We make a point of checking with the Cabin Attendant to make sure we are on his Go Green list. We have always gotten the points.

Call Celebrity and they can help you. The others will need to purchase the zero proof package.

Will Murano still be best Restaurant On Solstice?
jelayne replied to Cruise Junky's topic in Celebrity Cruises
IMO if they replaced or changed Murano it would be a mistake. There are a lot of folks who don’t like the E class and the restaurants on those ships. While we love the E class ships we prefer Murano over the any Eclass restaurants. -

Venturing BEYOND the Haven - First Celebrity Retreat Cruise
jelayne replied to Lupush's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You will have a Butler who can make reservations for you once onboard, as can the Retreat Concierges who are located in the Retreat Lounge. I thought I had read that the Beyond was one of the ships that allows for pre booking reservations for the UDP, not all ships have that capability yet. Have you tried booking reservations on line? Celebrity generally doesn’t have a lot of kids on board, August may have more. They children’s program activities get good reviews. I have not seen many children in the Retreat Sun Deck 0 pool is small, better for sitting on the side dangling feet in the water or standing in the water. I do vividly recall one cruise where there were 2 brothers who, with their parents were staying in a Suite. Those two boys (11 & 14) were bored to death and miserable bcause they could not go to the main pool without their parents. Parents were enjoying the Sun Deck and wouldn’t leave. Sad really. -
swinging door in aft E class hallway noisy?
jelayne replied to luckyinpa's topic in Celebrity Cruises
that looks like the door between the middle 2 SVs. We were next to it on 2 cruises and never saw or heard anyone use it. I when through it once and it is just a divider in the hall. There is minimal foot traffic at the very aft so about the only one who might use it is a cabin attendant if they have the SVs on both sides of the door. -
Sky Suites are the lowest level of suites on Celebrity. There are no Junior Suites or Mini Suites. As far as I know your can order from the MDR in the evening or the Room Service menu. We never order anything but coffee, juice and muffin from RS. There is no table that is dining height so not the most comfortable dining.

What category of suite? All suites are full suites, however the high end suites get some perks that the majority of suites don't.

A rude awakening in the middle of the night on Celebrity Constellation
jelayne replied to Les43's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We were in a Florida hotel when at 1:30a.m. the when the fire alarm went off. We and everyone in the rooms around us scrambled for the stairs and encounter those from the floor above. We all ran down the 5 flights into the lobby to find it empty and fire engines arriving. It turned out there was a malfunction in 1zone of the alarm system. So most guests had no idea that anything happened It was an unnerving experience but it was it was just 1 of those things, nobody’s fault. The thought of compensation never occurred to us. -
sunset veranda or porthole balcony? (11 night ascent)
jelayne replied to luckyinpa's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We were in a deck 10 SV and loved it. No soot but a long walk to everything, the porthole verandas are also a long walk. The SV have a large balcony and also the cabin is a couple of feet longer. -
Has that been your experience with the Unlimited Specialty Dining Package? We have never purchased that package but have purchased the 3 and 4 night packages. Only once did we not get the restaurant at or close to our desired time. That was on the Edge when it had only been sailing in the Caribbean for 2 months and Eden was fully booked. We went on a waitlist and ended up getting g in on the day we wanted, and 30 minutes later than we had hoped for.

The free Elite Captains Club wine tasting often is at 11. So martini class st 12 sounds about right.

Celebrity cruiser trying Princess...Recommendations?
jelayne replied to Super27's topic in Princess Cruises
Possibly because it is after final payment, fewer changes to the booking. The assigned time is a arrival time, not a boarding time. You select that when you do the on-line check in Normally unless you arrive before the ship is ready to start boarding, you arrive they scan boarding pass check passport and are on the ship in a few minutes. -
Celebrity cruiser trying Princess...Recommendations?
jelayne replied to Super27's topic in Princess Cruises
Loyal Celebrity cruiser going on our 1st Princess cruise on 3 weeks. Here are a few things that I have discovered that are different: smoking in part of the casino no dropping off of carry-on items before the cabins are ready. luggage tags are ready to print after completing online check-in, but boarding pass is not available until 11 days before your boarding. There are no assigned / selected boarding times If you have the plastic luggage tag holders (Amazon) for Celebrity the Princess tags do not fit in those. The tag is shorter and wider.. booking excursions & specially restaurants through the app and on-line is a mess! Booked an excursion for the 2 of us charged to 1 credit card. When we cancelled the refund was split into 2 transactions and 1/2 was refunded to 2 different credit cards. Booked 2 nights in specialty restaurants, again with the 1 credit card- card only charged for one of the. Both reservations are showing in the app but only 1 shows in our booking on line. Called the dining phone number and was told the missing reservation is in the system and we will be charged when we appear for dinner. They had no idea why we had only been charged for one or why the one we aren’t charged for isn’t showing online. The gratuity for specialty dining isn’t added when you purchase ahead, it is added when you go to tge restaurant. -
The cruise line can’t make changes for you if booked withTA is not entirely accurate. . We have booked with TAs for 20 years and cabin charges, upgrades and cruise fare repricing had to go through the TA. However we have always been able to purchase or upgrade beverage packages or purchase or upgrade wi-fi on or add the cruise line air fare with out going through the TA. That’s been our experience on Carnival, Royal, Celebrity and Azama. Our current Princess cruise is booked with a TA but I have the option to upgrade from Plus without going through the TA

When in a Suite Do you still book Speciality Restaurants?
jelayne replied to scottie99's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Those are the Classic everyday items that are available in the MDR, Blu and Luminae and have been for years . Every kitchen has them. What you can’t get in Luminae on E class ships are the rotating daily items from the MDR or Blu -
Q - Premium Access, Priority Boarding, and Linking Reservations
jelayne replied to sandjb's topic in Celebrity Cruises
If everyone with Premium Access had someone tagging along without paying, They limit the number of Premium Access passes sold because when everyone has priority then no one really has .priority -

Our 1st Princess cruise is rapidly approaching. I know that there are self serve washers and dryers but laundry is not my happy place. Does Princess offer any fill the laundry bag options or option to send a few things to the laundry Is there a dry cleaning service and any idea what the price for a pair of dress slacks, sweater, skirt or blouse would be? I have been checking the app to see what activities are offered. So far I am seeing things like ping pong, shuffleboard, speed sudoku, trivia ,karaoke, singles & LGBTQ+ get togethers, bingo, knitters & knatters offered daily is this the is this a good representation of activities during the day? Do they bring on guest speakers or offer painting. drawing, jewelry making or other craft activities that or offer matinee shows by some of the entertainers on board? Thanks!

I have one with a cord that accommodates 4 ports and 2 electrical outlets. It was not allowed. Not sure if it was the cord or the electrical outlets or both that were the problem.

Just boarded Beyond. A couple of obs3ervations
jelayne replied to mshaines's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I heard they are selling about 200 - 250 of the PA passes each cruise. There were an awful lot of people at the Concierge Lunch when we went by on our April cruise. -

The larger martinis are only available at the Martini bar The other bars serve in the standard size glass. -
To my knowledge Celebrity has never had self service laundry.
