  1. The best butler we had was in a CS . We were next to the penthouse and hebzawould leave us the afternoon and post dinner treats he was taking to the Penthouse. We had dinner on the balcony one evening , served course by course. As we were finishing the main course he fought us another bottle wine “ you may want this for another evening”. Then as he was leaving to get the dessert he asked if we would like a after dinner drink. The worst butler we have had was in a Royal Suite.
  2. I think the TA will have to do it. In years past there was a place on the website where you could waitlist dining, change the bed configuration and add a special occasion but I don’t see that any longer.
  3. We always tell our cabin attendant.
  4. When you board there will be a listing of all the perks for your level as well as events with day, time and location. Different ships have different bars. So HH bars can vary by ship and by number of Elite and above.
  5. How many depends on the size of the garments. My sister & BIL are 5’2 and 5’ 4 and weight 102 and 130 respectively. They get a lot more in the bag than we do at 5’7 and 5’11 weight 146 and 205.
  6. The CS’s on the slant have very large balconies. We loved having dinner on the balcony while docked in Aruba.
  7. Cafe Al Bacio also closes at midnight and the Lounge is only staffed until 11 or midnight. I would hate to be a Butler covering 20+ Sky Suites and if even 50% requested coffee delivered from Cafe Al Bacio between 6:15 and 7:45.
  8. On S class ships I have only seen the coffee station/ Hideway on Reflection and Silhouette.
  9. Celebrity was removing loungers and the chairs with foot restfrom balconies last year ( safety issue). From what have read it has been somewhat inconsistent. I was on the Ascent January, 2024 our SV had 2 loungers plus the small table and chairs. We were on the Beyond in January and our SV had 1 lounger plus table and chairs. The SV next to only had table and chairs.
  10. Did you receive a notification from Celebrity of delay in boarding? Normally when there is a situation that could warrant some reimbursements that info is outlined in the written notification.
  11. Just checked my account to see if the most recent PUP had been added. It was and CC points are correct, however it now shows the number of past cruises as 45. Thats down 3 from last week which was off by 1. 🙄
  12. There was a different system for earning points back then. This is from the website at the very bottom of the list of past cruises.
  13. The excursion cost or any other add on will be refunded to your credit card if that is how you paid. If you paid with OBC then the price will be restored to OBC. But when you cancel the OBC is gone. So either way your are back where you started.
  14. There is no 20% gratuity added to the drinks with either the Classic or Premium beverage package. If someone got a suite upgrade through Move up and didn’t already have a beverage package then they will be charged the price of the drink on the Sun Deck &Luminae. If they had the Classic package and won a Move Up to a Suite and ordered a drink above the Classic package they would be charged the difference between the Classic package limit and the drink price + 20% on the difference . If they booked a Suite from the get go then they have the Premium beverage package included and that includes the gratuity.
  15. No the price is pp pd. You could allow someone to use one of your wi-fi log-on. I’m pretty sure that everyone in the cabin must purchase PA or no one can ( with the exception of very young children.
  16. The poster is on the Reflection which only has 1 MDR, 2 levels. One level is traditional dining the other level is for Select.
  17. Met lots of crew over the years, some who stay in touch. We are also on the Silhouette in about a week. I’m sure we will know Officers, bartenders, cabin attendants, concierge and security staff who have made a difference in our cruises. Personally knowing ahead of time who is on board takes the fun out of them recognizing us and vice versa.
  18. I went through a period of not being able to walk far and still can’t make it up long inclines or more than 1 flight of stairs. Prior to my limited walking we were in a SS on the Apex located behind the mid ship ( aft) elevators). For us it is a perfect location and we have booked the same location for our Xcel cruise. We use the Retreat Lounge and Sun Deck, but are not Luminae fans or care about shows in the theater. When we though about were we go most it was places like the MDRs, specially restaurants, Cafe Al Bacio, Eden, Oceanview, Martini Bar, Craft Social and the Club. Mid ship for us.
  19. I haven’t seen life jackets in the cabins lately. They give them to you when you get to the muster station in a real emergency.
  20. I think @miched post may help set realistic expectations. There are frequent posts saying I’m Elite ….., or Elite +…. and I had to wait in line ( should have priority). forgot to cancel excursion ( shouldn’t have to pay), call switch sailings and they wanted to charge $100 pp. Elite and above get some nice tangible benefits ( drinks, laundry, internet minutes). But when everyone is special no one is special.
  21. Sounds to me like the person you asked may have understood your question to relate to cabin categories. Pre status match there were far fewer Z’s so unless you specifically asked about Z’s they may haven’t thought about that. We did a number of cruises where there were less than 10 Zeniths and half in a suite.
  22. That’s true but I always put them on the suitcases. Costs nothing and better safe than sorry .
  23. There are straws available in bars, buffet, restaurants. There was a time when they used a paper straw that was useless. They have change to a straw that isn’t plastic but also doesn’t fall apart.
