There were 3 or 4 adult dogs. It was way overcrowded and not worth the time and effort. It was just a money making photo opportunity for the ship. Don't get your hopes up to much. We were really disappointed.
  9. We are staying at the LaQuinta Airport on 26th Ave. Great price with free airport shuttle and a decent breakfast included. They do arrange shuttle to the port for reasonable fee (I think $20 for both of us). We’re staying there for the 3rd time in January 2024.
  10. I surprised my wife with this 4 years ago on the Regal Princess. It was worth every penny. She received a beautiful bouquet that she still talks about. The ship had a photographer and videographer that documented everything. It was very special and personal and the ceremony was done by the Captain. Also included was a bottle of bubbly, two glasses, choc dipped strawberries, box of chocolates and framed 8 X 10 we got to pick. My only complaint was my wife loved the pics so we ended up buying the package but well worth it. I wanted to surprise her on the ship by after watching a couple of YouTube videos decided to tell her based on how people were dressed. She was very happy as she would not have had the right shoes, dress etc. Go for it you will have nothing but pleasant memories. Also it was just the two of us and ship staff. Very personal. Plus the Captain gave us a tour of the bridge.
  11. The left side of the ship is the port side and right side is starboard. On the ships we have been on port is even and starboard is odd.
